Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

Mistletoe I'd say those two great signs!! Having a good nights sleep and being in a bad mood. I had an amazing night sleep the day I went into labour with my second I used to crawl out of bed every morning 10am so tired but this one day I bounced out at 6am full of beans!!! That night I went into labour

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 10:10

Nikki you are bang on! My waters have just gone. (Nothing dramatic, just trickling out). I can not believe it. I've never been so excited at the prospect of being in lots of pain!

StubbleTurnips · 20/12/2016 10:13

Come on baby misle!

Dueindecember2016 · 20/12/2016 10:17

Yes!!!! Great news! Keep us all updated

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 20/12/2016 10:32

Woohoo! Amazing news mistletoe!

QuilliamCakespeare · 20/12/2016 10:46

Hooray mistletoe! I'm also having some mild twinges about 10 mins apart. Hopefully it's the beginning of things.

PeachBellini123 · 20/12/2016 10:46

Lots of luck Grin

Tinyhumanjan17 · 20/12/2016 11:42

Good luck!!!

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 12:26

Thanks all. Only a few dull aches so far so hoping contractions get going at some point. Midwife has asked me to come to MAU to be checked out so just waiting to be seen.

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 12:27

Good luck Quilliam!!

Elland · 20/12/2016 13:23

Back home now waiting for something to happen. I've been told to be active but not overdo it Hmm.

StubbleTurnips · 20/12/2016 14:53

Ah misle not sure what's worse - no symptoms or labour teasing you, get doing some laps of the house - this is the advice I had from my neighbour this morning. I live in a 3 bed semi, it'd take 3mins flat Hmm

lilydaisyrose · 20/12/2016 15:08

I'm still here too at 41+4;- I'd like to have a baby now please!!

Elland · 20/12/2016 15:57

When are they going to induce you lily?

My friend has a Christmas Day birthday and they celebrate Boxing Day, they just pretend it's not her birthday on Christmas :p if that helps anyone! (And my DH is Christmas Eve and loves it!)

QuilliamCakespeare · 20/12/2016 16:11

Well this is dull. Mucus plug has started to go but contractions aren't ramping up at all. DS had been born by this point!

Dueindecember2016 · 20/12/2016 16:34

Can any describe what a trickle of a water is like? Would I have a constant wet panty liner or just damp?

Any advice as I know some of you have had children in the past or are at this point now x

Bobkinyoyo · 20/12/2016 16:42

I remember being 40+5 and climbing the walls but then when she got here I suddenly looked back on that as bliss Grin

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 16:50

Due I'm still losing mine now. It was initially a trickle for me so i went to the loo to make sure I hadn't lost control of my bladder and then coughed and moved around a bit are sure enough it kept coming. The Midwife I saw said to expect about a litre of fluid. I've gone through about 5 maternity pads so far.

Dueindecember2016 · 20/12/2016 16:52

Thanks mistletoe. I think I might of just had a little accident bouncing on the ball then Confused whoops!!!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 20/12/2016 19:39

How's it going mistletoe? Hoping you can't answer because you are in delivery suite!

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 20:44

NOPE! Still no contractions. Have got the breast pump going and ball bouncing. Don't want to completely knacker myself out though so I'll have an early night and hope that something gets going in the morning. Thanks for asking Smile.

StubbleTurnips · 20/12/2016 20:57

I'm on the bastard bouncy ball eating Cadburys eclairs it's doing sod all.

I have a pressure headache again which some tenuous American site said could be baby engaging. Hmm
