Hi everyone, just tried to catch up I've been crazy busy with work and haven't had a chance to get on.

So lovely to hear about your scans, I had my 20 weeks last week and baby is well was amazing to see, me and my OH didn't find out the sex we are waiting for birth. Was his idea it's getting harder for me to not know 😂 there really isn't much choice with gender neutral clothes and I want to shop!

@Bez9087 I hope everything goes well with your cardiologist!

Is there anyone else still not feeling movements? I'm 21 weeks today and haven't really felt much movement and if I am feeling it I'm not aware of it, making so sad and nervous hope my little pumpkin starts kicking me in the ribs soon ❤️😂

lisara79 · 26/11/2017 11:41

Hey all... been a while since I posted but still watching! I have 20 week scan on Tuesday and, again, worrying myself stupid... I saw the baby on a quick scan the consultant did bit I've had pains that I don't like this week (period type cramping) nothing too painful and no bleeding but I'm a worrier!! @pumkinma I'm not really feeling much (or any) movement yet... I feel some things but still not entirely sure what they are and I'm 20+3... a friend of mine said she didn't feel movement until 23/24 weeks xx

Teeeee · 26/11/2017 12:26

Hi all,

Happy Sunday.

@lisara79 I've had sort of cramp like pains too and my doctor said it was normal- and google also said so too. Apparently its my uterus growing and muscles stretching out.. maybe its the same for you?

I also think I feel the little one moving but am not at all sure.. no big kick or anything, the odd bubble. Hard to know!!

All the best for your scan! Mine is the week after :/

lisara79 · 26/11/2017 12:30

Thanks @teeeee .. just can't wait until the scan. x

amysaurus87 · 26/11/2017 19:50

Had 20week scan on Friday and all is ok, didn't find out sex as we want it to be a surprise.

@pumpkinma I've not felt any movements yet either, baby kicked during 20week scan and I didn't feel it 😂 I think I've felt the odd flutter but I'm not sure.

emvy · 26/11/2017 20:09

Lovely to hear more good scan news!

Lisara, I've had those too. Baby is just getting bigger and stronger every day now so will be taking up more and more room. It's so scary when it happens and I panic too but I just wanted to reassure you that another of us is feeling it too so you're not alone! Sounds like it's pretty normal so that's what we need to remind ourselves. I hope you start feeling proper wriggles soon as that helps to reassure x

Pumpkinma · 27/11/2017 09:06

Thanks ladies I'm glad I'm not the only one not feeling anything yet. In a few weeks I'm sure I'll feel little pumpkin summersaulting away 😊❤️

WonderfullySunny · 27/11/2017 12:25

@Bez9087 how are you doing? You said your anomaly scan is this week so hope all goes well.

@emvy glad to hear the scan went well and to everyone else who’s has theirs!

Good luck for everyone with theirs this week, I don’t have mine for another two weeks yet feels so far away with you all having them!!

Anyone have really sharp pain in their lower abdomen when they sneeze? Has made me yelp a few times!

Pumpkinma · 27/11/2017 21:19

@WonderfullySunny oh my god yes with the sneezes! It's horrible have to push my side in every time I sneeze now such a weird horrible pain

Loosemoose28 · 27/11/2017 22:04

Scan went well. Good job didnt want to know sex as legs were togther Grin

Placenta is low but only needs to move a cm to be clear so trying not to worry- explains the early bleeds. Still not feeling movements but baby moved so much during the scan was lovely to see. Seems to like hands by ears (maybe we are too loud for him/ her Wink)

Loosemoose28 · 27/11/2017 22:06

Sneezing hurts and for some reason I don't always feel I need the loo so erm sneezing is risk at times!! Always thought my pelvic floor was ok. I am a horse rider with good muscles!!

WonderfullySunny · 28/11/2017 06:39

@Loosemoose28 great news on the scan! Am with you on the sneezing/slight leakage, thought my pelvic floor was pretty good so am starting to realise extra exercises are needed!

@Pumpkinma I hadn't thought of using hands to press in will give that a go next time, seems to be worse if lying down or sitting in the car oddly. Glad it's not just me though 🙈

lisara79 · 28/11/2017 17:11

Hi All... 20 weeks scan today. All seems great. Nothing to worry about. Have to go back in two weeks as he was upside down and couldn't see his heart properly. Naughty baby!

Ninjamilo · 28/11/2017 18:14

How is April rapidly approaching?!

