I'm officially tired, fat and ready to pop. Anyone else want to check in together for the final count down? Shock

Hi Dirty Dancing,
I'm 40+4 and am definitely big on waddle and small on patience! I'm counting down but hopefully not to an induction.

JJ1612 · 13/04/2017 21:16

I'm 37+5 and been told baby can come anytime now. I'm so uncomfortable, heartburn is a nightmare, need to pee every 5 mins, every little niggle I'm praying this is it! But it never amounts to anything. Everyone including MW have said she'll come early but I bet she comes late. Just fed up of being pregnant now

DirtyDancing · 13/04/2017 21:22

TopKitty.. you are nearly there! Fingers crossed for you not to have an induction. I had one with my first (this is my 2nd) and I want to avoid it. Tried everything last time... curry, acupuncture, the core of a blummin pineapple.. and 2 weeks OD I was still induced.

JJ why are they predicting and early arrival? My LO feels v low and I went to the loo 5 times in the night last night!! Can not stop peeing. I got bad water retention with my first and am desperate to avoid it this time, so am drinking lots of water, but even so!

40 weeks here literally can hardly walk anymore! But head engaged hoping for her to come soon!

GastonsWife · 14/04/2017 09:22

38 + 3. Couldn't even do my dressing gown up this morning so all modesty has gone out the window 😭. Midwife said baby was engaged over a week ago but not even had a niggle 😐

ThereAreNoWords · 14/04/2017 09:30

38+6 here. DD was 14 days over and induction and I really really don't want to be induced again. All the muscles in my hips and thighs ache so much. Come on baby!

Come on these babies.. we want to meet you (and see our feet again!)

Baby feels really low and is 3/5 engaged, but apparently that doesn't mean much the midwife said. My tummy has definitely dropped though it feels like it's on my thighs now! First was so O/D I think the best I can hope for is my due date.

How's everyone sleeping?

38+6, knackered and being slowly tortured to death with SPD. My 2 year-old is having a nap and that's exactly what I should be doing instead of being on mumsnet! This baby is showing no signs of coming any time soon. Not even 1/5 engaged!
I'm so very, very tired of being pregnant...

beepbeeprichie · 14/04/2017 14:38
  1. So huge. Not helped by eating a full size Easter egg and cake today. Baby not in any way engaged and rolling around in there making mayhem. I feel like John Hurt in Alien.
BakerBear · 14/04/2017 14:42

37+4 here. Booked in for a section at 39+2 so 12 days left.

Baby not engaged in any way. SPD crippling me, glugging gaviscon around 8 times a day - the heartburn is dreadful.

HLBug · 14/04/2017 14:50

38+6 for me today. Section booked for Tuesday! Just need to hang on for 4 more days... baby is 3/5ths engaged and I keep getting niggles. Bank holiday weekend so really really hoping I don't go early, although knowing my luck... Was OD was DS and induced at 42 weeks. No idea how I kept going in hindsight!

DirtyDancing · 14/04/2017 14:52

Lots of Gaviscon here too! I actually swig it straight from the bottle Grin

Sleep is difficult with this lay on your left thing. I am a back sleeper and my hip is killing me. Feel for those of you with SPD, sounds horrific xx

Georgejrobyn1992 · 14/04/2017 15:33

In the last two night really bad heart burn and going to the bathroom a lot I'm hope my son will soon come

itbeeps · 14/04/2017 16:27

39+1 feeling like a beached whale. everything hurts so much and very little sleep :( hopefully baby arrives soon

GastonsWife · 14/04/2017 16:31

OH had the cheek to tell me he was "a bit bored" of me being pregnant and I wasn't "fun anymore". You can imagine how well that went down with a hugely pregnant lady! Come on girls! Almost there now!

MummyPenguin2 · 14/04/2017 17:07

Gaston, shall we all come over to house and collectively squash your husband?

GastonsWife · 14/04/2017 17:12

Yes please penguin I think he deserves it!

DirtyDancing · 14/04/2017 18:52

I could easily suffocate him with my tummy for you!!

I'm officially gross. We had a naughty take away tonight of fish and chips. I got at least half the curry sauce down my tummy as I can only get about foot away from the table now...! That's 3 outfit changes today. Too cold, too hot, too much curry sauce!

OP posts:
HLBug · 14/04/2017 19:02

It's Good Friday OP - traditionally you're supposed to have fish tonight, so a chippy is morally acceptable on many counts!!

IAmALionTamer · 14/04/2017 19:11

37+6 here and desperate for baby to arrive but building myself up for a late arrival. My thinking is that if I work on the basis that I'll go to 42 weeks then anything sooner is a bonus Grin
This is my 2nd baby and again we chose not to find out the sex. I am so excited to find out if it's another DS or a DD

marmitecheesetoast · 14/04/2017 19:20

Me too! 40 weeks today, doesn't feel like anything is remotely imminent Hmm
Had midwife appointment yesterday, had a sweep and was 1cm dilated, 50% effaced but cervix still mid-posterior and apparently the membranes felt tight? Had some period pain cramps and quite full on back ache last night but nothing since.

Been for reflexology session this afternoon to stimulate the accupressure points the can bring on labour and now in the bath with some drops of jasmine essential oil and some iced raspberry leaf tea!! Grin

Just really want to avoid an induction. Plus my carpal tunnel is doing my head in, I am a complete liability and I'm fed up of waking up every hour to turn over/pee!!!

marmitecheesetoast · 14/04/2017 19:21

Haha dirty dancing every time I eat or drink anything (or even get a glass of water out the tap?) it ends up on my bump!!

marmitecheesetoast · 14/04/2017 19:22

gastons can't believe your OH said that to you!! Shock hope he has made amends!!!!
