Anyone else? I know I'm an early bird. BFP yesterday and today (AF was due today)

Already a mix of impatient and freaking eat.

Need to stop googling and reading statistics that stress me out. Hoping I feel a bit more chilled when I get to 12 weeks

Also don't know when to tell family, friends, work. DH and I live (temporarily, but temporarily like the next 6 months) in an annex at my parents so we will see them all the time. Sure my Mum will guess something is up. Best friends? manager? work friends?

Thinking I will end up telling my parents quite soon. but DHs parents, and best friends, say 8 weeks? no way I can wait until 12 weeks I dont think which I know is 'traditional'

its all a minefield to me!

Do I ring the Drs now? wait? Will the DRs care yet?

the questions!

Hello all!

I got my bfp on Sunday, my EDD is 17th June (I think) I went to see our practice nurse on Monday and I'm referred to the midwife and just awaiting a call. I'm getting awful cramps as well, glad it's not just me. This is my first pregnancy and I was quite worried about it. The nurse was also reassuring about it. Other than that and the odd queasy spell I feel pretty normal.

shortcake76 · 12/10/2017 16:59

@Pinecone I could have written that post!! I only found out on Monday. My DH still isn't convinced as he says "I don't trust a plastic stick!" I swing between feelings of anxiety about the whole thing to pangs of excitement, allthough trying to not get too carried away as very early days!

Ladies can I ask? How many weeks actually am I? I know it sounds a bit silly, but according to the NHS calculator online I am only 4 weeks, btu every other site i have been on says 6 weeks! To give you an idea, the first day of my last period was 26 August and my cycles are usually about 38 days long each.

Hi! 5 weeks pregnant with my first, not quite sure it’s sunk in yet. Nurse told me it would probably take 6 months to a year to conceive; it took about 2 weeks. Think we’re still in shock. Having just got married and moved into a doer-upper, that 6 moths to a year timeline would have suited a lot better 😂

I’m not really having many symptoms, just a bit of a loss of appetite. Part of me wishes I was having some more symptoms, so it seemed more ‘real’. I took another pregnancy test a few days ago just to make sure I hadn’t made it all up!

It’s going to be a long 5 weeks until the scan.....

Hello. Got my bfp on Tuesday. Been trying two years, due mid June, mega excited!

0to3sadonions · 14/10/2017 00:06

Awww I was in the June group last year. It only seems like yesterday. Currently sat feeding 17 week old DS 💙

Good luck to you all, wishing you all healthy pregnancies Smile

Finefineanddandy · 14/10/2017 07:47

Hi can I join too? This will be our second baby,my little girl is only 9 months but we wanted them close together.Still it came as a shock as this was the first month of half trying so it's still sinking in. I am feeling really nervous as I felt very unwell last time by this point but next to nothing symptom wise so far! I'm trying to just enjoy it anyway as what will happen will happen and hopefully all will be well.

Not long now really until 12 weeks scans for everyone xx

Orangesaretheonly · 14/10/2017 08:15

Can I join? Got bfp last Thursday, AFwas due last Monday but ever came! We’ve recently got married and it seemed to happen first time of trying!! Last period was 8/9 so I think I’m 5 weeks. Going to ring doctors this week. Just me and my husband that know at the moment. When is everyone planning on telling work?

DLD1201 · 14/10/2017 09:45

Hey I got my bfp on Wednesday. Bit of a shock and it will be 3rd baby and youngest is only 19 months. So very scared. And I had already booked a holiday for August in spain not sure if i want to be going with a 7 week old. Edd 18 June x

thinpigeon · 14/10/2017 12:00

Hello everyone. I'm due 14th June, assuming everything goes OK and I've done my maths right! I've already had to tell work due to my job as there are some fairly serious H&S implications even in first trimester... Husband only other person that knows, haven't told rest of the family yet. Will be our first baby so still getting my head round things!

meow1989 · 15/10/2017 10:52

Can I tentatively join? I've had 5 (yes because I'm crazy) faint bfps since thurs not due on until weds or fri this week but took a second frer today (2 days since last) and line is getting darker so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Assuming all is well ( and I don't think I'll believe it until next weekend when I haven't had my period!) I'll be due 27th June ❤️

Gaelach · 15/10/2017 17:30

Hi! Bfp yesterday after 14 months trying. EDD roughly 22nd June. This is my first. I don't feel pregnant at all, nothing other than being slightly more gassy. Haven't told anyone except dp and my acupuncturist. DP isn't convinced, he keeps saying 'are you sure?'. I'm tentatively delighted but feel a bit of a fraud because I've no symptoms! Congratulations everyone!

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 15/10/2017 18:06

Dld we have a two weeks booked in Greece at the end of August :/ I've been trying to get my head round it as already paid for flights and the villa deposit.

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 15/10/2017 18:08

Meow, I am on amazon cheapy number 8 test lol so you are not alone.

Finefineanddandy · 15/10/2017 18:09

Congratulations Gaelach! I'm the same with having no symptoms yet but I'm sure they will hit us soon enough.

MrsFletcher · 16/10/2017 07:45

Hello all. Can I join? First baby, 5-6 weeks ish (due date unknown as conceived after coming off birth control with no AF in between). We think mid-June sometime though. Nice to meet everyone. :-)

Polly1308 · 16/10/2017 10:22

Gaelach and fineanddandy - I am completely the same, feel just fine. A wee bit of me would like a couple more symptoms to make it feel more real!

Gaelach · 16/10/2017 11:58

Same Polly! I'm imagining symptoms and telling dp they are pregnancy ones!

CalicoLor · 16/10/2017 13:21

Hi, gosh this is a big thread, I feel intimidated! I just got my BFP, can I join?! xx

thinpigeon · 16/10/2017 13:57

Congratulations @calicolor. There is also a June babies thread over in Ante-natal clubs so might be worth joining that one too!

CalicoLor · 16/10/2017 14:28

Hi thank you, just seen that one too. How confusing!!

Mrshand123 · 16/10/2017 21:56

unsureaboutthis2 · 16/10/2017 23:08

Hi all!!!

June baby here I'm 6+3 today!! Have an appointment with mw in a couple of weeks, she's going to push for me to have the stitch in my womb. Went into early labour in March this year, my boy didn't survive. So trying to keep it quiet until I feel safe!! This pregnancy feels so different tho I actually don't feel pregnant at all, no symptoms nothing!!! Only positive tests, can't wait for first scan to make it all seem more real and I can relax!!

Sorry for everyone's losses Flowers

Here's to all our little June bundles ❤️💙

Finefineanddandy · 17/10/2017 09:16

Sorry for the loss of your little boy Bissett80.I think it sounds like you might have a good argument for an early scan? Wishing you a healthy pregnancy x
