Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

Ah that makes me worry a little less then. With you on the night sweats and constipation, plus a delightful coldsore 😓

It’ll all be worth it ladies! Got my 12 week scan appointment for 13 dec today, anything be else had theirs yet?

thinpigeon · 11/11/2017 18:59

I actually haven't been sick at all. Been pretty nauseous and certain smells definitely turn my stomach but no vomiting as yet! Sure I will get my fair share of other issues though. Seeing my midwife for booking in on Monday (will be 9+4) and hoping to get an idea of my scan date then
... Still doesn't seem quite real somehow!

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 11/11/2017 19:02

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing o.k this first trimester is going so slowly and my scan isn't for another 4 long weeks!
Meow I haven't been Physically sick at all. I feel sick all day everyday though lol.

Scotslass01 · 12/11/2017 11:27

Hi all,
I'm 8+2, haven't really been sick but have bout of feeling really nauseous, I have lost my appetite a bit and have gone off lots of my favourite foods. I have my booking appointment on Wednesday with the midwife and booked for scan on the 14th Dec. I'll be 13 weeks when I get my scan. Are you taking DH to your midwife appointments?

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 12/11/2017 12:02

I didn't take DH as this is our second and the booking appointment he really doesn't need to be there for as it's just an hour of questions.
He will defo be coming to the scans though.

meow1989 · 12/11/2017 12:46

DH came to the first midwife appt but she’s coming to our house to do the rest of the booking appointment as it’s a long one and he’ll be working so prob won’t be around for that bit.

MegEmski · 12/11/2017 18:10

I had an early scan last weekend with ultrasound direct and had a heartbeat 😁 very exciting

Had on off nausea, mostly all day worst in evenings!

Booking in appt on Friday, at which point I'll be almost 11 weeks.... hopefully I'll then get my scan booked quickly!

Should I already have a scan booked / should I be doing anything?

Arlington77 · 12/11/2017 19:06

Hi again ladies!
Had my booking-in appointment with the midwife yesterday, following 8-week and 10-week scans, and have my 12-week scan booked for 24th November! I can't believe we've all got this far :-)
Actually, this is silly but... I was feeling a bit more/confident and the nausea has been improving - then I just read an article by a journalist who suffered consecutive miscarriages at 13 weeks, 10 weeks and 9 weeks and it's really depressed me. Who am I to think I'm making progress? Why did I think that 10 weeks was a milestone of any kind? One can miscarry at any point.
So worrying.
hope you're all doing well xx

Finefineanddandy · 12/11/2017 19:54

Hi arlington77,I don't think you're wrong to have felt more confident.Of course things can go wrong at any point, but I suppose that's true of everything in life and although miscarriages can happen later they are a lot less likely for you now. Especially as it sounds like you've had scans and seen a heartbeat,so try not to worry.I have days when I feel worried but am mostly trying to just enjoy thinking about the baby and starting to make a few plans, even letting myself wonder if they will look like their big sister!

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 16/11/2017 06:18

I'm almost 10 weeks and my nausea that was flooring me since wk 5 has practically gone.
I should be glad but I'm really worried, where is everybody else at with the nausea?

thinpigeon · 16/11/2017 10:46

Apparently it can be quite normal to improve around 10-11 weeks as the placenta starts to take over. Mine hasn't been as bad over the last week (10 weeks today!), but that may also be because I've had a horrid cold and not been able to smell anything as it seems to be increasing again now...

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 16/11/2017 16:00

Thanks pigeon. I'm not normally too much of a worrier but I felt so, so bad and was expecting to feel bad for a lot longer.

Scotslass01 · 16/11/2017 22:09

@Ilovechocolatetoomuch I think that's common, try not to fret. I can't wait until I start feeling human again.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 17/11/2017 07:08

Thanks scots I am on a countdown to our scan in 3 weeks. Then I think I will feel much better.

JOEM1978 · 17/11/2017 18:32

Hi, I don't use this very often so hoping I'm doing this right, can I join you please? I'm 11 weeks pregnant and due on June 12th, I have 2 lovely children, 17 and 8 and have had 3 miscarriages recently, all at around 8 weeks, I had a scan yesterday n everythings looking good but I'm in a lot of pain, sometimes sharp pain mostly on the left but now also pain in my left bum cheek and down my leg, the midwife things I've forgot how painful it can be to be pregnant but I wondered if anyone else felt the same? Thanku xx

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 18/11/2017 13:55

Hi Joe. Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I am having loads of aches and pains too, I presume it is normal, I hope it is although my first pregnancy was nothing like this.

JOEM1978 · 18/11/2017 14:57

Thank you for your reply, when are you due? I assume its normal too as the midwife didn't seem worried at all xx

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 18/11/2017 16:00

I am due 14th June. I have also had terrible pressure on my bladder. It is our second Dc

Scotslass01 · 19/11/2017 10:14

Hey,
The midwife said it's totally normal for twinges and pains and your womb is stretching. I'm feeling really sore today. It feels different to cramp.

JOEM1978 · 19/11/2017 19:17

It does feel different to cramp, it's sharp pains for me, it's just worrying

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 19/11/2017 21:26

Is anybody starting to show yet? If so how far gone are you? I'm 10 weeks and my jeans are feeling tight.

JOEM1978 · 19/11/2017 21:57

I'm 11 weeks and my clothes are tight, I've also ate alot though 😊 x

thinpigeon · 20/11/2017 09:42

I'm 10+4 and can't really see a change yet, but my jeans and trousers are definitely getting tighter, even though I've lost weight, so something must be going on!

Scotslass01 · 20/11/2017 21:42

Hey, I am 9+5 and the bloating is unbelievable. I look about 5months. It's ridiculous. Gets worse as the day goes on.
