@kirinm hoping for good news for you tomorrow.

Lifeofpies · 05/02/2018 17:56

So sorry the bleeding has started back up, intelligent. Still keeping things crossed for you for tomorrow. And you, kirknm, hope you’re ok.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 06/02/2018 08:26

Thinking of you, Kirin and intelligent - I hope you both get good news.

Congratulations on the good scan, grumpy - lovely news

kirinm · 06/02/2018 08:30

I know this is stupid but I'm not going to the EPU today. I'm going to go on Thursday. I've had no more (obvious) brown discharge so I'm going to take each day as it comes. I'm petrified of having the scan and what could follow and I think I feel better doing it closer to the weekend so I don't have too many days away from work to also feel anxious about.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 06/02/2018 09:13

I don't think that's stupid at all - it makes sense to do whatever feels best and makes you feel most comfortable. I'm glad the spotting has stopped and really hope the anxiety is manageable - lots of handholds available here if it helps Flowers

kirinm · 06/02/2018 09:35

Thanks. In the past I've been pretty quick to go to the EPU but I'm dreading the thought of it.

intelligentPutty · 06/02/2018 09:56

Well it's definitely over. It was just not meant to be.
So pleased I have my husband and daughter. As my loving family. We are complete now.
I wish you all the best in your journeys and many positive thoughts going your way.

X

Oh Intelligent I'm so so sorry to hear this. As we all know on this thread, what you're going through is shit. I'm pleased you have your family unit around you and supporting you. Look after yourself. xx

kirinm I don't think it's stupid either, it's sensible and understandable. I wouldn't have an early scan because I have a such deep rooted fear now of scan rooms. Do what's right for you. x

MsJuniper · 06/02/2018 10:32

@intelligentPutty I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard.

I know you said when you joined us it was last chance saloon and I can understand that given your traumatic experiences, but it may be worth reconsidering after you've given yourself some tlc, especially if you can get some investigations. But that's for another day. For now as you say just hug your family tight and look after yourself. Thanks for you.

So sorry to hear that intelligent. Look after yourself.

kirin, I think you just have to do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Flatwhite32 · 06/02/2018 17:15

Hi ladies. Had my 16 week midwife appointment today (although I could be nearer 17 weeks as I measured ahead in my last scan at 14 weeks). She managed to find the heartbeat. It was 140bpm. Relieved, but worrying it's lower than some other people's babies at this stage, even though she said it was normal! I always find something to be worried about!

Lifeofpies · 06/02/2018 18:22

intelligent I am so very sorry to hear this Flowers wishing you and your family all the best for the future.

flatwhite glad they listened for a hb, that’s great. I had mine y’day and the hb was slower - about 115. Mw said baby was probably sleeping and it’s not a worry. DS was much faster. I’m also worrying and unhelpfully keep comparing the audios! Have a scan in 10 days though, so counting down to that.

Flatwhite32 · 06/02/2018 18:26

@intelligentPutty just read through the thread properly. I'm so so sorry lovely. Sending much love your way. Xx

intelligentPutty · 06/02/2018 18:53

Thanks everyone. Appreciate your thoughts. Really wishing you all well. Maybe we'll try again in a few months. Not yet. See how it goes!

BertieBotts · 06/02/2018 19:08

So sorry intelligent and good luck with whatever your future holds. x

Scan tomorrow morning... not feeling too nervous yet but probably will once I'm there. I'm 11 weeks now.

Brenna24 · 06/02/2018 22:53

I am so sorry Intelligent.

I hope it goes well on Thursday Kirinm.

Best of luck tomorrow Bertie.

MsJuniper · 06/02/2018 23:00

Good luck tomorrow @BertieBotts. I am also having a scan tomorrow - 32 weeks which hardly seems possible. Hope time whizzes by and you are soon at this point too.

I think I am going to ask for an ELCS. I've always felt a bit cheated of a natural birth as I had to go through a labour process with two of my mc, but given my age, weight, GD and previous failed induction it feels like it would be better to cut to the chase (no pun intended). I don't know when they will want me to deliver by, the plan has been max 39 weeks but the GD has been crazy so it might be earlier. I just want the safest possible option for a healthy baby.

Hello, I've not been on much. Made it to 6 months yeay!

I'm so sorry for your loss intelligent Thanks take care of yourself and I do hope you are able to join this thread again soon.

Good luck for upcoming scans. Mrs J I think all roads lead to section here too. I'd rather not but when I look into it, it seems the most sensible option.

Ekphrasis · 07/02/2018 06:57

Thinking of you kirrin. It's a difficult time, I remember being in a similar situation.

ThoughtAboutThisTooMuch · 07/02/2018 08:04

Just had such a frustrating conversation with the Midwife! My 16weeks appt got cancelled cause I was due to see the dr at 18weeks but this has now been pushed back to 28weeks. So I rang up to see if I could see a midwife before then (haven’t seen anyone since 6week booking in appt) and they were basically saying that since I have a scan at 20weeks I won’t need to see a Midwife. Only reason they relented and gave me an appt was because I didn’t have the yellow book yet!?
Maybe things have changed in the last 3 years, I know that NHS is under pressure but to not see a midwife for basically the entire pregnancy seems crazy to me.
Does anyone have any info about getting private midwife appointments? Maybe I’m being overly precious but I’d like to have some reassurance that everything is going ok during the pregnancy.

ThoughtAboutThisTooMuch · 07/02/2018 10:31

Congratulations unicorns!!

MsJuniper · 07/02/2018 13:13

I am booked in for a section on 28/3 - eek!

Saw a wonderful anaesthetist who I really hope will be the one on the day. She was so reassuring and helpful. Consultants all agreed it was the best option bearing in mind all my risk factors. I'll be 39+1 so there's a chance I could go into labour before but otherwise hopefully I'll be meeting my little one then!