We had a 16 week gender scan as hubby wanted to start shopping, and we're having a girl 😊

Then a couple of weeks later ended up with an unexpected scan as I had to see the consultant for high platelets in my blood - my anxiety disappears as soon as I see her kicking away on screen!

Currently panicking massively as for the last week and a half baby has been kicking away like mad, and the last 3 days absolutely nothing. My sensible head says she's just moved position and it's still early days, non sensible head panics! I think I would have rather not felt anything until later...

Roll on next Friday and next scan.....god knows how I'm going to cope from then on til due day 🙈

I guess we'll all always find something to worry about though won't we?!

Hope everyone who is still waiting their 20 week scans things go well x

HarryHarry · 28/11/2017 18:24

Congratulations everyone on your scans! Mine is tomorrow morning so I am very excited/scared. I've been feeling a lot of (what I think is) movement for the past 2 days now. I can't wait to find out whether it's a boy or a girl so I can start shopping for cute stuff! All the gender neutral stuff here is either white or grey which is really boring so it looks like we'll have to do the whole blue/pink thing whether we want to or not.

I agree about the sneezing - I read that it's worse when you are lying down and that if you hold the bottom of your bump when it happens, it hurts a bit less.

emvy · 28/11/2017 19:41

Congratulations on more good scans!

Harry, good luck for tomorrow. Enjoy it, it's just wonderful!

Ninjamilo, I'm with you on the movement panic. Bub is usually so, so active but he seems to have odd quiet days (today is one of those) and I always panic! I try and tell myself, like you, it's still such early days for movement and he's likely just in a position that makes it less likely to feel, but after watching him somersaulting on the scan I find it difficult to imagine he's continually in any one position for very long and therefore if he is, something must be wrong!

I guess you're right that we'll always find something to worry about. The stillbirth stuff in the news makes me worry, even though I know it's a really good thing that they're now rolling out automatic testing for stillborn babies. I guess just hearing about it makes you consider it. Well, it does me anyway!

Gah! Sorry everyone! I'm clearly in a worrying mood this evening sorry for the massive message 🙈

Ninjamilo · 28/11/2017 19:49

@emvy it's reassuring to know I'm not alone! Trying to avoid stuff in the media as it's always negative.

And I'm so with everyone on the sneezing - genuinely thought I'd damaged something at the weekend!

Pumpkinma · 28/11/2017 20:07

I had really bad sickness for so long, for about the last two weeks I hadn't been sick at all and actually had some energy. Then today bam sickness all day and feel like utter crap! Anyone else still being sick? I'm 22 weeks now thought it would be over by now 😩

3tobecome4 · 28/11/2017 21:46

Hi all just joined mumsnet! I am due April 13th with my second baby! I already have a very loving but very lovely 2 year old boy!
A little bit nervous about how I'm going to manage them both but so excited at the same time! X

emvy · 29/11/2017 07:26

It can be so difficult can't it, Nanjamilo.

Pumpkinma, could it be a bug? There's a sickness bug being passed around the school I work in. I hope you don't suffer for too long you poor thing Sad

Welcome, 3tobecome4! Exciting times ahead! We are due date buddies - I'm also due on the 13th!

Teeeee · 29/11/2017 15:19

@Pumpkinma I too have been having better nausea and sickness and then think everything's ok and then boom.. I'll have to jump out of public transport and run to the street to throw up!! I'm a couple weeks behind you though so maybe emvy's right and its a bug.. but I have a friend who was sick till week 24, and another who was sick throughout!! Apart fron the occasional surprise bout of throwing up, I'm generally ok if I keep away from my triggers.. but I definitely still have a bunch of triggers Sad hope you're better bow anyway. X

Pumpkinma · 29/11/2017 15:22

@emvy @Teeeee

Thanks guys, I don't think it's a bug I don't feel like I'm I'll just nauseated and meh ... I think work is stressing me out and running me down plus it's quite a way for me to travel so I think that doesn't help me. Fingers crossed it passes soon.

Hope you feel better soon @Teeeee

HarryHarry · 29/11/2017 20:21

It's a boy! And I think he's going to be super cute! The sonographer said everything was perfect so that's a huge relief. Embarrassingly, I cried when I saw his little face Grin

I know for sure now that what I've been feeling is the baby moving because I could see him jumping and kicking on the screen at the same time. The movements are really strong now.

Sorry to hear that some of you aren't feeling very well again - hope it passes soon; welcome to 3tobecome4 and anyone else I might have missed; and best of luck to Bez9087 for tomorrow.
