Hi all!
Hope everyone is well?

@Alnilham I too have been having horrible anxiety dreams.. 1st pregnancy for me too. A friend of mine is also pregnant but 3 months ahead and I had a dream we went into labour at the same time and that was a disaster for me :(

After feeling early fluttering I haven't felt much movement either which I think has been playing on my mind. After my dream I had a horrible day of vomiting after not having had any morning sickness for a week- related maybe?

Am also waiting for second trimester energy but would settle for no more morning sickness!

17 wk can this week so hopefully my mind will calm down.

X

Alnilham · 13/11/2017 13:40

AnnaMadden...thanks for replying and the experiential advice. I have started taking two weekly photos from 16 weeks then I will do weekly from 20 weeks.
Do enjoy you birthday vacation.

@Teeee it really is good to hear we are not alone. All the best on your upcoming scan.

Today is my doctors appointment, will let u guys know how it goes...have a great day all.

PS. This fatigue is surreal.

TeaAndToast85 · 13/11/2017 22:39

It's a girl!! Very happy. ❤️

@Pumpkinma it's my birthday the day before!! (Tomorrow) hope your OH's surprises are brilliant and you enjoy the clear head the next morning Smile

@Bez9087 I took your advice and ate quite a lot of haribo...it looked like she was breakdancing from all that sugar! Did the job though Grin

We have already stopped saying 'the baby' and have started calling her Matilda. It's lovely.

Bez9087 · 14/11/2017 06:54

@teandtoast
Ahh so happy for you and that your happy. I’m super jealous you have a name picked already we can’t even decide one let alone two at the min 🙈 told you sweets etc would be a good thing. Someone told it me and it helped them play ball.
Happy birthday for today 🎂

Iv got the midwife this morn and drs again Thursday. Had to have an ecg done yesterday as my heart rate keeps speeding up and going so fast for a few mins and then settles and leaves me feeling dizzy and shattered. They thought blood pressure but doesn’t seem to be that low and the ecg picked something up. Plus done full blood count again to check iron levels 😩 pregnancy is draining my body.

AnnaMadden · 14/11/2017 08:22

Excellent news @TeaandToast85 congratulations again.

@Bez9087 hope they get to the bottom of your episodes. Palpations are very common in pregnancy. Let us know how you get on

Bez9087 · 14/11/2017 12:56

@anna they found something in ecg but won’t know till Thursday that result. Got my iron results back this morn and they have dropped by 34 no wonder I’m feeling so crappy 😳 they have put me on iron tablets three times a day to see if that helps. They said it’s lucky caught it as they would have needed to give me a transfusion or infusion whatever it’s called of iron if it had dropped a few points more 🤦🏻‍♀️ Also said blood pressure was low which added with the low iron isn’t helping things. Hopefully it’s all up from here now. They did say the twins zap iron more than a singleton pregnancy which makes me feel slightly better although I ended up on iron with both my other pregnancy’s 🙈 lets hope Thursday ecg doesn’t send anything bad out 🤞🏻

ClaireBear1986 · 14/11/2017 14:47

Congrats @TeaandToast85, what lovely news :)

We eventually told our families at the weekend (at just over 17 weeks) and it was one of the nicest days ever!!
All my family were totally shocked and overjoyed. I don't think I have ever seen my parents so happy in my whole life!!

Still can't help but smile every time I think about their reaction!!

I really want to have my Mum at my labour, as she has a way of being able to calm me in any situation. Just not sure if it is unfair on my DP, and should the labour be just us two instead. What do people think?

DaisyLand · 14/11/2017 15:11

Claire! Happy to hear your family was so happy about it ! It’s really good news so I’m sure they’re over the moon!
Regarding labour you know your partner and what he’d think about it. Does he help you normally calming down ?

Mine will just be dh and I. He’s the one that calms me down and knows me when I’m at my worse (he sticked with me when I went through depression and has put up with all my anxiety and knows how to treat me) my parents haven’t dealt with these situations and they normally push me to my limit and annoy me so I’d rather be just the two of us

Holidays are over now. It was good seeing family but god they know how to wind me up ! Had to count 10 a few times haha. Yesterday I barely felt baby so god panicked. Decided to call gp as mw would not pick up and got an appointment this morning. We heard the babies hb and that has calm me down. However , I’ve asked for help with anxiety as I’m really not enjoying this journey and is causing me loads of problems. Been given two leaflets, one of them is a charity that help with anxiety/depression to women that are pregnant or have just been parents so ill contact them. Hopefully their techniques combined with the mindfulness will help me to calm down when I’m anxious and everything I wanna do is cry.

