April 26th I meant!! (There goes my pregnancy brain in a muddle) Hmm

redavocado · 22/11/2017 08:02

@Teeeee they changed mine (from 2nd to 3rd) and I still go by the first one because it means counting Mondays, which is much easier!

GlitterRollerSkate · 22/11/2017 08:16

Good morning lovely ladies!

How is everyone? Sorry I fell off the other thread but I had a lot of bleeding early on and assumed the worse. But thankfully everything (fingers crossed) seems to be well. I have been moved a whole day forward from my dating scan so due on the 24th now. Have my 20 week scan next week and cannot decide whether to find out or not. We had a surprise last time.

Hope everyone is well we've all had stinking colds! Xxx

Rebeccaslicker · 22/11/2017 08:20

Glitter - my friend did that - she chose to find out with the second so she experienced one surprise and one knowing. I thought that was quite a nice way to look at it! Glad all is well :)

ClaireBear1986 · 22/11/2017 08:37

I have my 20w scan next Friday. I'm excited to see the little one again, but also really nervous as it's such a big medical scan.

My due date has been the same on every scan, and I have had 4 so far. I was told this is quite unusual especially as my 1st scan was at 9 weeks and I was told it can be quite hard to date it accurately that early on.

Ordered some lovely Christmas maternity jumpers yesterday, so just hoping that they fit.
Probably will look quite baggy now, as I still don't have much of a bump but assuming that it will be a bit bigger by Xmas, but who knows.

Had 3 friends all give birth this week, which was lovely. But made me feel like I am still so far away from that stage. I just want it to speed up now as it is really dragging. I feel like I have been pregnant for about 5 years. Ha ha.

AnnaMadden · 22/11/2017 09:07

@WonderfullySunny no you couldn't see anything from the outside...perhaps if I wasn't wearing clothes but as I was at work I didn't think that appropriate lol. Mind you this little one is a minx already...he/she could be doing serious star jumps but as soon as hubbie puts his hand on my tummy to feel it...completely stops and is as still as anything!

GoingIn · 22/11/2017 09:12

Waiting for my 20 week scan early next week. Tummy is getting sore everytime I do even a minimally demanding activity such as walking a short distance at a slightly brisk pace. I've given up on cycling for the moment. Thankfully I can feel baby kicking regularly, that's reassuring. I just hope everything goes well.

Any good tips where to get affordable maternity trousers for work? Also where could I get chino-style maternity trousers, good quality but not too expensive please.

GlitterRollerSkate · 22/11/2017 14:09

Thanks @Rebeccaslicker.. that is a good way to look at it! To be honest I'm dying to know!

I got most of my stuff from eBay last time. There aren't many shops near me that carried maternity wear in store. Got quite a few bargains and everything was in great condition. I've kept it for this time Smile

AnnaMadden · 22/11/2017 18:41

@GoingIn sounds like Braxton Hicks...Nothing to worry about but can be annoying/uncomfortable. Just listen to your body and rest when possible

WonderfullySunny · 23/11/2017 07:29

@GoingIn I’ve recently bought some maternity chinos in black for work £22. Not sure how links work on here yet but here goes:

Emoconn · 23/11/2017 08:58

I’ve been feeling movement since 18 weeks but I am very slim. Baby was kicking like crazy at the scan yesterday!! We were hoping to find out the gender but when she went to look his foot was in the way. We are going to book a private gender scan in a few weeks as we wanted the sonographer to write the gender in a card and open it on xmas day.

Emoconn · 23/11/2017 09:01

@clairebear1986 can I ask why you’ve had 4 scans already? Are you high risk?

molifly · 23/11/2017 09:02

Hey ladies, got my 20 week scan today and very anxious! Some hand holding required please xx

DaisyLand · 23/11/2017 09:11

I'll hold yours if you hold mind! I've got mine at 245pm... luckily busy at work so hopefully will think as little as possible!
Good luck @monifly

No I'm not high risk @Emoconn

Just had a private early scan at 9 weeks, as I had taken my implant out recently and so had no idea of my dates due to no periods.
Then my 12 week scan was booked in too early, so I had to go back again a week later as they were unable to get the measurements they needed 1st time.
Then I had a private gender scan done at 16 weeks, as I was too impatient to wait and find out the sex. Ha.

I have my 20 week scan next Fri, and then a 4D scan booked for the end of Jan.

I'd have a scan every week if I could though tbh, as I'm such a worry wart. And seeing his little heart beating and his feet kicking, just puts my mind at rest.

GlitterRollerSkate · 23/11/2017 12:39

Good luck @DaisyLand and @molifly. Very envious mine's not until next week and I cannot wait!

Rebeccaslicker · 23/11/2017 12:51

Lots of luck scan ladies 🤞🏻🤞🏻

amysaurus87 · 23/11/2017 16:42

Got my 20week scan tomorrow can't wait to see bubba again...still very much determined not to find out what we are having.

Part of me wants to find out and call it a birthday present to myself 😂

DaisyLand · 23/11/2017 17:15

Hi
Everything ok here. It’s been on of my most stressful days but important thing is that baby boy is ok so that’s everything we care about.

Good luck for tomorrow’s scans

Congratulations Daisy, so glad all is well.

I also have mine tomorrow, first thing thank goodness. Little one is such a wriggle bum and I can feel him/her moving all the time so that's been a nice reassurance, I just really hope all is well tomorrow. Feeling pretty anxious to say the least!

Best of luck amy for tomorrow and for anyone else who has one lined up over the next couple of days!

Bez9087 · 24/11/2017 10:37

Good luck to all on their scans xx
We had midwife and drs yesterday as my hearts been racing etc, anyway think I’m going to need cardiology to investigate 🙈 something big on the ecg has come up which isn’t good. Heard both the girls heartbeats yesterday which was needed after a crap few days.
Hope we are all well our anomaly scan is next week already counting down the days too it. Just want it over and done so can try relax.

emvy · 24/11/2017 17:43

That sounds scary Bez, I hope all comes out alright on your cardiology tests. Lovely you got to hear the heartbeats though!

20 week scan went well today. Everything looked as it should and growth is bang on which I was concerned about as I'm underweight. Baby is such a wriggler and didn't disappoint at the scan. Gender was very clear according to the sonographer and she was able to confidently tell us we are having a baby boy! 💙 Over the moon! OH and I didn't mind but I think he's even more chuffed now he's having a son. It's made it all so real and seeing his little hands, feet and little face is just wonderful. Again, best of luck to those of you with scans coming to - will be thinking of you all!

HarryHarry · 24/11/2017 18:53

That must be so stressful Bez, my anomaly scan is next week too (Wednesday), hope it goes well for both of us.

Congratulations emvy did they give you any pictures from the scan?

emvy · 24/11/2017 19:45

Yes we got photos Harry, but my OH isn't too keen on me posting the pictures online (don't ask me why, it looks like a standard scan picture 😂). We bought 3 but the sonographer gave us a freebee which was really lovely!

Bez9087 · 24/11/2017 20:56

Thanks ladies very stressful at the min. They want me to take the two ecg reports to consultant when i see her (after our anomaly scan on Thursday) can’t wait to see the girls again and get it definitely confirmed although she was very confident at 16 weeks they was girls will be nice to have it official as such after that scan. I’m so glad all the scans have been going well. Literally can’t wait for ours. have been feeling more and more movement it’s been amazing but worrying at the same time as seem to feel lots on the right side but hardly anything on the left. The midwife reassured me yesterday you get a dominant twin so my right one must be the dominant one (bossy more like 😂) starting to get somewhere with names too we have a shortlist which is more than what we have had in last few weeks lol.
