WO - the buggyfit class is too close in time to our signing class, but I think it changes day for the next term so might make it then.

TALLULAHBELLE · 27/09/2007 17:41

think its a fri from oct trix.

Loulee · 27/09/2007 21:51

Bumble, thanks! I've already been to the bobbi brown counter once already this week, but will def be going back!
Sleep here is a bit of a blur at the moment - not worth relaying - suffice to say i can justify buying concealer and eye cream (if i tear up the receipt )

geordiemacminx · 03/10/2007 17:21

I dont see many of your names on the scottish xmas party list.....

thelady · 03/10/2007 18:17

No chance of getting to the Xmas party this year - due Dec 4th! Wish I could...

geordiemacminx · 03/10/2007 18:22

ok, the lady, you are excused...

Everyone else??????

midnightexpress · 03/10/2007 20:44

Don't think I'm going to make it either - sleep issues and we're having major work done on the flat that's going to mean moving out for a few weeks, so not sure about timing of that yet. Argh. All we need just before Xmas.

In the meantime though, are we going to have another regular meet-up soon? How about West End somewhere?

Tallulah - saw that episode of 'Bringing up Baby' last night - . Blimey. What a fruit loop.

Loulee · 03/10/2007 22:28

Bringing up baby - yeah, why would you put your kids in that experiment???

re: xmas meet up - just know i wont make and edinburgh night out. don't even manage to keep up with my rl friends in edin
will try and make next glasgow one depending days/time..keep us posted midnight

hope u all doing well. The boy is growing fast and is a delight (in the daytime!) nights will be sorted soon i hope. him and i are suffering from some horrible bug that dd picked up from nursery, so not on top form right now. it's that not being able to just put your feet up that gets me. i want some wonder pill that gives you lots of energy...

Loulee · 03/10/2007 22:28

meant to say - west end is great for me

TALLULAHBELLE · 04/10/2007 18:19

Will be in Oz from end Oct - am i excused gmm? But could do a west end meet before i go.

weepotion · 04/10/2007 21:16

ok - lets just bite the bullet and get a date sorted. if we want to do it before t goes to oz - it has to be b4 the end of the month. if it is west end - any suggestions where to go? i dont know all that many places that are baby + buggy friendly. there is always theos but it gets so busy. any suggestions?
how about thursday 25th or friday 26th?????????????????????????????

midnightexpress · 04/10/2007 21:31

Both OK for me. But doesn't Tallulah go before that?

Would anyone be interested in a morning meetup? It's sooooo much easier to only have one ds in tow and ds1 would be at nursery on the Thurs morning.

If there were enough of us I guess we could colonise Theo's. Otherwise not sure (having suggested west end). Perhaps Loulee or Tallulah or Bookthief might have some ideas? Is Kelvingrove Museum any good with LOs?

weepotion · 04/10/2007 21:48

any time of the day is ok for me! i was at levingrove last week - there is loads of space in the foyer for coffee etc. i know that is where the sling meets used to be held so it might be ok?

Loulee · 04/10/2007 21:57

mornings often better for me too (only dd2 and babe), though i have to be out by 11.30 to pick up dd1. kelvingrove museum is good, theos too, but small....also the loft (upstairs from grovesnor cinema) is spacious and empty during daytime. (they have kids cars too. yay!!?)
minds gone blank to anywhere else. will have a think.

weepotion · 04/10/2007 22:09

loulee - the loft has been a bit off with our nct group meetings. they complained that we werent having meals. also - i dont think they open til 12??

Caz10 · 06/10/2007 17:48

Hi Paula

I stay quite a bit away from Glasgow, but from reading this forum I think there are lots of citycentre mumsnetters.
Just wanted to say hi and that I hope you can get some support from coming on here and also in RL too. Have you spoken to any support groups/organisations? Womens' Aid? The Samaratins would be a good starting point and could probably give you some other numbers to call.
This old thread has some numbers and links here

Take care x

spookthief · 06/10/2007 18:00

Hi Kelvingrove is pretty baby friendly. BeanScene across the road is also child friendly and tends to be pretty quiet. They've got a couple of highchairs and a box of toys for the older ones.

Montgomery's on Radnor St or Firebird on Argyle St are also good and happy to have babies about the place. Can you tell I'm just listing all my locals?

Byres Rd - Paperino's West End is very child friendly if anyone's wanting food. BeanScene by DeCourcy's Arcade also good for coffee.

spookthief · 06/10/2007 18:06

Hi Paula

Sorry things are tough for you at the moment. Would you be up for meeting up with us Glasgow mums? We're a friendly bunch!

I'm 35 with a 10 month old ds. Been married for 3 years and live in the West End of Glasgow. I'm usually available for a coffee during the week.

Caz10 · 06/10/2007 18:11

spookthief - I am v jealous of where you live - I used to love going to Firebird! House prices sent us out from West End to the sticks - but one of the flats we put on offer in for was on the hill on the way up to Yorkhill Hosp - great area!

spookthief · 06/10/2007 18:13

I do like it Caz. Unfortunately our flat is very small so we'll have to move soon - any nowhere near by because of the prices

Caz10 · 06/10/2007 18:19

It's a nightmare eh? Hope you end up a bit closer to town than we did. Although having said that, country living does have it's advantages, just back from a lovely walk on the beach!
Enjoy the bizz while you can!

ps32 · 06/10/2007 19:34

yes i would love to meet, my best day is a friday

spookthief · 06/10/2007 19:50

Ok - email me on shonaspurtle at gmail dot com and we'll sort out somewhere/time that suits us both.

Caz10 · 06/10/2007 20:06

Paula I'm so glad you're getting to meet up with someone, sorry it can't be me, have a good time and hope it helps.
