Okay found it. We don't have that in the Caribbean.

Teeeee · 19/10/2017 11:20

Hello all! Lovely to see everyone developing. I haven't been on here for some time.. have been busy throwing up in toilets, side of roads, behind trees, bushes.. you name it, I'm likely to have vomited there. Despite that have a teeny tummy already.. I'm short with tiny torso so dont know where baby will go other than outwards!

...and I got married!!! (Planned before pregnancy not as a result of)

I also had a scan yesterday at 13 weeks. Its a bit of a mover, swimming and wriggling about! (Maybe thats all the sugar I've been consuming!!) lovely to see it.. so up and down emotionally!!

HarryHarry · 19/10/2017 14:21

Congratulations Teeeee! I hope you weren't sick on your wedding day!

Alnilham I've done an order for 4Head through Brit Superstore website as they don't have it where I live either. Not sure if they deliver to the Caribbean but it might be worth looking into.

Four Did you say you had 2 or 3 kids already? You really can't tell from that photo! Hope my body bounces back from pregnancy in the same way!

Bez9087 · 19/10/2017 15:52

Hi ladies. Got my screening results back today
Twin 1 -
1 : 9,400 chance of having downs
1 : 61,000 chance of having Edwards syndrome or pataus.
Twin 2 -
1 : 11,000 chance of having downs
1 : 61,000 chance of having Edwards syndrome or pataus.
Feeling so much more relieved now they are back. And knowing that I’m also immune to slapped cheek (which both my kiddies had when I was 10 weeks)
I can’t believe how it’s starting to pick up pace now and go quite quickly. Can’t wait till we see the little bubbas on the scan again which will hopefully be in two weeks time as been told we get a scan at 16 weeks too 🤞🏻
Sorry to hear a few are suffering from headaches. I suffered with bad migraines the last two months but literally the last week they seem to have settled thankfully. I found those migraine cool strips you stick on your head helped a lot and so soothing. Hope everyone is well.
Congratulations on the marriage

DaisyLand · 19/10/2017 16:14

Bez those are good news ! Hope your next 2 weeks are quick and see your babies soon!

I’m starting to feel some pain on one side of my throat :( I’m not liking it. Last Xmas I had some tonsillitis so I’m hoping they’re not back.

Bez9087 · 19/10/2017 17:07

Thank Your daisyland was really shocked as usually twins can throw the results a bit. So to get that was such a relief.
I feel your pain last few days back of my throat feels scratchy etc I’m sure I’m starting with a cold we are in the worst season for it 😭 have you been offered the flu jab? I’m booked in for Halloween 🙈

DaisyLand · 19/10/2017 17:42

For being twins the results are really good, so I'd be over the moon if i was you! Bet you're

I had my jab last saturday so not sure whether it's a reaction against it or what, doesnt feel achy when i swallow, just general discomfort and if i touch it then it hurts. so not sure what is it, Sad

Bez9087 · 19/10/2017 17:46

Nothing worse when you feel poorly 😞 hope it shifts soon for you.
Specialist Midwife phoned me back I have a scan booked in two weeks today so hoping to find out what we are having as I’ll be 16+5 on the day the largest twin will be 16+5 the other twin was measuring three days behind so either way should hopefully be able to tell fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Debating whether to let my 7 year old come with us as she’s so interested in the babies but we haven’t let her come to any scans since we had the anomaly one in 2011 which picked up a problem. So I think may be nice as they aren’t checking for anything just more having a quick look that would be nice for her to be there and experience it and find out what we are having

