Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

@Xjo1992x @Hill1991 I'm exactly the same, worrying about everything, should be just over 6 weeks now but don't have any symptoms so a bit concerned about that, anyone else the same? Must have done about 10 tests now to keep checking.....

sewsewmum · 11/09/2017 13:14

Thank you @JenCotton and @Joanna0x. Jen, you've got so much on you're plate - it really does put things into some much needed perspective. And Joanna I really appreciate knowing it is all feasible!

Strangely, work is bothering me more than the move. With any luck we'll have the move done before I'm too useless to do much. But the the thought of actually getting a promotion and then telling them a few weeks or days later that I'm pregnant makes me feel like a right cow. I really need to feminist the hell up! X

Hill1991 · 11/09/2017 13:15

@xjo1992x @rasberryandlime I totally get you and google it should be permanently blocked for pregnant woman as my fiancé says as I worked myself up into a right mess yesterday and he had to take my phone off me so I would stop googling everything and I know I have done 4 tests I made my other half drive 30 miles as that was the closest place that was open, have you ladies got your midwife app yet

rasberryandlime · 11/09/2017 13:27

@Hill1991 I'm exactly the same, google is my best friend at the mo and my Hubbie also keeps asking me to stop checking as like you am getting myself very worked up. Really want to relax and enjoy it but finding it hard.

Had a call on Friday with my first midwife appointment, it's in about 2 weeks, will be just after I'm 8 weeks. Have you had yours yet?

@sewsewmum I think there will never be quite the 'right time' for any of us, but we will always find a way to make things work, congratulations x

sewsewmum · 11/09/2017 13:36

Totally agree @rasberryandlime Smile

Hill1991 · 11/09/2017 13:50

Yes I have got my first appointment in a weeks time as I'm on anticoagulants for previous blood clots so I will be about 6 weeks.

Wineandpyjamas · 11/09/2017 18:07

Urgh I feel so bloated. Really want to say it's baby weight but as I'm only 5+1 that's unlikely. Think it's more the two doughnuts and packet of crisps I had earlier to be honest Blush

Hiraeth17 · 11/09/2017 19:30

sewsewmum I'm worried about that too - there's a promotion I have wanted to go for for months, finally been advertised and I've just found out I'm pregnant! Not going to let it stop me though! Why the F should it! :)

rasberryandlime · 11/09/2017 20:41

@Hill1991 how exciting, not long to wait :)

sewsewmum · 11/09/2017 21:39

Hi @Hiraeth17 and congratulations! It's such an old fashioned stigma, isn't it? And I hate the fact it's been playing on my mind. Why the F not indeed?! Grin

Xjo1992x · 11/09/2017 22:51

@wineandpyjamas me too! I feel more 4 months rather than the mere 4+4 that I am! Sooo bloated.

Smurf1612 · 12/09/2017 07:43

Hi I recently found out I was pregnant. Approx 4 weeks going by lmp. I am absolutely petrified, I had a mmc last December and am so frightened it will happen again. My partner isn't at all supportive and has barley spoken to me since finding out I'm pregnant. I have done 2 digital clear blue which say 1-2 weeks and 2 normal but they have had very faint lines. Also not feeling pregnant today, on symptoms I've had is sore nipples and mood Swings.

Xjo1992x · 12/09/2017 07:53

Hi @smurf1612 first congratulations!
Secondly, sorry to hear about the mmc and that your partner isn't supportive. Is it because of the mmc that they are keeping distant? Do you think they are afraid too maybe?
Xx

Smurf1612 · 12/09/2017 07:55

No. He didn't want baby then and clearly doesn't again now. He forgets that it takes 2 to make this happen. I've never felt so alone 😢

Xjo1992x · 12/09/2017 08:19

@smurf1612 exactly, if he was completely against having a baby he would have done everything to prevent it.
I'm sure he will come around to the idea soon.
Xx

Wineandpyjamas · 12/09/2017 09:59

Welcome @Smurf612. Congratulations and sorry you're having some issues with your partner. As @Xjo1992x has said maybe he just needs a bit of time to come round to the idea. Once you pass the 12 week mark and have the scan it may be a bit more real to him. In the meantime you can always come on here with anything you want to talk about!

Xjo1992x · 12/09/2017 10:23

Yep! No need to feel alone! We are all here for you Smile

Hi Everyone, congratulations on your pregnancies! I'm in shock as I'm 5 weeks pregnant and aged 44. Baby not planned (was on a contraceptive pill break for a couple of months, we were using condoms - still not sure what happened?!) We already have 3 kids, one just started high school, youngest turning 6. We are in a tiny house, my husband is turning 50, we've given all the baby kit away, aaarggghhh!!! Very confusing, worrying about having the baby, then not having the baby... Rollercoaster! Any older (okay:old!) mums on here?

AlexsMum89 · 12/09/2017 12:04

Hi @smurf I'm so sorry you're feeling alone. I know we're not 'real' people, but we are all here!
Feel free to chat away to us here. It sounds like your partners not doing brilliantly. Don't forget that you are very strong, and you can do this without him if you have to, but if he loves you then he'd better get the idea of 'foot rub' pretty soon!
Lots of internet hugs being sent your way x

my nausea has set in over the last few days, coupled with a 15month old DD who has given up sleeping through the night..I am thoroughly exhausted. I work full time and today I am grateful that I am at work for a break!

I am 5weeks + 3days. My poor other half is taking the brunt of my tired/sick induced mood swings.

I feel like it's a long way until May!

KittyKK · 12/09/2017 14:05

Congrats to all the new BFPs.

Smurf - stay positive for your little jelly bean! I know the pain and worry of having had a mmc, so understand your worries, but at the moment you are pg which is exciting xx

I've got my first scan on Friday...which will be 6+1 (or maybe 6+4) :)

emilyjayne1990 · 12/09/2017 16:24

Any tips for the sickness ladies? I've not been sick yet, just feeling it. It's been coming on at this time of day for the last few days!
I'm drinking plenty of water and I've just had a peach (I don't feel like anything else!)
I'm 6 weeks today x

InRainbows · 12/09/2017 18:17

Hello fellow mini bumpers, very excited to join the May due date chat. I am 4weeks +3 days so got a little poppy seed nestling.

Symptoms are wierd already, have a small patch of Hives on my arm, gets super itchy at night - told you it was wierd! Reading up on this it seems it can spread so I'm just keeping everything crossed that it won't!

I don't have any sickness symptoms yet thank goodness so no advice for you @emilyjane1990 but I would welcome any advice of hive based symptoms!?!
