Oops time for a new thread. Hope you all find it okay Grin

@lydiangel83 I'm nearly 26 weeks, it was probably 20ish weeks when it improved because I remember I first felt baby move at 18 weeks and I was sleeping in the spare room because I was so fidgety and frustrated that night so it was after 18 weeks!

@DarcyParty congratulations! How's exciting

@mrsjkerry I was 18 weeks! They say 16-24 for movement I think so don't worry it'll happen soon!

@mrsjkerry I'm a primary teacher, so no in between classes for me Sad I'll definitely keep some crackers in my cupboard and nibble stuff them in my mouth during the day

lydiangel83 · 31/05/2017 14:26

@mrsjkerry I haven't felt anything yet and am 18 wks today!

ew1990 · 31/05/2017 15:12

I've felt tiny flutters but only a couple of times, midwife found heartbeat straight away was so strong I could've cried xxx

TheLionQueen1 · 31/05/2017 17:00

I felt flutters week 18-19 then end of week 19 I started getting kicks, now I'm 21+2 and he is constantly kicking strong enough for DH to feel!

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 17:49

I'm 26 weeks tomorrow I think 🤔 and the other day I was kept from a nap because I was getting kicked on one side and punched on the other side of my bump 😂 won't be long til the kicks keep you from doing super important things like sleeping

Squigglefish · 31/05/2017 18:03

Phew I found you!

@ew1990 congratulations to you! I'm a bit behind.

@MrsJKerry I think I felt something on Sunday. I was lying on the sofa and got a warm tickly flutter. It was really strange and me me think I could have been movement. I'm 18 weeks today. I've felt absolutely nothing since though.

TheLionQueen1 · 31/05/2017 18:03

Yeh I put on here about that same thing the other day, a kick and punch at the same time. Not the most comfortable!!

lydiangel83 · 31/05/2017 18:53

I'm sleeping so badly already whilst not feeling any kicks / punches/ flutters that I can't imagine how it will feel when baby gets bigger!

ew1990 · 31/05/2017 19:42

@Squigglefish thank you!

I know I was so glad I found the new thread I was like to myself I need these girls they understand me and keep me sane haha xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 31/05/2017 20:30

Went to stay at my mums today while I was off work because hubby was doing some diy. Just come home and he's glossed everywhere! Had all the windows open and finished at 2pm but I've read online that gloss is a big Nono in pregnancy as the one we've got it solvent based! Now I'm debating going back to my mums to stay the night!

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 21:04

@Victoriaaaaaaaa up to you my lovely, depends how well ventilated it'll be and if it's the whole house / if you'll be breathing in while you sleep etc. Risks are highly unlikely but wonder if it may make you feel unwell what with nausea already on your plate?

@QuestionARhino it was the hallway he did and had every door and window open in the house. I can really smell it but he said he can't smell it at all so I don't know if it's because I've got heightened smell at the moment and it's not doing particularly well with my sickness at the moment lol

TheLionQueen1 · 31/05/2017 21:15

Personally I would stay at home, if he's only done your hallway and finished at 2 with all the windows open, can't see any risk there? But then I'm sat here with a glass of wine 😂

Saying that if you're feeling rough anyway smell probably won't help!

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 21:18

I'd say you're fine as far as risks to the baby is concerned!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 31/05/2017 21:21

@TheLionQueen1
@QuestionARhino

I wasn't sure if the fumes after could still potentially hurt the baby? I know it says for partner or someone else to do painting but they'd still have to live in it after. This gloss was solvent based and not water

TheLionQueen1 · 31/05/2017 21:46

I'm no expert but the risk would be minimal surely? I work with cleaning products including bleach every day, it's not ideal but you just need to be sensible with it. The amount of product he must have used for just one corridor surely isn't going to do anything? If you're that concerned then go to your mums but I personally think it's slightly over worrying!

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 21:49

It's minimal, close the bedroom door overnight and I think you'll be just fine. It's probably dry by now too? I think it's fine once dry it just smells.

Anyone using anything for stretch marks? Not convinced it will definitely work but keeping bump moisturised has stopped my skin from itching. It was unbearable one day and I kept up with moisturising after that and it hasn't itched once since thank god! Got so many lovely products by my favourite us the palmers tummy butter. Smells so good! And the dogs seem to love the smell of it too haha

OP posts:
ew1990 · 31/05/2017 21:59

@QuestionARhino I woke myself up one night itching my stomach in my sleep, I got e45 itch relief and coconut oil, I'm not to mithered about stretch marks it's just the itching when it's stretching is awful xx

Squigglefish · 31/05/2017 22:06

@ew1990 I was the same. I got into a panic when realised the last thread was full haha!

@QuestionARhino I've been using bio oil but it seemed to clog my pores so have been using it sparingly every other day. Might try the tummy butter :)

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 22:22

@ew1990 ugh right?? I only had it that one time thankfully but it reduced me to tears

@Squigglefish it's really lovely Smile a lot of people have gifted me little "mum to be" sets that inevitably have a bump butter of sorts in but this one I love. I've got some oils as well to go on after a shower but one lost its scent from being in direct sunlight (I think) and smells weird now. I got an nspa set that came with a nipple balm that's like lanisoh in that you don't have to wash it off before BFing so that's that already bought IMO hahahaGrin

QuestionARhino · 31/05/2017 22:24

Also @ew1990 I loved listening to the heartbeat and the MW let me record it when my OH missed an appointment so if you find it as soothing as I do then whip your phone out next time Grin it's so nice to play back

OP posts:
ew1990 · 31/05/2017 22:25

@QuestionARhino I did record it as my oh couldn't be there he was working away, it's an amazing sound xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 31/05/2017 22:32

Thanks girls :) I know I'm over reacting as normal!

I've stayed in the bedroom it's like a gale blowing through with the windows open so it'll be just fine :)

Jessiecat27 · 01/06/2017 07:54

Has anyone else felt guilty about staying off work? I'm not sleeping because of my back and hips, even with a wedge. I'm currently waiting for my support belt so hopefully that'll help for in the day. I feel like if I don't go in they'll all hate me and won't understand but if I do go in, I'm in pain all day and can't get anything done. Is it just me?!