FourForYouGlenCoco · 20/10/2017 12:00

Bez those are fab results, what a relief for you! My hospital says no children at scans, so that's the decision made for us, but it sounds like your DD would really love to go. And if you've had a 16w scan before then, you can probably be reasonably confident that all will be ok. I'd be inclined to take her but it's so personal for everyone.
Tee I remember you, hi! You were on here around 7-8 weeks I think? I remember you were having a bad time with sickness and symptoms then, so sorry to hear it's not gotten much better for you Sad will keep everything crossed for you that you're just one of those who feels better a bit later. Did the scan help? - at least you know there's a good reason for feeling terrible! Oh and CONGRATULATIONS on the wedding, how exciting Smile
Daisy scratchy throat here too, it's definitely the season. Bah. Hope you perk up soon.
Harry yeah I have 2 already, this is my 3rd baby, 6th (!) pregnancy. I thought I'd show really fast as was massive to start but it was just bloating - now it's gone down I'm not as big as I was expecting to be. My belly has gone back to nearly normal both times but my hips are so much wider then they used to be, and I have the boobs of a pensioner (honestly!). All worth it of course but I definitely didn't come away unscathed!

All good here, can't wait for half term, we all need some lazy days. DS has been under the weather all week and barely sleeping so I'm exhausted and praying he doesn't pass it to me or DD. Have had a weird stitch-like pain in the right side of my belly all day, too high up to be ligament pain. Wondering if it's things in there starting to be pushed up a bit to make room for growing uterus, but hoping it passes soon as it's very uncomfortable! Also still waiting for movements, 14w on Sunday and I felt DC2 at about 15-16w so it shouldn't be long. Can't wait!

Bez9087 · 20/10/2017 12:19

Thanks @fourforyou I’m really impressed with the results.
We took my daughter with us in 2011 for an anomaly scan on my son when the first problem was detected she was only 18 months so wouldn’t have remembered it but after then we said we wouldn’t take children to scans after that as we naively didn’t realise how drastic it could change.
I think we are going to take her as it isn’t the dating scan or the anomaly scan it is literally a reassurance scan and we can hopefully find out what the twinnies are so will be nice for her to experience that too with us. I’m going to let our three year old stay at grandmas so that it’s just us and her. She’s quite good will sit quietly etc and we have seen children go in recently with their parents so I can’t see why not.
Regards to the aches I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and all the lower part of my bump has been aching etc feels like it’s really pulling and my back and hips are starting to suffer. I’m going to mention it at my 16 week appointment as I know I’m carrying twice the weight of one baby with it being twins but didn’t expect the pains and aches to start already.
I can’t believe how quick it’s going so far seems to be going really quick after we had the dating scan.
This is my bump last week when I was 14 weeks exactly. X

emvy · 20/10/2017 19:15

Glencoco I think mine is also due to bad scan experiences in the past. Our 12 week scan with this bub is our only positive experience and I'm so scared it's all too good to be true. Trying to go with the flow, enjoy excited emotions when they show themselves and accept worried ones when it's their turn. Thankfully no new scary dreams last night but a horrid horrid one the night before! Your bump is so teeny and lovely - I look like i'm about 6 months ahead of you 😂

Sorry some of you are suffering with headaches. I've had a few but thankfully I can mostly ignore them without painkillers.

Congratulations Tee on your wedding! Wonderful news! Hope you're feeling less sick now or at least begin to!

This is my bump from last weekend at 14 weeks. There is only one baby in there! Please excuse the state of my mirror, all those products 🙈

emvy · 20/10/2017 19:16

Bez, also forgot to say that those results sound really good, you must be so pleased! It sounds like the perfect scan to take your dd to Smile they don't allow children at ours either, not that I have any to take but wouldn't be able to even if I did!

AnnaMadden · 20/10/2017 19:46

@emvy gosh if you're 6 months ahead in size I must be 10!!! 😂 this was me at 14 weeks!

Loving all the bump pics!! Mine has really started to show now...will attempt to post a pic later!

Looking for advise...im really starting to have issues sleeping, I just can't get comfortable as I'm usually sleep on my stomach, which is not really an option anymore as it's getting uncomfortable..anyone got any suggestions?

itsgoingtoofast · 21/10/2017 08:51

Popping back on to say hello, disappeared for a long while there! So lovely to see all the bump pics, makes me feel a lot better as was starting to wonder if I had the most ridiculously big bump for my stage. I feel totally massive!

