Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

Anyone else got terrible heartburn???

ew1990 · 21/07/2017 15:08

@lydiangel83 miles better today, had a chat with OH about my worries and he was great, said not to worry about me only getting SMP and me not earning as much as I would do we are a family and will do it together so that's a weight lifted. And I've just sorted out my maternity at work, 16th October I finish.

@mrsjkerry I'm not thank god, I've only had heartburn once in my life and it was horrible so really feel for you

ew1990 · 21/07/2017 15:10

@lydiangel83 hope you feel better soon too

mrsjkerry · 21/07/2017 15:18

@ew1990 it's terrible isn't it finding the balance between what you want to do (spend as much time as possible with baby) and what you can afford to do 😩

I've had heartburn all day everyday for a few days now. Think it's the constant retching and coughing in the morning. 16 weeks to go 😄

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 21/07/2017 15:32

Has anyone noticed flashing lights occasionally in front of eyes? It's like when migraines start but instead of a migraine it's dizziness which comes 🙈

lydiangel83 · 21/07/2017 16:12

Thanks @ew1990 glad you're better. @mrsjkerry feel for you that sounds horrible :(

88claire · 21/07/2017 17:04

I've got awful acid reflux. Horrid!! Even Gaviscon doesn't seem to touch it.

ScotsLamb · 21/07/2017 17:32

Victoriaaa I get that if I stand up too quickly or spend a lot of time standing. It's linked to my blood pressure being lower than it usually is. I fainted in paris due to heat, standing in a queue and low blood pressure. Now I just make sure I sit down regularly when feeling dodgy and if I stand up too quickly I stand still until it passes. My midwife want bothered by it.

ew1990 · 21/07/2017 19:57

@mrsjkerry Im taking 9 months, my boss said to say 9 months coz I can always go back earlier if wanted but I can't stay on for longer if you know what I mean xx

Squigglefish · 21/07/2017 23:14

I had my 25 week check yesterday, I'm back to the midwife in 3 weeks for an anti D injection...in my bum! Anyone else Rh negative blood type?

I've got horrid heartburn too! It's not everyday but when it comes it's there all day.

ew1990 · 21/07/2017 23:22

@Squigglefish I am, I'm dreading the anti d I hate needles. (God knows how I take people's blood at work) I don't want it in my bum!

Does anyone know when we have to have whooping cough vaccine

mrsjkerry · 22/07/2017 00:17

I had 24 week today. I was under the impression they gave whooping cough then. And also give me MATB1. They did neither. When do these things happen?!?

What is anti d?

Squigglefish · 22/07/2017 01:04

Really? I was given my MATB1 yesterday, I'd chase them up for that.
I was just told to book in at the GP for the whooping cough vaccine once I'd decided to have it.

Anti D is for anyone with rhesus negative blood. If my first baby is rhesus positive and her blood mixes with mine then it causes a sensitiviy. First baby is ok but if I had a second pregnancy and that baby was positive Id be more prone to miscarriages because my immune system would attack it. That's how I understood it anyway,I could be wrong. I'm not sure why it has to go in your bum though Confused

lydiangel83 · 22/07/2017 07:59

@Squigglefish @mrsjkerry @ew1990 I'm rhesus negative and think I will have it at my next appt (28 wks) in three wks time. I'm under midwife led care rather than consultant, not sure if that makes a difference. I can't really explain why you need it other than if you're a certain blood type but the explanation give sounds correct!

No one said anything about it being in your bum tho?! I also hate injections!!

They told me last wk at my 25 wk check up that I just need to book in with nurse for whooping cough at my convenience.

Got my Mat1B a few wks ago, was chasing it tho as it meant I could get a letter from train company which gets me a seat on the train to work every day!

mrsjkerry · 22/07/2017 09:29

Who do I chase?? How do I get it!? And how do I find out my blood type? Is this not something the midwife would've told me if I needed it ...

lydiangel83 · 22/07/2017 09:50

For Mat1B chase the midwife. I assume you had bloods at your booking in or first scan? They would then tell you at your midwife appt that you need the rhesus negative thing based on your blood test results (assume u have had some sort of confirmation re blood results?!)

lydiangel83 · 22/07/2017 09:51

Oh sorry just read you have Mat1B. I'd chase midwife re blood results x

mrsjkerry · 22/07/2017 10:17

I'll have to phone the hospital on Monday and ask them about the MATB1. It's all so confusing and I feel totally left to get on with stuff by the medical professionals.

I've had blood tests but they've never said anything about them. When I rang and asked they just said "all normal".

NC1990 · 22/07/2017 10:25

I haven't got my MAT B1 yet (should get next week) but the midwife wrote my blood type in my NHS book thingy at my 16-week appointment. That's crap they've just left you to it, I would chase them up.

88claire · 22/07/2017 11:44

Mrsjkerry

I forgot to ask about the MatB1 form at my 20 week appointment so I called them and they said just pop in and they'll do one for me there and then. It's not a big deal it takes them two minutes if that to fill it out.

I was stressing over it but it was fine. I do feel like they should just give them out as matter of course or at least ask if you need one at the 20 week appointment!

My work need it before 24 weeks to process mat pay so it was quite crucial I got it before another appointment.

TheLionQueen1 · 22/07/2017 11:50

MrsJkerry I got my MatB1 form at 24 weeks but my maternity book says it's at the 24 or 28 week appointment so it's possibly they don't issue them in your area yet. I would just speak to MW at the next appointment, you legally don't need to give it to your employer before 21 days before you want your SMP to start!

Also with bloody tests, they won't call you unless there is an issue. After my bloods they didn't say anything until next appointment when she said no issues.

A lot of info like that and what happens when I found in my maternity book issues at Booking In App (mine is yellow but know they are all different!) May not be in yours but worth checking!

TheLionQueen1 · 22/07/2017 11:51

ew1990 · 22/07/2017 14:04

I rang my ante natal clinic and just said my work are asking for it and I nipped it while they did my matb1 form.

It doesn't help that my midwife left a few week ago and I have no idea who my new one is till my appointment in 2 week. I have no number for a midwife to ring invade of any worries

ew1990 · 22/07/2017 14:04

*incase

TheLionQueen1 · 22/07/2017 14:36

Ew mine left as well so was told I would have a new one and ended up with a locum at my last appointment and my appointment after next is at the birthing centre so at this rate I won't actually have a MW until our last few appointments!

Fortunately there is a team in our area and my MW book has the team emergency mobile, office and clinic number on so we are fine in an emergency.
