Here I do. Sorry i don't have any advice other than to say it's made me limp today such is the pain..

Peanut yes my tummy is on my thighs now, totally different shape. With that on my thighs and boobs on my tummy I look fabulous.... not!!!

Had a lovely Sunday roast out today, in the car hubby made me sit on a disposable nappy change pad thing as he didn't want me waters to break over the car. I wish I could be so lucky as to have something so major to happen that mean this baby is coming out!!

Midwife coming next week and I really really can't cope with having a sweep but maybe I need to consider it....

I'm currently experiencing some period-like pain but I'm definitely not getting my hopes up —I definitely can't imagine going into labour any time soonSad although I've also got some awful acid reflux today which I usually only get when I'm lay in bed at night, it's killing me!! Unsure if that's a sign or anything, there's nothing online to say it is, meh Envy

Fingers crossed coloured. I've been on google all day. Anything slightly out of the ordinary I check to see if it might Be anything. No luck so far.

Ha ha my boobs are also practically hitting my knees. Husband made dinner extra spicy and nearly blew the mouth off me! Keep trumping like a good thing - sorry tmi 🙂 not sure if that's a sign of anything

Haha peanut! I keep thinking I need a poo but then don't, just seems to be the feeling of pressure? Back still achey but nothing else. Have managed not to be so crazy today 👌🏻

So glad I'm not alone! 39+3 and totally fed up! No sign of anything except insomnia and pelvic pain! Hurrah for all of us!! Xx

Hope things get moving for at least one of us before the bank holidays end!

DirtyDancing I can see my OH making me sit on something too, I have warned him to bite his lip if he thinks about suggesting it when I'm in labour already. His car already has covers on every seat for the children Hmm

Me too crumble, I don't think either me or DH had envisaged him going back to work on Tuesday after the bank holiday weekend... think I'll feel a bit Hmm on Tuesday morning if that's the case

Hi everyone, I'm 40+5 today and feeling thoroughly hacked off with still being pregnant! I can't believe the Easter break is almost over and I'm STILL pregnant!
Had s sweep yesterday morning, but besides some period pains for a few hours, nothing has happened. Sick of eating spicy food and pineapple and sitting on a birthing ball all evening. 😔
I hope things get moving for you all soon.

Morning all. Any babies make an entrance overnight? We're all one day closer to meeting our little ones.

Marmite - my DH felt very cheated having to go into work last week. It looks like he'll be back in this week too. Or tomorrow at the very least.

Hi mycat - I feel your frustration. I'm 41+1 today.

I woke up with increased pelvic pressure but that's all. I've also got awful heel pain. I'm actually thinking of going to the doctors about it tomorrow as I can barely walk on them and the pain is keeping me awake at night. I've got a feeling they'll just tell me to wait and see if it goes after I've had the baby though.

I hope you all have something nice to do today to distract you from pregnancy.

TopKitty, you might have something called plantar fascitits causing your heel pain. I sounds similar to something I had a few years ago. It can happen when you're carrying extra weight around.
This is quite a good advice leaflet:
patient.info/health/heel-and-foot-pain-plantar-fasciitis

If it is this, it will get better once the baby comes.

Hope everyone not too glum this morning! 39+3 today, just making plans for this week's middle of the night emergency contacts for my other two DC (they are 6 and 9) and hoping I don't have to entertain them all school holiday week on my own as I don't have much energy left for that! It's very frustrating. We are going to try a short walk at a national trust place.

Morning ladies! I was wondering if different NHS trusts have different policies about when they induce. MW said the limit for our hospital is 41+3. Is that the same everywhere?

Coloured · 17/04/2017 10:14

Morning, still no baby for me yet ☹️ 40+4 today too!!

Gaston my area induces at 40+10, so hopefully only 6 days to go for me if LO isn't here yet😭

I've woken up feeling miserable again today, I'm sick of spending my life on that damn gym ball and it not doing anything for me!! Reckon I'm just gonna relax in front of the television today and hope nature takes its course🤞🏼

Report
TopKittyKat · 17/04/2017 10:38

Gaston - it's 40+12 at our trust, although I think it's flexible. If you look like your body could be gearing up to birth the might leave you an extra day or so.

Report
TopKittyKat · 17/04/2017 10:40

Mycat - that does sound like my foot problem. Did yours clear up or do you have ongoing problems?

Report
DirtyDancing · 17/04/2017 10:40

Coloured me too, I've really been trying to keep my spirits up, but I feel a bit down in the dumps today. The possibility of induction is dawning on me I think and I really would prefer to avoid it.

Feeling for everyone who has passed their due date, as mine approaches (20th) I am getting more and more frustrated, tired and irritable.

Let's hang on in there and between us I'm sure there wills be some baby news soon, to give us all a boost Cake

Induction here is 41 weeks (changed recently from 42 weeks). But I've had no problems all along so if I wanted to wait longer I think they'd let me.

Morning! 39+3 now. Can barely walk. Quite a lot of sharp pains/ pressure now down below but no other symptoms. Barely slept last night and had crazy dreams that I was cooking in a school canteen with Gordon Ramsay. Grin

Morning all. Waters broke at 7.30 this morning. In assessment unit now and our consultant if off due to bank holiday and covering consultant not very nice.

On a previous pregnancy which we lost I had group strep b do they would prefer to induce me as it hasn't been checked in a month. Annoyed with my consultant as we never really discussed this scenario.

Felt a bit pushed into induction so asked to speak to consultant again and am going initially with option of taking antibiotics through a drip for a few hours & then assess if anything starts to happen naturally or not. Could of gone home but there is a small risk to baby so don't really feel that that is an option

Just keep listening to my gentle birth affirmations on my phone as it's busy here. Waiting to go to ward

Wish me luck Smile

Hi all. Well I am currently in hospital being monitored after having mild contractions all yesterday and last night - am supposed to be a planned section tomorrow so thrown a bit of a spanner in the works! Not sure whether they are going to send me home or just say sod it and do the section today.

I haven't eaten or drunk anything since 5pm last night so would like either a c section or some breakfast please!

Oh and induction here is 40+8, used to be 40+11 but changed between ds1 and ds2

Report
mycatloveslego · 17/04/2017 11:13

I hope all goes well for you Peanut. I'm GBS positive and was in a similar position as you with DS1. They gave me 18 hours from when my waters went with antibiotic cover to go into labour naturally before they wanted to start induction. I managed to get to 4 cm but did end up on the drip with an epidural. DS was born 6 hours later, healthy and he didn't need antibiotics.
TopKitty, it went away when I lost a bit of weight, stopped walking on hard floors barefoot and put some gel heel inserts in my shoes. I'm betting as soon as baby is out yours will go away pretty quickly! It's agony though isn't it? Especially when you first get up from sitting or out of bed in the morning. 😔