@Bez9087 it will be so lovely to have a scan at 16 weeks. We paid for a private one as I have been quite anxious and needed to see things were ok between the 12 and 20 weeks. I had it last night and it was absolutely amazing. The baby was opening and closing its mouth and trying to suck it's thumb! A real baby just teeny. We were also able to see that it's a little boy Smile it has made it all real!

AnnaMadden · 21/10/2017 09:04

@itsgoingtoofast that's great news. So lovely when you get to see them on the screen...it makes it so real and also puts your mind at rest!

@amysaurus87 I was having the same problem a couple of weeks ago and invested in a maternity pillow. I got the sleep genii but there are loads out there and it helped me immensely. I wouldn't be without it now...I'd definitely give one a try!

lisara79 · 21/10/2017 09:41

@amysaurus87 I know how you feel... I try to prop myself up on pillows but worry myself sick as I wake up on my tummy quite often.

on another note... how so any of you London ladies cope? I'm in London this weekend visiting friends. i lived here for 10 years (through 20s and early 30s) but I got so anxious and tired yesterday. Too busy, too noisy and just overwhelming... at one point I found myself tearfully standing in a corner at Victoria... I used to go through Victoria every day when I lived here and still come through here very few months when I visit. Pregnancy clearly makes me really anxious!

@itsgoingtofast oh my goodness that’s so cute. I can’t wait it’s broken that 8 week wait between the dating and the anomaly scan up having it four weeks exactly between both. I have my midwife appointment in the morning then scan in the afternoon. Congratulations on the little boy are you excited? We are hoping to find out at ours what ours are my daughter wants one of each, I’m not too fussed we have a girl and a boy already another boy and girl would be lovely but then at the same time would be so nice for the twins to be the same gender so they have each other growing up. Not that a boy and a girl wouldn’t have that same bond but just think it’s nicer if they was the same for them. I honestly can’t wait.
I could feel the right one last night so active, usually I can only feel the left and was having major worries about the right except when I got in bed last night. Was really active for a good ten mins.
@amysaurus I find sleeping on my side with my leg moved over so I’m half on my tummy and half not I found that helped. I have a v shaped pillow I got from Argos that also helps sometimes if I’m struggling. X

amysaurus87 · 21/10/2017 10:17

Thanks for all the suggestions...ive heard good things about the sleep genii so will try to pick one up!

@lisara79 I think I'm just used to it now really. I've been wearing my baby on board badge the last few days and so far every time I have got on a train someone has offered me a seat, which makes a change!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 21/10/2017 14:20

itsgoing ah your scan sounds fab! It's so amazing how quickly they change and grow, we had a couple of early scans where it looked like a prawn and then at the 12w scan it was properly baby shaped!
amy I'm a tummy sleeper. Slept on my front til 27w with my first! I do the same as bez now, on my front but with one leg bent up to take the pressure off my tummy a bit. Deffo try the pillow, I had an ikea v-pillow in both previous pregnancies and it was a lifesaver! Also great for bf and as a baby-propping-up device when they're born.
lisa god that sounds stressful! Me, DD and MIL are going to London on Dec when I'll be 20+ weeks. I also used to live in London and LOVE it there, but slightly nervous that I'll feel the same as you! Also worrying a bit about spd...will cross that bridge when I come to it I guess.

Slightly jealous of everyone's gender scans! Still determined to have a surprise but it feels like soooo long to wait to find out!

Loosemoose28 · 21/10/2017 16:15

Im waiting until birth to find out gender. Head tells me a girl and I have had a 50/50 response from a skull theory group on facebook. So no idea lol

Loosemoose28 · 21/10/2017 16:18

Girl or boy?

Pregnancies due April 2018 *Edited by MNHQ*
ScarletSienna · 21/10/2017 19:04

Loose-top photo looks like a girl and bottom looks like a boy. Not useful I know! Can definitely see why the 50/50 split.

Loosemoose28 · 21/10/2017 22:56

Defo same baby hahaha. I think that too in those photos. Was not easy to get scan photos baby kept wanting face the camera not lie on his/ her back nicely. Then got hand infront of NT area too. Grin definately my child lol
