Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

Hello! I just found out I'm expecting baby number 3, due 15th May 2018. This wasn't a planned baby, we were supposed to stop at 2, but we're super happy! :)

Hi everyone
I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant with my second. I must be 4w+5d.
Not unplanned, but unexpected as it took me a while to get pregnant last time. Morning sickness kicked in instantly at 4 weeks as it did with my daughter. I was on anti sickness medication for the whole pregnancy last time, never ending morning sickness is hideous.
I've got a busy month, due to complete on a house, going on our first holiday abroad with our toddler, then packing and moving when we get back.
All I want to do is lie on the sofa as I feel dreadful! Not sure how I'm going to cope with work while feeling like this! Just went out with my partners parents who were down visiting for the day. Had to go and throw up while waiting in the cafe. Not going to be able to hide the news if it carries on like this.
Congrats to everyone!

WrittenandGrown · 03/09/2017 13:47

Congratulations everyone. Just wondering if people who are on their second pregnancy got morning sickness on their first? This is my first and I am wondering what my chances are of avoiding it.

KittyKK · 03/09/2017 14:16

Hi - I'm due 7th May with my second little one.. a happy surprise!!

I was really sick last time from 8 weeks to 19 weeks, so I've got a few weeks left hopefully before I'm lying on the bathroom floor :)

AlexsMum89 · 03/09/2017 22:12

Hi @written I had terrible sickness with my first so I think it's the same chance whether first or 2nd unfortunately.

Does anyone know much about the common differences in 2nd pregnancy? I know boobs are less painful 2nd time is there anything else I don't have to go through? FX!

Hey alexsmum found you here!

I think my BFP is finally sinking in! But I realised I need to notify someone you'd think as this is my 2nd pregnancy I'd know what to do but I don't remember. Do I call up the doctors?

I'm so excited!

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 08:19

Hi everyone 😊 congrats to you all!
Can I join please? NHS calculator says I'm due around May 8th! It will be our 2nd.

We have a private early reassurance scan booked on the 26th of this month.
Wishing everyone a happy & healthy 9 months! X

Mamamamamamama · 04/09/2017 10:36

I'm due 8th May

AlexsMum89 · 04/09/2017 11:35

Hi @karpuzkiz
I just called the drs and asked the receptionist what to do - she gave me the details of how to register with the midwives. They rang today and gave me an appt for dead on 8 weeks. Super easy!

Thanks lovely I called today and have an appointment next week so I'll only be about 5/6 weeks but puts my mind at ease a bit I think!

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 11:54

@Mamamamamamama I have a nearly 2 year old (next month) and I'm a little scared even though ours is planned. But our son will be about 2 and half by the time baby is born.
Don't worry too much, it's going to be hard work but you will be absolutely fine!

Mamamamamamama · 04/09/2017 11:59

@emilyjayne1990 oh I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I don't feel like a Mum yet and I'll have two under two Blush .. I'm worried I won't be a good Mum to both at the same time!! Congratulations to you Grin this is so scary .. I still can't get my head around it!!!

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 12:11

@Mamamamamamama I still don't feel like a mum yet either, it's so weird! Even know he shouts mum in my face when he wants something 😂😂
My friends also going to have 2 under 2, she's due in December. She's worrying about it too, but we're women and we're built to multi task! I must admit I do keep having little thoughts to myself though, like when my husbands on nights, how do I put two kids to bed?! Or how do I sort them both out if they both wake up?!

Mamamamamamama · 04/09/2017 16:47

@emilyjayne1990 weird isn't it!! And how are you going to entertain an almost two year old and keep a new born happy .. I'm sure we will get through it lol a lot of people have a second child haha!! Good to know I'm not alone tho Easter Smile

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 17:34

@Mamamamamamama yeah we'll manage! My sons a

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 17:35

Sorry posted too soon!! My sons starting nursery at the end of October for 3 mornings a week, so I'm hoping he'll be in a routine by then.
I have a business to run too. So I'll definitely have absolutely no time for myself at all! X

MilfordFound · 04/09/2017 18:14

I'm having some pretty uncomfortable cramping today. A bit worried it could be a sign something is wrong. Have to wait and see. I hate the 9 months of wait and see!
It's hard to remember how I felt last time. I do remember having cramping and spotting early on and was convinced it was over, but luckily it wasn't.
Hope you guys are all doing well.

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 19:17

@MilfordFound oh no, hope you're okay. I keep getting the odd bit of cramping too. Today I've been exhausted from the minute I got up. And I'm sure my boobs are growing by the day!

MilfordFound · 04/09/2017 19:42

@emilyjayne1990 thank you, hopefully it's normal early pregnancy symptoms. Could've been gas... Blush I feel a bit better now!

Not looking forward to ginormo boobs again. I had a breast reduction 10 years ago, then when I was pregnant with my daughter (she's two and a half) they got huge again. Can't imagine what they would've been like had I not had them reduced. As long as they shrink back down afterwards I'll be happy Grin

MilfordFound · 04/09/2017 19:44

Oh and William and Kate are expecting again. I think she must be due before us, so we won't have to worry about them stealing our baby names Grin

emilyjayne1990 · 04/09/2017 20:38

I'm normally a 32a, went up to a C/D last time I was pregnant but I don't remember them starting to get big this early!

I think Kate and William will be due a month or two before us too! How exciting!

AlexsMum89 · 04/09/2017 23:33

My boobs are huge already, not fitting into my bras and popping tops open! I'm small normally a B
