Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

Hey! I had a BFP a few days ago and first time so all a bit confusing and scared

I'm currently on holiday in Singapore and felt awful on the flight and starting crying - oh the hormones!

Any tips of things I need to do avoid etc?

And what's the Facebook group? Would love to join!

MonaTheMoaner · 08/09/2017 13:17

Got a faint BFP yesterday with AF due Monday. Tentatively posting here before confirming it with a FR test tomorrow. Would be due May 21st.

Hiraeth17 · 08/09/2017 14:07

I only had a BFP yesterday... don't want to get ahead of myself (as have had 2 miscarriages), but feeling really positive and hopeful about this one!

Fingers crossed!

Not too many symptoms apart from feeling a bit weird and emotional (a bit spaced out at times!!!). Odd.

MotherofBoy · 08/09/2017 15:33

We have a thread on antenatal board - come join us there! :)

Lorraine1983 · 08/09/2017 16:32

Hello - I've just found out I will be 4 weeks on Monday! My partner of 9 years told me to wait till Monday to do a test, but I couldn't resist! I was walking into town this morning and I was feeling very sluggish and tired and I thought sod it and I bought a cheap £4 test from superdrug. It's lovely to be able to join you all.

Wineandpyjamas · 08/09/2017 21:57

Hi I'm new to Mumsnet! I have a 2 year old dd and am due number 2 around 15th may. Am 4+5 today. It's lovely to chat to ladies doing the same thing at the same time, my OH just doesn't get it bless him. Wink

Joanna0x · 08/09/2017 22:35

Welcome and congrats! Turns out I got my estimates dd wrong it's may 4th not 18th lol. Where is the antenatal board to find the Facebook group?

npn1989 · 09/09/2017 08:01

Hello! We just found out yesterday we're nearly 4 weeks! So excited but very shocked. It was our first month of trying! I think the baby is due 20 May :) I don't really have symptoms yet, just very bloated and boobs are beginning to get a little tender x x

janiesum · 09/09/2017 08:23

I don't know how to share a link but this group has been set up (not by me). I find Facebook easier than this but if anyone has any others please let me know. It's called Due in May 2018 mammas uk

Wineandpyjamas · 09/09/2017 08:37

Yeah I find Facebook easier as well. I was a member of a secret group for when I was ttc. Will anyone be able to see I've joined the group from my Facebook friends if I do? Don't really want it getting out on Facebook yet!

janiesum · 09/09/2017 11:39

As far as I know it's a private group. I hope it doesn't show up anyway!

KittyKK · 09/09/2017 12:03

Hi - just found the Facebook group, but it is in "private" setting, so all of the members are showing. Will wait till I'm a bit further along before I join and pregnancy isn't a secret from friends/family then :)

Wineandpyjamas · 09/09/2017 14:45

Yeah I kinda don't want to risk anybody finding out! It was terrifying enough posting to the ttc group I was a part of (a secret one) and always thinking I'd messed up and accidentally posted to all my Facebook friends!
I have a feeling my family is going to know soon anyway as it's my mums bday party end of September and seeing as I would normally be vaping and drinking they'll know something's up! Anybody got any good ideas of non-alcoholic drinks that look like white wine? Lol 😂

Xjo1992x · 09/09/2017 15:02

@ wineandpyjamas I'm just going to either go with the 'im doing a dry september' or make out that you are on antibiotics for something?

Wineandpyjamas · 09/09/2017 20:57

@Xjo - yeah I thought I'd just say I'm starting 'stoptober' a day or so early. Last time my mum guessed I was pg just because I told her I hadn't had a glass of wine that eve! I swear she thinks I'm an alcoholic ;)

Youzanne · 09/09/2017 21:45

Hi all! Eeee, I've just joined Mums Net and and all going well will have our first baby on 16th May! Same date as you @smu06set ❤️ I only found out yesterday and burst into tears with happiness. Hope all goes well, having some cramping just now but hoping it's just implantation and settling. Thinking of reasons to get out of socialising at the moment too - think I'm going to go with "antibiotics" and then Sober October.
Congratulations everyone, glad to have this group!

Xjo1992x · 09/09/2017 22:28

My problem at the moment is that I can't stop doing tests! I've had 3 BFPs now, but I'm constantly worried that something is going to happen, so therefore keep wanting to test everyday.
Anyone else like this?
It's gonna cost me a fortune haha!

KittyKK · 10/09/2017 07:59

Hi Xjo1992x - yup, I've done 9 tests so far...I like watching it turn positive super quickly now that I'm a bit further along lol.

I started a 3 month "no booze" challenge in July, so I don't have the friends/family issue as they all know about it!! But now it has turned into 9 months longer than I planned whoops :)

Wineandpyjamas · 10/09/2017 09:09

Hi @Youzanne - yeah I think the sober October is the way to go. My mum will know I haven't been ill enough recently to have antibiotics lol! And @Xjo I know where you're coming from. I have a FRER box in my bedside drawer that has about 5 FRERS and two CB digitals in! First digital I did was 1-2 weeks then 2-3 and I'm waiting for the 3+. Maybe then I'll be able to relax but the urge to poas is difficult to get rid of!

JMUK · 10/09/2017 11:51

Hey everyone.
Due May 14th, I will be 5 weeks tomorrow.
my breasts are tender but I have no other symptoms. Eeeek.
Congratulations to you all. Smile

JMUK · 10/09/2017 11:53

@xjo1992x I'm testing alllll the time it's ridiculous lol

JMUK · 10/09/2017 11:56

@wineandpyjamas you could try apple juice and lemonade, fob it off as prosecco lol. X

janiesum · 10/09/2017 12:18

@Wineandpyjamas could you have mocktails? That's what I did last weekend when we were out.
We've got an evening with some neighbours coming up and I'm going to have to go down the antibiotics route I think.

rasberryandlime · 10/09/2017 12:55

Congratulations all :) First time posting on here but lovely to meet you all. First pregnancy, think I'm due somewhere around 4th-6th May 2018. Happened very quickly so my husband and I are over the moon but still in a bit of shock. Great idea to have this thread to share experiences over the coming months.

RhiKHo · 10/09/2017 13:24

Hi there! This is my first post as just found out I'm pregnant this weekend. I'm due on 22nd May so still really early days but so excited I can't think straight! This is my first pregnancy so I'm trying to think positive and keep everything crossed that all remains well. Seeing Dr tomorrow to know what we're supposed to do next! Haven't told family yet as it's so early... any advice on when is best to tell close friends and famb?
