Babies due May 2018

Hi, I'm new to the pregnancy board. I've just found out that I am pregnant with my 2nd (4 weeks today) and the NHS calculator says all being well I will be due around 12th May.

I couldn't see any threads for May yet - anyone just found out and want to join me?

DS has just turned 7 so I'm a bit rusty on this whole pregnancy thing!

I vary from 2lb - 5lb gain so far. I'm trying not to put anymore on due to being larger anyway. X

Congratulations to everyone with 12 week scams and those who find out the gender! I'm so excited for mine in January!

We're not finding out the sex but I really want to because I'm convinced bump is a girl but my partner really, really wants a surprise.

Congratulations to everyone! Had our staff Christmas party last night and was given a pregnancy survival kit for secret santa with this brilliant pregnancy activity book with funny statements in it to fill out through the trimesters and can be kept as a keep sake for the baby when its older. Anyone who likes this type of thing i would recommend getting one!

Hi all haven't posted in a while just wondering if anyone has had a cervical stitch. Have an appointment on Monday with the consultant, not feeling good about it had scan to check the cervix everything was looking good . Might have to have one as I have had 2 babies really early.

Hi @Fulltimeparent, I haven't had a stitch before, although it is quite likely I will need one, I have been having regular checks and my last one showed that my cervix was getting shorter, I will be checked again on 27th December so will know more then. When is your consultant? Would be nice to know more on it too. Xx

Hi, sorry I was supposed to post on another thread, been to the hospital everything turned out ok won't be needing the stitch but will have monitor the baby movements.

Had my 20 week scan today, it's a boy! He wasn't cooperating at all so have to go back in the next 3 weeks to get the right pictures. All looks fine though which is a relief.

Got appt with consultant on Friday as I'm high risk after last birth where I had pph of 5 pints. I'm going to ask for a c section, fingers crossed they let me!

I have my 20wk scan this Thursday, very excited but nervous! I have one 2yr old boy and have a feeling it's another boy :) xx

Not long now Penny :) I don't know what I expect this one to be - you'd think after 4 I'd know, but nope! I had really strong girl suspicions with DD1, but not with her sister!
Glad you don't need the stitch Fulltimeparent was that a relief? How early were your other 2?
DH managed to feel the baby move last night :)

Not long now at all, @Michellebeau We are definitely going to find out what we're having. I'm convinced it is a boy - we have a name and everything. We'll be delighted either way but will really have to get our thinking caps on if it's a boy.

I can feel a bit of movement but nothing very strong. More like wriggles and pops.

First time posting in here, I'm 20+3 due 5th May.

I had my 20 week scan this morning and femurs are measuring on the short side (although still in normal) I was taken aside and talked to about Down Syndrome and have to go back for a scan in 2 weeks to check again...everything else was perfect. I'm obviously thinking the worst.
Baby is a little boy, my 10 year old boy is over the moon with that, I wouldn't have found out but wanted him to be prepared

Needmorehands- one was 6 weeks early the other was 10 weeks, they were both boys so will be finding the sex next week.

It's so hard to tell from the 12 weeks scan @Michellebeau Although, ours was resting with it's hands behind it's head when we had ours - just like it's father! It's hard not to picture it as the OH's mini me! X

We had a private 17 week scan last week and found out what we are having. Its the first time I felt like I am going to be a parent during this whole pregnancy.

Had an early gender scan this evening we are having a boy due 22nd May!! Crazy how I've thought since I was 4 weeks it was a boy cant believe I was actually right! Very happy even more excited now

We had an early gender scan on Sunday - the gender is in an envelope to open on Xmas day. DH has had to hide it from me because I will peek! Did other people with early gender scans have the 4d ones? I was so impressed with the images this early on.

We just had a 2d scan but i was surprised as could see the spin eye socket the 3d scans scare me a little bit no idea why!

We have gender scratch cards in envelopes for all the family for them to open on Christmas morning we kept it secret we went this evening but as theres so much family both sides we thought its the only fair way they can all find out at the same time. Although we are both going to struggle keeping it a secret for 6 days. I wouldnt be able to do it how you both are I would be searching for the envelope to find out already 😂

@Pennyfitzgerald91 Have you had the scan already then? We figured it'd be a nice Xmas surprise and there has to be some fun in being pregnant over Xmas! I'll probably be up at 4am like I was as a kid

@Fizzysx It's so hard not to go hunting! I very nearly didn't tell the sonographer that we were waiting but DH stepped in! I know what you mean about the 4d scans - I didn't even know ours would be for the gender but then it just popped up on the screen.

Had our 20wk scan today, everything was great. The hospital wouldn't write down the sex though so that was shame. But it's another boy for us and we are delighted xx
