Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

Have rhythm safety if you've to go in after so long even if contractions son start mistletoe?

How sodding annoying for you, if you get as far as your waters breaking you would like to think your body would know what to do and bloody well get on with it!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 20/12/2016 21:19

what the hell did my phone just type?! 😂😂😂

That should say will they have you go in anyway after a certain amount of time regardless of contractions, not a load of gibberish about rhythm safety! 😂

StubbleTurnips · 20/12/2016 21:31

whatthe I was about to google thinking rhythm safety was some kind of induction technique Grin

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 20/12/2016 21:40

stubble 😂 this poxy phone and predictive text drive me bonkers!

Dueindecember2016 · 20/12/2016 21:42

I've got a bloody headache too, can't shift it! It could have something to do with half the large Thorntons Santa I've eaten this evening. I've had a couple of aches this evening but nothing worthy of thinking this is it.

And the ball........the dreaded bloody ball!! Does that thing actually do anything for us pre labour?

Plus my carpel tunnel is getting worse. My ring finger looks like a claw and I can't hold a pan of water because my wrist is locked up.

Wow.... that was a good moan!! Shock

mistletoe1 · 20/12/2016 21:44

The hospital have booked me in for "stimulation of labour" Hmm ( think that's induction by another name!) at 10am tomorrow. Hoping my body gets a move on in the next 12 hours.

QuilliamCakespeare · 20/12/2016 23:25

Good luck overnight mistletoe. I'm going to bed too. Everything has stopped Sad.

Tinyhumanjan17 · 21/12/2016 04:40

How's it going ladies anything else happening?

A couple of tightenings woke me up during the night but no pattern and paracetamol helped so they were clearly nothing major lol. My tummy has gone bizarre though bubba is very much laid directly down the middle and moving as if he can't get comfy and keeps pushing his head down.

Saw the mw yesterday and Theyv booked me in for a sweep next Wednesday if things haven't happened by then but I'm doing loads of walking and stuff trying to get him going lol

Tinyhumanjan17 · 21/12/2016 04:42

Also possible tmi a little but is it normal to go to the loo loads before it all happens?! The last 2 days it feels like I need to go every couple of hours was wondering if it was maybe my body prepping itself so to speak!?!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 21/12/2016 07:35

tinyhuman this was me last week, Weds and Thurs I had a really upset tummy, constant backache and tightenings, but then it all stopped and nada since Sad

I've resigned myself to having yet another induction on Friday.....Just praying I don't call on the day only to be told they haven't got any beds free and to call back Christmas Eve 😱

I hope something happens for you soon!

Mistletoe will be thinking of you today! Wishing you a speedy delivery and home by teatime Smile

StubbleTurnips · 21/12/2016 10:15

Still pregnant.

Shortest day of the year, least it means it'll go quicker.

That's the only positive thing I can say today.

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 21/12/2016 10:25

That's the spirit stubble! 😂😂😂

I'm so fed up, yet another night of practically no sleep, got a very poorly toddler so it's not her fault but bloody hell, I'm on my knees! Labour today would actually be a nightmare I think.

Go out and do eat something nice today to take your mind off our crampy defunct uterus' inability to eject the baby, that's what I'd do if I wasn't stuck in the house of plague Sad

I'm gonna have a chocolate orange for breakfast, sod it!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 21/12/2016 10:26

Anything overnight quill?

Elland · 21/12/2016 10:28

Nope Confused. Just loosing more of my plug every time I go to the toilet but not much else to report. I'm having the odd tightening again but not getting excited this time because they're the same as yesterday and not getting stronger. I had weird dreams about trying to get to hospital so didn't sleep much either.

I hope everyone else is ok and not too fed up. I'm 40+4 today!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 21/12/2016 10:55

It's so weird that we are all sitting around praying to feel pain! I'm 41+1 today, but my bump measures 46 Shock I am one big bertha!

StubbleTurnips · 21/12/2016 11:05

I've turned into a proper grumpy PITA, a friend asked me to lunch today and DH wondered if it was wise me going out. Not because I'm overdue but due to my attitude issues Xmas Shock Xmas Blush

Hope you enjoyed the choc orange whatthe

Quill at least something's happening!

Elland · 21/12/2016 11:39

Whatthefreak You must be feeling so uncomfy!! I wish we could just press a button to get it started!

Stubble That's really funny Grin I'm really sorry to say your couple of posts have made me laugh on a day where not much else has so far!

41 today and I've managed to swap my midwife app from tomorrow to this afternoon so I'm going to go and see if this baby is anywhere near ready for a sweep this week, if not I'm giving up and going to bed with food for the rest of the week until my induction- I'll make DP bring my Christmas presents and dinner to the bed.
I've just had my mum on the phone and I said to her it's so annoying people telling me he'll come when he's ready and her response was aw people are just excited, he'll come when he's ready Hmm Can I give her a Biscuit

QuilliamCakespeare · 21/12/2016 12:35

Ha, attitude issues. Don't blame you though, the waiting is torture. Baby is so wriggly today that it hurts. Does anyone else have a real gymnast in there?

Tinyhumanjan17 · 21/12/2016 14:03

Yup bubba literally does not stop!!! Tightenings have pretty much gone again. He's choosing to listen to me now and wait until after Xmas I can guarantee it!!

user1465877498 · 21/12/2016 14:06

Well I got up this morning to wait for the midwife to come for my 3rd sweep (40+5) and lost my plug before she got here! She examined me and could feel my waters bulging and did another sweep, this time it was very painful, and I've had a lot of blood and a little dull achy cramping since! I've gone from 0cm Monday to 2cm today! So hope she comes xxx

Elland · 21/12/2016 14:22

Sounds positive user! Fingers crossed you'll have a baby very soon!

Dueindecember2016 · 21/12/2016 14:50

I've opted for a curry tonight with the in laws. Come on baby!!!!

Elland · 21/12/2016 15:11

Midwife just managed to do a sweep (jeez they're unpleasant aren't they!) but my cervix is still quite far back and hard! More positive than last week but not really positive enough for my liking Envy

OP posts:
Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 21/12/2016 17:59

Elland sweeps can be uncomfortable but they can help so always worth a try!

I'm so annoyed, MIL was having DDs Friday when I go to be induced- SIL (who lives 20 mins away!) now wants to stay with her from friday onwards for xmas so there industry no room for the DDs to sleep, as SIL2 is home from uni in the other room.

So chances are DP will now miss DC3s arrival Sad I will be ok doing it on my own, but I feel gutted for DP there yet again, his sisters wishes trump his. Oh well.

I really wish I could have a bottle of wine!
