Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Is anyone else under a consultant?

TheLionQueen1 · 30/05/2017 18:59

Thought I'd lost you all then! Today the baby has been kicking and either head butting or punching me (can't work out which) at the same time, it's a very odd feeling!! I love knowing he's there but the feeling itself is very odd, not sure I like that Grin

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 30/05/2017 21:18

Girls I don't know what to do!
I've got really bad morning sickness I'm not being sick I wish I could be though! I feel sick all day everyday, can't concentrate and just want to sleep! Went back to work and found it so hard to concentrate today after hols :(

MSH2010 · 30/05/2017 21:36

Wow that other thread hit 1,000 posts.... we are a chatty bunch!!

I'm 21+3 now :D

ew1990 · 30/05/2017 21:53

@MSH2010 doesn't time fly, I'm 16+3 now and can't believe how fast it's going x

ew1990 · 30/05/2017 21:54

@MSH2010 do you know what your having yet or are you not finding out? I can't remember if you've already told us, sorry xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 30/05/2017 22:03

It's going to quick, I can't believe how long it's been since we found out!!

MSH we are over half way there, that's scary!!

MSH2010 · 30/05/2017 22:12

I do know what I'm having but my lips are sealed I'm afraid. Only found out because it's twins. Only me and the hubby know. My mum is desperate to know and work colleague have tried to get me to slip up. But so far so good

ew1990 · 30/05/2017 22:14

Aww how sweet, I always thought I wouldn't like to know but now I'm actually pregnant I want to know, OH does too xx

TheLionQueen1 · 30/05/2017 22:26

I managed to keep quiet about it for a grand total of 45 mins 😂 good on you MSH!

Have you had your 20 wk scan date Ew or are you going to find out early? We had an early private scan as I'm far too impatient!

ew1990 · 30/05/2017 22:31

I got my scan date through straight after my 12 week one it's on the 30th June, it still seems ages away I wish I hadn't had the letter so early, I've said to my OH about having an early one but he told me to stop being impatient lol I know he's right xx

ew1990 · 30/05/2017 23:13

And I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow with midwife to hear the heartbeat, why do I get so nervous the night before appointments xx

MSH2010 · 31/05/2017 00:48

I wouldn't have found out if it was just one. But picking twin names is a nightmare!
I've had ALL my scan dates through up til birth now Shock scary!!

TheLionQueen1 · 31/05/2017 06:23

Good luck today Ew! They wouldn't listen to babies heartbeat at my 16 week app, really hope you get to hear it!

How many do you have MSH? I'm done with scans now I've had my 20 week and low risk, may have to pay for some private ones!

MSH2010 · 31/05/2017 06:38

Because I'm having twins I have one at 26, 30 and 34 weeks I think it works out

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 31/05/2017 07:41

I'm really poorly this morning with morning sickness would it be bad of me to take the day off work? I hate taking days off I feel so guilty

lydiangel83 · 31/05/2017 08:03

@MSH2010 I agree with you if I was having twins I would find out sex - so exciting! We want a surprise and it's hard enough to find names we both like - no common ground on boys names at all so far!!

I feel dreadful - thought I was due to start some personal training with a friend (she specialises in Ante natal) and I got the day wrong so she was up at 5am this morning for no reason whilst I was in bed!

This not sleeping thing is really affecting me and I know it is going to get worse!!

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 09:07

@Victoriaaaaaaaa IME it's been better to go in and be sent home if you're really suffering, than to not go in at all. The only times I haven't gone in is when I have food poisoning/stomach bugs with (TMI) severe vomiting as diarrhoea. People are kind but I think they lack sympathy when it comes to pregnancy as millions of women have been through it. You'll know better than us if your employers will be forgiving or not! Hope you're feeling okay, some people say to try and eat a dry cracker or two before you've gotten out of bed. I relied on gingerbread myself! Hope you find something that works for you soon! It really sucks!

@MSH2010 I definitely would have found out the sex for twins purely for name picking! We've just settled on a girl's first and middle but struggling with a boy's. Can't imagine the pressure of having to think of 2 of each just in case!

@lydiangel83 oh no! I became a hermit in first tri just so I didn't keep letting people down when I forgot or didn't feel up to plans we had made Blush barely anyone saw me! Now that I'm feeling pretty okay I find it easier to do things but I admire you for doing personal training! I wanted to do antenatal aquarobics but I've gotten into a habit of being lazy and it suits me nicely Blush and it saves me having to buy a new swim suit to accommodate the big ol' bump

May I join? I'm 7 weeks according to date of my last AF and the waves of nausea are killing me. They're lasting all day. Is there anything anyone can recommend to help? Also, how long does it usually last? I know everyone's different so not expecting a definitive answer. Fortunately I'm not actually being sick, just get the horrible feeling. It's going to be very difficult at work, being a teacher means I can't escape the classroom if I need to. Sad

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 31/05/2017 10:19

@QuestionARhino I went in yesterday and boss said I looked dreadful! I've only been off sick max a week in 5 years! I'm off today couldn't get the energy to do anything. I can only eat one cracker and I'm sick! Think I'm gonna have to get some ginger biscuits

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 10:35

Hi @MrsHandles congratulations! I've found it really does vary person to person but my experience was nausea and vomiting from week 7 til 15, then it petered off. Some people found dry crackers and ginger ale helpful but not for me! I had some ginger biscuits but the best for me were preggie pop drops. Sour things helped me and they're sour boiled sweets. A friend found never getting hungry helped and she preferred stodgy food but that didn't work for me and I usually threw it up! Some say try to eat a cracker before you get out of bed if your nausea's in the morning. I usually got it in the afternoon or evening. Hope you feel better soon and find something that helps!

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I'm so glad you have understanding employers. I'm surrounded by ex midwives and nurses and health visitors and they're a bit no nonsense 😩 but as you're feeling anxious as well I hope they will be very supportive of your needs!!

lydiangel83 · 31/05/2017 11:11

@MrsHandles welcome and good luck that sounds tough. I was nauseous not sure exactly when as dates changed but lots of plain carbs (i.e. Never being hungry) helped me and also weirdly fizzy water. Worth a try?! Ginger biscuits etc too

DarcyParty · 31/05/2017 12:27

Hi ladies, I haven't posted since the first thread (couldn't keep up with you all haha!) so I just thought I'd show I'm still alive.

17 weeks now, had a private gender scan (GIRL!) and heard the heartbeat for the first time via the midwife's doppler which was lovely.

Still full of morning sickness, but I'm hoping it'll ease off soon! Hang in there, mrshandles!

How are you all? Anyone have a proper bump yet?

@DarcyParty People are shocked when they see me coz they are so used to seeing me with no belly now I've got this bump, I did post a pic of it in the last thread xx

mrsjkerry · 31/05/2017 14:03

When did everybody start feeling movement? I'm 16+6 now and haven't felt anything at all 😞

@MrsHandles i am also a teacher. Keep the windows open. Take lots of deep breaths. Carry around a box of crackers with you. Nibble on them in between classes.

@DarcyParty congratulations! My scan is on Saturday. Cannot wait!
