Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Had the scan today! It's a lovely little girl! I am now sooooo nervous for the 20 week anomaly scan. How does anyone ever wait that long 😩

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 03/06/2017 16:33

@mrsjkerry awww congrats!! Did you want a girl?

TheLionQueen1 · 03/06/2017 16:36

Yay congrats MrsJ! The 20 week scan is amazing, when is yours?

mrsjkerry · 03/06/2017 16:45

I SOOO wanted a girl. I'm thrilled. It's in three weeks the 20 week scan. I'm so worried they'll find a big problem with little baby 😢

88claire · 03/06/2017 17:10

Ooh just found the new thread. Whoops!

19+1 today and my 20 week scan is a week on Monday. Other half has been told by work he might not be able to come! Should I change the appointment and make it even later or man up and go alone?!

TheLionQueen1 · 03/06/2017 17:24

Won't you struggle to change an NHS scan 88claire? That's awful they might not let him go Sad

Is there anyone else you can take? It's a long one the 20 week scan and as it's the anomaly scan (I really don't mean to sound negative/awful) might it be better to have someone there just in case?

mrsjkerry · 03/06/2017 17:44

You can rearrange your scans of course. What if you yourself couldn't make it? I've rearranged a few of mine and I would definitely reschedule so my husband could come. It is a longer one and I'd want support.

TheLionQueen1 · 03/06/2017 18:13

I know you can change them but with a week left often it is difficult to change them as they will change it to later date and sound like Claire is already having it at 21 weeks that's all I was suggesting sorry not that you couldn't change them.

88claire · 03/06/2017 19:18

Thanks for the replies, I know I can change it (I work at the same hospital) it's just they're very busy and it won't be for another couple of weeks.

My partner also works for the NHS and is under a tonne of pressure. It's just how it is unfortunately 😢

I'm trying to weigh up whether having a 20 week scan at 23 weeks with partner or just having it alone at 21 weeks is better.

Just feeling very indecisive. Must be the hormones 😂

QuestionARhino · 03/06/2017 19:18

Aw congratulations @mrsjkerry how lovely!

I know what you mean @TheLionQueen1 someone asked me if I was sure there's 1 in there Hmm the worst though was someone at work insisting I was showing at 7 weeks Angry

@88claire you could pay privately...it's a lot of money (think in the region of £200...). That's what I might do if my husband couldn't make it... I must've gotten lucky when I rearranged my 12 week - they brought it forwards!!!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 03/06/2017 20:28

Might be a tmi question this!

Does anyone have occasionally yellow discharge? Mines normally milky white etc and like everybody I'm always checking for blood when I wipe. Occasionally it's a little yellow because I'm a bit constipated I seem to (this might be waaaaay too much info) trump in the night and have some stay in my bum. Then when wiping it gets mixed in first thing in the morning.

ew1990 · 03/06/2017 22:55

Are any of you ladies planning to breastfeed? This may seem a stupid question but if you are are you still buying bottles and steriliser?

QuestionARhino · 03/06/2017 23:33

@ew1990 hiya definitely hoping to breastfeed, but also have some bottles and was gifted a steriliser because I hope to express as my other half would love to get to do some of the feeds Smile

OP posts:
mrsjkerry · 04/06/2017 00:07

You can breastfeed and use formula. It breastfeed and express milk into a bottle. That's what I'm hoping to do!

ew1990 · 04/06/2017 00:11

Thanks ladies, it's all dead confusing, I'm definitely expressing other half wants to (hasn't got a choice) do night feeds 😂 I've bought an electric breast pump so god knows why I had to ask about bottles and steriliser duhh, baby brains deffo setting in xx

ew1990 · 04/06/2017 00:12

Help with the night feeds I should have said xx

QuestionARhino · 04/06/2017 00:21

@ew1990 haha tell me about it (baby brain that is) I was about to ask if anyone had experience of electric and manual breast pumps and what their preferences were buuuuut just remembered we're on a first pregnancy thread Blush

MrsB12345 · 04/06/2017 08:29

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I get that too. It's normal. Discharge like that is part of being pregnant and funnily the part no one mentions when they were pregnant.

Pregnancy really can be grim at times x

ew1990 · 04/06/2017 08:48

Girls I've got terrible constipation, I'm sat on the toilet at work in agony. Someone's gunna come looking for me soon I've been gone that long 😂

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 04/06/2017 10:32

Anyone got any ideas to help me stop washing my hands? Ever since I've found out I was pregnant I've been really careful about washing my hands but now it's gotten ridiculous and I can't stop washing them! They are all red and chapped now :(

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 04/06/2017 10:33

@ew1990 I feel for you so much!!

Icantthinkofastupidname · 04/06/2017 10:38

@Victoriaaaaaaaa, can you try maybe getting some aloe Vera antibac gel or something else that might be cleansing yet soothing and try just using that when you feel the urge to wash? Make sure you have some hand cream in your bag and next to the soap at home and try to remember to put a little cream on each time you wash to keep them moisturised

Jessiecat27 · 04/06/2017 11:39

Victoriaaaaaaaa I wash my hands a ridiculous amount aswell because of work, aveeno moisturiser really helps! We have a communal one in work and I have one at home too!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 04/06/2017 12:27

I'm such an idiot lol - just antibacced the kitchen and degreased the hob and forgot to wear gloves!! :(
