Pumpkinma i did not feel my first to move till 23 weeks. I've felt butterflies with this one but nothing definite.

We think we are going for Kate Elizabeth Rose

Pumpkinma · 08/11/2017 20:00

Thanks @Vanannabananna that's reassuring maybe in a few weeks I'll start to feel movement.

That's such a lovely name ❤️

emvy · 08/11/2017 20:28

Pumpkinma, I'm the same! Convinced something is going to be wrong and really trying to stop myself getting too excited because I feel like it's such a big thing to have to get past first. We heard the heartbeat last week at 16+6 which was such a huge relief but feels like that only overcomes one anxiety - I know the baby is still alive, but there could still be so many things that could go wrong. Glad I'm not the only one but also the anxiety sucks! When is your scan?

I also haven't felt movements yet although I'm 17+5 so a little behind you. However, 18 weeks with first baby is apparently normal not to feel anything so I wouldn't worry.

Vananna, beautiful name Smile

TeaAndToast85 · 08/11/2017 21:45

Hi all. It's lovely to see the gender scan results starting to pop up on here Smile we are having ours on Sunday at 16w 3d. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Is anyone else having seriously weird pregnancy dreams? I dreamed last night that I was having triplets Shock

HarryHarry · 08/11/2017 22:23

Pumpkinma Our due dates must be really close together, I'm 18+2 today! And yes I feel exactly the same way. I can't wait for the 20 week scan (or 21 weeks in my case) so I can relax a (tiny) bit. I think I can feel some kind of movement but tbh it could be anything Smile

Pumpkinma · 08/11/2017 23:50

@emvy I hope after our scans the anxiety stops a little, not long to go now!

Pumpkinma · 08/11/2017 23:52

@TeaAndToast85 oh my god yes! So many weird dreams haha I had one the other day that I got pregnant twice more whilst pregnant with this baby and so was having three babies with three different due dates 😂

@HarryHarry wow we really our close! That's really lovely we will be going through all the same things! Not long till our scans now ❤️

MiniMummy576 · 09/11/2017 10:03

@TeaAndToast85 Oh yes the weird dreams! Last night I dreamt that DH and I met up with Gordon Ramsey and his wife for lunch and he was poking my belly asking when it would be able to kick him in the face!
(DH quite enjoyed DS kicking him in the face when I was pregnant first time round, but not sure why Gordon Ramsey came into it... Confused Blush)

DaisyLand · 09/11/2017 13:16

Where are you off to @DaisyLand? If you say somewhere sunny, I shall be very jealous. Ha.

I went to Spain when I was 8 weeks, and will be going to Amsterdam when I am 26 weeks. I think it's nice to have a little babymoon.

We have already booked our 1st trip away for when baby is born as our friends are getting married abroad. Only a long weekend in France, so nothing to adventurous.

That was a bit of a nightmare though as we were unable to book the baby on the flight (as he currently has no name or DOB) and so have to ring up and add him on once he is born.

DaisyLand · 09/11/2017 14:44

Going to barcelona (between 10 and 20degrees) for a long weekend.

Thinking whether to go to Amsterdam 1st weekend of Feb for my bday i'll be 30w so will see in the next weeks how my belly/tiredness develops.

Also thought where to take the lo for his 1st holiday when he's around 10w, it'll be back to the Basque Country for 2/3 weeks so he can meet my family and then i wanna go somewhere sunny(Santorini pleaseeeee) in Sept before my DH and I swap the parental leave.

Baby was concieved week after we came from Italy so he's meant to be as traveller as his parents :)

Deffo very jealous now @DaisyLand. I loveeeeee Spain!!
Hope you have an amazing time.

I booked Amsterdam as a surprise for my DP's birthday in January, before I knew I was pregnant. So hoping I will be ok at 26 weeks, and not too tired etc.

That sounds a lovely idea :) Holiday and introducing baby to all the family.

DS will be about 4 months when we go to France and hoping for a chilled out week somewhere (Spain probably) in September as well.

I actually bought my 1st baby item yesterday as well. All starting to seem really real now. I just want to meet him!!!

ScarletSienna · 09/11/2017 19:45

Sorry for the TMI question...
discharge. How much are you having? I feel like it’s increased a lot today and obviously my worried mind is panicking it’s amniotic fluid. I know I’m my last pregnancy it increased but just don’t remember it doing so this early!

emvy · 10/11/2017 06:42

Glad lots of you are planning holidays with babies in September - I am too! I was so worried it was going to be too early and the baby would be too little but as a teacher I want to make the most of the cheaper holidays while I can and we haven't been away for 2 years! All your little trips away during pregnancy sound wonderful as well. I'm sure you'll be fine at 26-30 weeks as long as you just take it as it comes while you're there Smile

Scarlet, mine has been increased since the very beginning. Some days I have more and others less but always more than I had pre-pregnancy. I have to wear a pantyliner. It's completely normal though, especially to increase in the second trimester, as far as I'm aware x

ScarletSienna · 10/11/2017 06:53

Thanks @emvy. I’m a teacher too-I only told my colleagues yesterday and no one had guessed. Parent’s Evenings this week have been exhausting.