As I had the day off I’ve been to mothercare fo buy some maternity clothes ! 1st ones! Anyone else has bought anything ? My clothes barely fit me so had to get something as I can’t really go with my yoga trousers to work haha they had some events In the next month. Anyone going ?www.mothercare.com/advice-buying-guides-and-services/services/expectant-parent-event/services-ms-parent-event.html

AnnaMadden · 14/11/2017 15:24

I went to the expectant parent event at bluewater mothercare a few weeks back. It was OK not wow...you get a couple of 10% off vouchers which were handy.

I've found the best and most reasonable place for maternity clothes is new look. I literally cannot wear anything from my normal wardrobe any more!

ClaireBear1986 · 14/11/2017 15:41

I knew they would be happy, but my Mum took it to a whole new level. Bless her. Going to be one lucky little boy to have my parents as Grandparents!!

In all honesty, no. It's not his fault, but he doesn't deal with pressure and stress very well. He then gets worked up, and ends up stressing me out.
Whereas my Mum has a way of really calming me down.
I had quite a big operation a while back, and I was so petrified and stressed. As soon as my Mum turned up I was fine.
The Nurse actually said she had never heard such a happy cubicle, before going for a big operation. Ha.

I hope the Charities are able to help you @DaisyLand. How far along are you now? As I still haven't felt any movement yet. But Midwife said as it is my 1st it could be quite a while still till I feel anything. (I'm 18 weeks on Thurs)

Im struggling with clothes as normal clothes are too tight, and maternity clothes are too big. I have just bought some baggy jumpers in my normal size, and then leggings in the next size up.

Teeeee · 14/11/2017 16:56

Oh gosh is everyone only just needing maternity gear now!? You are lucky! I must be a juganaught!! Sad Am only just 17 weeks and have been wearing maternity tights/ leggings/ trousers for a week and a half now.. my normal ones did not feel nice at all. The maternity ones are sooooo comfy, no going back for me now.

AnnaMadden · 14/11/2017 17:18

@Teeeee oh you're not alone...I've been in them for around 7-8 weeks now and won't be handing them back any time soon!

redavocado · 14/11/2017 17:41

@Teeeee I’ve been in maternity jeans since about week 14. My skinnies were just too tight!

Other than that I’m living in Cos dresses. They’re so roomy! I ordered some proper topshop maternity stuff today though. I’m getting sick of rotating the same few things! Still one bra though. Blush

emvy · 14/11/2017 20:19

Another one here that's been in maternity wear for a while! I think about week 14 although from the positive test I was in leggings due to bloating. My bump is officially enormous now - no clothes hide it in the slightest so there's no chance normal clothes would fit! I've personally found H&M the best fit for me.

Claire, if you need your mum there, have your mum there. Although it is a lovely thing for you and your partner it is YOU going through labour and although I've not done it before, a little birdy has told me it ain't easy! Get all the support in there you feel you need. Just be open and honest with your DH and I'm sure he'll understand Smile so pleased they were so excited for you as well.

Bez, hope your results come back ok and fingers crossed the iron tablets make you feel a bit better.

Tea, congratulations on finding out you're having a little girl! The name Matilda is gorgeous. I'll be taking this sugar advice for mine as well I think, haha.

Daisy, I hope the charity is helpful. I'm currently having counselling through a miscarriage charity due to previous losses and really struggling in this pregnancy to stay positive and imagine bringing home a baby at the end of it. It's such a worrying and stressful time and I find just having someone to express all my "silly" worries once a week is invaluable. Just voicing them helps and having someone non-judgemental to listen and offer support. I really hope you find yours as helpful.

Sorry if I've missed anyone I've been awol for a bit! Felt little bub absolutely boot me the other day - it was the first time I was sure it was baby. So wonderful but felt so so weird! They haven't done it again but I've felt so many more movements since - I know now that the flutters I've been feeling are the baby. It's lovely to feel it fluttering away. Anyone else got movements yet?

ForeverHopeful21 · 14/11/2017 21:10

I bought maternity jeans from Asos and have been wearing them since 10 weeks Blush they're exactly like my normal Asos jeans but just with a stretchy band, so they don't come up massive or look like maternity wear. I also bought the most amazing pyjamas from La Redoute and will happily wear them forever and ever as they are the most comfortable things on the planet.

I'm having a terrible time with bras too. I'm normally a 28e but at the moment I'm in a 32G which is boggling my mind. It still doesn't fit well but I just hate the thought of spending a lot when I'm sure these huge melons will continue to grow even bigger Confused

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and not felt any movement yet ....that I'm aware of. Sometimes if I concentrate I'll notice things but then I'm pretty sure its just general gurgling Grin

amysaurus87 · 14/11/2017 21:40

I'm finding H&M has been amazing for maternity wear, been in it for about 2 weeks now, some of it is little big but my normal clothes were just to tight!

