Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

Midwife appointment this a.m at 7+6. I had a dream that I turned up and they put me in a pregnant aqua aerobics class by mistake. I am going to a birthing centre rather than the hospital this time, and think I am nervous about making the right decission about where to give birth.
I had the worst experience in hospital with my ds and said I would never return, however I was seconds away from an emergency c section and had I not been in a hospital I think I may have been in trouble.
Where are you guys planning to give birth?

trac2007 · 05/11/2017 07:49

Hi everyone, new to the board but 10 weeks pregnant today...wow, double figures! EDD is 3 June. I have a 3.5 year old daughter. We got pregnant last summer, had a 20 week scan in december and our son had multiple heart problems 😢 I was induced and he was born sleeping on 15 December at 21+3. We fell pregnant again in March but miscarried at 7+2. So you can imagine this is a rather nerve wrecking pregnancy! Because of the heart conditions my son had, I'm under consultant care with scans at 8, 12, 16, 20 and 22 weeks. If all is "ok" I'll be discharged by the consultant and can go back to low risk and go to the birthing unit for another water birth (heaven!). I had my 8 week scan 2 weeks ago, placement was good and heart beat seen. I then began bleeding last Monday at 9+1, went EPU and had another scan on Friday, again, baby was fine and wiggling away...this one seems it is going to be a pickle already! My booking in app isn't until 14 Nov at 11+2 and my 12 week scan is 22 Dec at 12+2. I'm lucky that I don't get severe symptons, I've had a couple of bouts of sickness, my boobs have grown and hurt all the time, I've got a bit spotty and wake at about 3am every day for no reason! Good luck everyone x

Hi T2007, Sorry for your losses fingers crossed for sticky bean this time.
My booking appointment was cancelled at the weekend but had it this a.m instead. Got my scan date through for early Dec. My official due date for now is 15th June.

Hey, how is everyone getting on? I’m 7 weeks and a few days now and have literally been having the worst nausea and dizziness I’ve ever experienced. Started almost two weeks ago and I’ve had no respite since. Not actually being sick too many times, just 3/4 times a day but basically unable to get off the couch as I feel so faint constantly! No appetite at all and can hardly drink water (had intravenous fluids at A&E yesterday!) I’ve even lost 8lbs in weight in a fortnight! I’ve literally tried everything from every ginger item you can think off, travel sickness bands, forcing myself to eat something regularly, etc, etc! Nothing helps! Anyone in the same position with any tips or suggestions?!

Finefineanddandy · 08/11/2017 15:03

Jemk84 - that sounds really tough.I haven't had much sickness in this pregnancy so far but did last time.I think after two weeks and losing that much weight you should consider going to the GP to see if they can give you anything to help.Hopefully it will get better soon!

jemk83 · 08/11/2017 15:47

Thanks @Finefineanddandy. I did go to the GP yesterday who sent me straight to A&E... the doctor there wouldn’t prescribe anti sickness meds as I’m “not vomiting enough” to warrant them... Advice was simply to try and drink more and not force food if I’m not up to it! It’s like how I’m feeling has been trivialised because of the amount of times I actually throw up, it doesn’t matter that I literally cannot stand up! I’m just praying every hour that it subsides at 12 weeks and I’m not one of those people who has it for the entire 9 months!

hkay · 11/11/2017 07:20

@bissett80 i've been thinking of you these last few weeks and had been meaning to reply to your first message. Just not been on here for weeks and not sure where the time went. So sorry that you have mc. Must be such an emotional time, esepecially after last time. I hope you are doing okay. Take care. Sending lots of love xxx

hkay · 11/11/2017 07:36

@jemk83 sounds like you're really struggling. I was told ginger and B6 is good for any queasy symptoms! Luckily I haven't needed to try it out but this was recommended to me - Better You Pregnancy Vitamin D Oral Spray, Dlux. Also I follow someone on IG who swears by the Pink Stork products for morning sickness. I can only find the herbal tea on uk Amazon. The product is from the US and over there you can buy tablets and sprays. How about sea sickness ginger sweets to quell the symptoms? Sometimes it's nice to have something sweet. Just make sure they've got real ginger in them. Good luck x

meow1989 · 11/11/2017 13:31

I’m not being goady with this I promise, but has anyone only been sick once? I was on tues and though morning sickness would be a daily thing but although I’m nauseous I haven’t actually been sick again. Quite refluxy and burpy and really feel like I want to be sick but nothing. I sort of didn’t mind being sick as it made me feel pregnant!

Still tired with painful breasts and looking about 5 months with the bloat! So attractive right now (7+5)

Finefineanddandy · 11/11/2017 15:43

Meow1989 - don't worry,im nearly ten weeks and have only been sick once, minimal nausea.I was really sick with my first baby and it seems to just be random.Im sure people don't feel you are goading as we will still get our fair share of all the other pregnancy joys, constipation and night sweats are my current favourites!