ClaireBear1986 · 10/11/2017 08:26

I was really worried about this too @scarlet as mine had increased a lot too.
I spoke to two separate midwifes who both told me it's totally normal, and actually a good sign in pregnancy. So that put my mind at rest.

So many things to worry about, and it doesn't help that I have been a major worry wart all my life.

Bet that was nice to tell all your work friends, especially has nobody had any idea.
I'm soooo excited to tell my family on Sunday!!!

HarryHarry · 10/11/2017 14:48

I haven't experienced this but I do have a whole new symptom to report - back pain. It really hurts! My What To Expect When You're Expecting book says it normally starts in Week 18 (I am 18+4) and gets worse until the birth. Anyone else?

redavocado · 10/11/2017 19:06

All your holidays sound lovely! DP has a busy few months coming up at work so I think we’ll be hard pushed to squeeze in a babymoon. We’re planning to go away with the LO in August but she’ll be about 4 months so we’ll see!!

Alnilham · 11/11/2017 17:41

Was wondering where everyone went.

Daisyland I have been have anxious dreams too....that something is wrong, this is my first. Had a dream I got in a car accident and hurt the baby. The day before the dream in real life I got this really sharp pain in my right lower abdomen after just getting up it lingered for a while and the following day while going about my daylies I felt small episodes of the same pain all over. I am telling myself it is ligamentous pain, but I feel like pumpkin hasn't been moving as much...at least what I tho GH was movement.

Scarlet Sienna you are worried about your bump...anatomy can play a factor.

Minimummy said the size can change during the day, well along with pumpkin not moving asw much I feel like my stomach has gotten smaller the past few days. That is adding to my anxious feeling.

I am 18 weeks today had my midwife appointment two weeks ago and are pumpkins her strong and thank God I had doctors appointment Monday... Want to hear that wonderful sound again. My Ultrasound isn't until two weeks and like you Daisyland I just want to know my pumpkin is alright but DH is interested in the sex, I feel as though I will break down when I
Hear the heartbeat monday.
@Daisyland gland your USS went well.

Alnilham · 11/11/2017 17:57

Congrats Daisy and Lisara.

AnnaMadden seeing your bump I feel like mine has really stopped growingConfused.

Two days...I just wanna hear pumpkin.

I have been thinking about a sling as well, not sure if I really need a stroller/ pram but plan this get one of those convertible car seats...that will last forever..

I really want to invest in a Doppler and I know I will use it after as I am now a registered midwife but it won't be here till January with my mother in law.

Alnilham · 11/11/2017 18:12

@pumpkinma....I thought I was but not sure if its fetal movements.

TeaAndToast85 · 11/11/2017 22:36

Evening all. How are you all coping without booze? I seem to mainly be fine because I'm not a massive drinker, but now the weather is getting colder I would love a big glass of red wine Wine only 5 months to go...

Gender reveal scan tomorrow at 16w 3d. Hope baby is feeling cooperative...

Pumpkinma · 12/11/2017 00:43

@TeaAndToast85 I'm not a big drinker either, just came home from a party gets boring being the only sober one there haha. It's also my birthday Wednesday which I normally spend out with the girls, cocktails and dancing. The other half has got some surprises planned for me though so maybe it will be more fun being sober this year And the added bonus no hangover! 😂

Bez9087 · 12/11/2017 08:51

@teandtoast good luck for your gender scan today. Hope that baby is playing ball. I ate a chocolate bar and had a small can of Coca Cola before mine as it made babies active so could definitely see between their legs 🙈
We are up and out early today for my dd as she’s got a competition and one next Sunday 🤦🏻‍♀️ What ever happened to Sunday being the day of rest?!

AnnaMadden · 13/11/2017 11:01

Morning everyone. Sorry I haven't been on much...my account on mumsnet crashed and I've only just got it back. @Alnilham a lot of 'bump' to start with is fluid which starts to disappear eventually so your bump can actually appear to shrink. But baby is still growing and eventually will fill up your entire uterus lol. I take a photo every week and there have been times where it hasn't really changed for 2-3 weeks. Between weeks 17 and 21 baby has a growth spurt so I'm sure everyone's bumps will be popping soon! I'm also on baby number 4 so my stomach muscles are non existent lol. I have to say anxiety is a bummer though but we've all got to try and not let it ruin our amazing pregnancies!

I'm going to Lanzarote for a week at the end of this month for my birthday. We have a place there so it's nice and relaxing in the winter sun. We're going again in Dec for new year and we've also booked to take peanut in June...he or she will be roughly 9/10 weeks old so will be an experience I'm sure haha. We were able to book them on the flight as Ms Unborn Baby lol...we have to call to confirm details after the birth.

I'm still waiting for this burst of energy you're supposed to get in the 2nd trimester...I think my body missed that memo! 😴😴

Have a great day all of you and keep those scan results coming 😁