I'm 18 weeks and I think I've felt the odd flutter here and there but I'm not to sure! I heard heartbeat at 16week midwife appt and again at a consultant appt I had last week. So that's given me some reassurance.

Had my first really awful pregnancy dream last night, it was horrid woke up and started crying it was so so real.

charlie0692 · 15/11/2017 08:19

Hi all, hope you are all ok. haven't been on here for a while so just tried to catch up on all of your messages. Congrats to everyone who have found out what they are having ☺ I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and have my 20 week scan on Monday 🙈 so excited/nervous. We have decided we're not going to find out what we are having ☺. Anyone felt and little kicks yet? Other than the odd little fluttery feeling I haven't felt anything yet, praying I'll feel a little kick soon! X

DRSLondon · 15/11/2017 08:34

Hi ladies, just found this thread and I'm due April 9th! Great to hear how you are all doing.

Charlie, we aren't going to find out the gender either... I already have a son and have no preference gender wise. Just want a healthy bubba.

Emvy- I see a therapist because I'm also incredibly anxious and find it hard to believe I will have a baby. I'm getting more positive as each week passes but having had a loss at 21 weeks, 9 weeks and a chemical I'm a bit emotionally bruised and battered.
My 20 week scan is next week and I'm v nervous but as it's a high risk pregnancy I've had scans weekly until 12 weeks and then at 16 weeks and everything looks fine.

Amysaurus - I had a similar dream. Very stressful and alarming but not had any others so hoping that won't happen again.

Been having lovely kicks since 17 weeks so that can be reassuring/worrying!

Have a good day all x

ClaireBear1986 · 15/11/2017 09:21

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and still not felt anything at all :(
My Midwife said being my 1st, its quite likely that I wont feel anything till closer to 25 weeks, so could be quite a while still for me!!

I bought some maternity bits recently but they were so big, so I haven't been able to wear them yet. I've found leggings and baggy jumpers are perfect atm.

I still just look bloated rather than pregnant at the moment though. Ha.

Thanks @emvy, I'm going to speak to DP at the weekend. I'm sure he will be fine with it.
Maybe I can even have my Mum in the waiting room and just call her if I need her.

I have been having very vivid nightmares for the last few weeks. Wakes me up, and then I struggle to get back to sleep.

Im having a bad day at work as our Cover Guard has managed to break the main toilet and the heating.
So I am now freezing, and having to go down to the basement every time I need the toilet!!!

DRSLondon · 15/11/2017 09:27

Don't worry clairebear I didn't show until much later with my first and didn't feel kicks until 24 weeks.

Good luck with the toilet and heating situation!

ClaireBear1986 · 15/11/2017 09:43

Thanks @DRS. Praying they get fixed soon. Knowing my company they will still be broken this time next year!!!

Yeah Ive heard its quite common for things to happen later with the 1st baby.
All was well at my 16 week scan, so trying not to worry too much about things. Very hard for me though as I am a massive worry wart!!

DaisyLand · 15/11/2017 09:51

i've not felt proper kicks neither, sometimes i feel like someone is punching me but not 100% what it's.

But i've been having loads of bubbles most of the days since week 14 ,

Welcome to the team @DRSLondon ! We're really close in DD, I'm 11-04 tho i've been given as well 7th and 9th of April. 9th if we take into account the LPD and 11th if we take the conception date, I did conceive around 17-18 of the cycle and that's why baby is a little bit behind in the scan

Pumpkinma · 15/11/2017 14:19

Not been on here for ages, just catching up with everyone's messages.

So much going on for everyone, such a crazy time!

I'm 20 weeks and still not felt anything I've got my next scan on Monday and I'm so so nervous about it. I don't even really know why. Confused

Feels like I'm getting over the worst of the sickness now thank god! 2 days puke free hurray!!

Hope you all have a good rest of the week ladies 😊

HarryHarry · 15/11/2017 14:24

I'm 19+2 with #1 and I feel like something is pushing out from inside but I can't be sure it's the baby.

Had a bit of a wobble last night, crying from being so fed up with aches and pains and nausea and tiredness, and resenting how my body is not my own right now and won't be for a long time, then feeling guilty for being ungrateful about the baby. I don't have any friends or family here so it's just that little bit harder.

HarryHarry · 15/11/2017 14:29

DRSLondon I'm April 9th too Smile
