trixyortreatmalixy · 24/10/2007 12:44

Cheers, I didn't know whether the car park was used by people at the university and is normally chokka or not.

Good luck Luna!!

Loulee · 24/10/2007 13:58

will be thinking of you tomorrow Luna - oh and look out for dorothy if you're in west wing - she's given all my babies their first baths + is truely lovely
see u all thursday
midnight - yeah she is tiny, but those corsets are gorgeous - and could i get one on would sort out my baby tummy a dream!

weepotion · 24/10/2007 14:59

hi folks! forward to the morning and seeing how much they all have grown. i bet they are all getting to be real livewires. c goes through phases of never keeping quiet - bad news when it is 6am!

luna - we will gaze up the hill and be thinking of you! postive labour vibes your way!

so we are meeting at 10.30 downstairs?
the newcomers can look out for a group of babies, buggies and mums. the caffiene and cake will be flowing!

all going well here. C is getting bigger by the hour it seems and weaning has started. she has the right idea on what to do with her food but i am not sure so much is going in! that isnt such a worry though - i know that she will still get all she needs from breastfeeding. how many feeds a day are people on? i am still goign on
7am, 10.30, 1pm, 4.30, 6pm, 11pm, 3am.
when does it get any less??

who else has started to wean? has it changed the night feeds much.. c still wants one night feed which isnt too bad given that she only takes a wee while to feed these days!

M- great news on only one feed. is he eating more through the day to make up for it now?

weepotion · 24/10/2007 15:33

trixy - i tend to park acros the road at the transport musuem on the road parking.

Dalrymps · 24/10/2007 17:41

Hey everyone, 41+1 here, still waiting impatiently! Had a membrane sweep yesterday so hope it'll get things moving, the consultant is happy for me to go to 42 weeks before being induced, was going to be induced at 10 days over (this fri) but now it's next mon if i haven't popped by then. Hope everyone else is doing ok, will let you know if any news

liath · 24/10/2007 19:11

Fingers crossed for some baby action soon, Dalrymps!

Probably won't make it across tomorrow - I asked DH about finding the museum and he said it wasn't all that easy & I might struggle to find my way back on to the M8. We have got lost in Glasgow a few times before but I think if I was on my own I might get rather stressed (not the most confident driver ). Have lovely time!

spookthief · 25/10/2007 20:05

Lovely to see everyone this morning. Trixy, how's your cat doing? Fingers crossed it's less serious than the vet first thought.

WO - can you post the link to that help for working parents organisation? Thanks!

Loulee · 25/10/2007 20:43

Yeah nice to meet u all - sorry i had to rush off (had to do a sprint through the park to get there in time! with baby attached and buggy pushing it's a real work out!)
how did the filming go btw??! sorry to have missed u WO

midnightexpressmwahaha · 25/10/2007 21:03

Good to see you all - had a trying afternoon - all a bit tired and grumpy, and ds1 managed to pull his wellies and socks off in the supermarket and lose the socks so ended up going home in the buggy with bare feet. That'll teach him.

Loulee - WO could have told you all about sprinting through the park with a buggy after her workout class - v funny story.
WO - can you give us the recipe for the lentil cakes?
Hope the cat is OK Trixy

trixyortreatmalixy · 25/10/2007 21:27

Hi, was nice to see you all too.

The cat's not too good really, her ALT(?) levels were raised which apparently means that her kidneys and liver are traumatised so they couldn't sedate her to do any x-rays.

The vet did seem to think there was some feeling in her tail so she is staying in to be observed for the next week before any decisions are made about amputation or whether it would be best to put her down .

spookthief · 25/10/2007 21:57

Poor cat. I'm so that it might have been a deliberate injury. Makes my blood run cold.

trixyortreatmalixy · 25/10/2007 23:21

bookthief, I'm trying to convince myself that it was just an accident otherwise it makes me feel ill thinking of my poor cat being tortured like that.

TALLULAHSPELL · 26/10/2007 02:29

Hey Everyone - greetings from Down Under. Popped into DH's work to borrow his computer for 10 mins,no internet of my own as yet. Just time to say g'day as we are going away for weekend. Beach here I come . Will try to catch up later - hope can find new thread.

TALLULAHSPELL · 26/10/2007 02:32

Oops was reading first post last & got the wrong end of stick about new thread. Just ignore me - still jet lagged.

TALLULAHSPELL · 26/10/2007 02:50

Just caught up with msgs. Trixy- what happened to poor cat? Hope is OK. Was meet up fun? Any pics? Bit

geordiemacmummy · 26/10/2007 08:51

Hey ladies;

Apologies for not making the meet up yesterday, hope you all had a good time. Trixy hope your cat is ok.

I was thinking ladies, perhaps we should start a new thread in meet-ups or post-natal? Feel a bit of a fraud visiting the pregnancy section now. I think all of us originals have graduated, and I'm sure those few that are still waiting can join us. Plus we are getting close to 900 messages..

what does everyone think?

midnightexpressmwahaha · 26/10/2007 09:47

Was wondering the same gmm. ds2 nearly one, after all

trixyortreatmalixy · 26/10/2007 11:10

Tallulah, the cat had been missing for a few days and when she came back her tail was limp and she was walking a bit funny.

She has broken her tail and there is damage to her spine at the base of her tail. It's possible that the nerves to her bladder and bowel have been damaged as well.

The vet said the most common cause of this type of injury is people trying to swing cats by their tails .

GMM - I have been thinking for a while that we no longer belong in the pregnancy section.

spookthief · 26/10/2007 11:19

How about getting the thread moved into meetups? That way it doesn't matter on our "status" and new people who are looking to make links in Scotland might find us more easily?

We can contact MNHQ to get this thread moved, or just start another thread?

geordiemacmummy · 26/10/2007 11:31

I think we should start a new one as once threads get to 1000 posts they are full.

midnightexpressmwahaha · 26/10/2007 18:40

Right laydeez, I've started a new thread

here in the 'meet-ups threads.

Hope everyone manages to find us there! All bump-bearers and mums in Scotland very welcome over there

ps32 · 01/11/2007 19:18
