Congrats @MSH2010 that's great news! Keep us posted on how it's all going - guessing your life is mostly feeding and nappy changing right now!!

Bobbiepin · 21/09/2017 06:35

@MSH that's wonderful news, so so happy for you!

Kit17 · 21/09/2017 07:49

Is anybody else on here newly pregnant for the first time? I'm only 5 weeks but already ravenous and weeing constantly!

Julesbegone · 21/09/2017 17:27

I feel a bit ridiculous asking this ladies but where can I get long, button front nighties from? I haven't properly introduced myself but have posted before: 33 weeks today, due Nov 9th and having a nightmare putting my hospital bag together!

I'm loving the Primark cotton nighties in huge sizes (as they don't do maternity) at the moment but they'll be no good for nursing as they have a high neck. What is everyone else doing for post birth in the hospital/ days following the birth? Thanks in advance!

scoutcat · 21/09/2017 18:49

@Kit17 Me! I'm 4 +5. Weeing all the time, sore boobs and ravenous too!

lydiangel83 · 21/09/2017 18:53

Hi @Julesbegone I was wondering the same thing, not got any nighties packed as not sure where to get those button through ones from!!

Julesbegone · 21/09/2017 18:59

Exactly @lydiangel83! It's one of the final things to go into the bag and I thought it would be so easy to find some - how wrong I was!

TheLionQueen1 · 21/09/2017 20:18

I've packed loads of strappy tops, and bought a few baggy tshirts!

ew1990 · 21/09/2017 20:42

I've just gone with baggy tshirts, and tight pyjama bottoms and big knickers!! I really need to pack my hospital bag,

I've got antenatal classes this weekend

TheLionQueen1 · 21/09/2017 21:16

Yes I've got some very attractive big pants too @ew1990 ...have you seen the size of the maternity pads for afterwards?! Big pants definitely a must!! Also a few people have recommended disposable maternity pants to me, they sell them cheap in boots!

I have 2 weeks and 5 days left, lots of ladies from my antenatal have already had baby. Praying mine makes an early arrival but unlikely! My milk is coming in now which is very odd!

ew1990 · 21/09/2017 21:31

@TheLionQueen1 the pads are massive!! I've been having the yellow stuff (colostrum I think is called) for about 5 weeks now, my midwife said I can try expressing and freezing it if I like Confused

TheLionQueen1 · 21/09/2017 21:44

Have you got enough to express @ew1990 ? Normally I only get it after a bath but today it just came on its own, it's not huge amounts though? I heard it was a sign you may have baby a bit earlier as body is ready...that may be utter rubbish obviously but I'm choosing to believe it as I'm fed up and want him now Grin

ew1990 · 21/09/2017 21:53

I don't think I have enough, I only ever used to get it at night if I was lay on my side and my boob was being squashed, but this last week my boobs have been hurting and aching and if I squeeze them it comes out, they still haven't grown from pre pregnancy though! Still little b cups 😂😂

mrsjkerry · 21/09/2017 21:55

I haven’t got anything in my boobs yet!!!!

OP posts:
ew1990 · 21/09/2017 21:57

This was from the other night, went through onto my sleeve as well (was lay on my side)

TheLionQueen1 · 21/09/2017 22:05

That's way more than me!! @mrsjkerry mine hasn't come in until 37 weeks and apparently that's relatively early, for a lot of people it doesn't come in until after baby is born!

ew1990 · 21/09/2017 22:07

You get colostrum and then I think milk comes in about 3 days after birth,

I'm worrying now - I've still got 7 week 2 days left

mrsjkerry · 21/09/2017 22:16

Yes because someone was telling me about colostrum freezing but when I squeezed nothing at all comes out 😏 I am 33 weeks

Bobbiepin · 21/09/2017 22:21

@jules i got a button up one in primark but it was a bigger shop so you might just need to have a hunt around. I think asda have got some too, supermarkets tend to be good at that stuff.

@ew the breastfeeding class I went to gave us little syringes for collecting colostrum. I've had nothing yet but didn't feel like I could say no!

TheLionQueen1 · 21/09/2017 22:26

@ew1990 nothing to worry about if your milk comes in early! It can come in at any time I think!

lydiangel83 · 22/09/2017 02:19

I'm nearly 35 wks and nothing at all come out yet!

mrsjkerry · 22/09/2017 16:48

Is anyone having or has anyone had a baby shower ?

OP posts:
Bobbiepin · 22/09/2017 17:30

@mrsjkerry I think my colleagues are planning something shower like for me, but not for a week or two yet.

I've been feeling crap all day, sore throat, morning sickness and stinking cold. Doctors also rang to tell me I'm anaemic (great timing) but its DH's birthday and we're going to his parents for dinner. All I want to do is curl up in bed 😢

lydiangel83 · 22/09/2017 19:10

Got this funny shadow around belly button and wondering if normal?

I found out today by tidying up my maternity folder that my blood test results from early August showed low iron count. No one bothered to tell me so going to ring midwife about it - not happy!

No not seen that Lydia, maybe speak to MW?

I've got my baby shower next weekend, I'll be 39 weeks so hoping I've already had him!!
