Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

I share your pain, I was late with my first tried everything, sex, curry, pineapple, pineapple and more pineapple, bumpy car ride and a five mike walk. A GP friend told me to try swinging on a swing as apparently puts pressure on cervix and a few hours later my labour started 👍

PeachBellini123 · 03/01/2017 13:43

Oh Kione that sounds miserable. Although a friend on mine had the drip, it brought on a fast labour and baby and her were really well and healthy.

Kione · 03/01/2017 18:14

So! DS was born this morning after my waters went at 00.30.
It was brutal, he weighs 10.1 pound and I teared in and out. Lost lots of blood, etc. but its over!

SerialReJoiner · 03/01/2017 19:04

Congratulations! I hope you heal quickly. What a big baby!

PeachBellini123 · 03/01/2017 21:31

Congratulations Kione Flowers Here's to a speedy recovery.

Kione · 03/01/2017 23:17

Thank you. How is everyone else doing?

SerialReJoiner · 03/01/2017 23:31

I'm probably going to be pregnant forever! Grin

PeachBellini123 · 04/01/2017 09:14

Serial how far along are you?

I got very down yesterday. Felt so uncomfortable, tired and emotional. Feeling slightly better today.

2nd sweep later. Fingers crossed!

Elland · 04/01/2017 09:41

Congratulations Kione Flowers

I hope you're feeling okay after what sounds like a tough time

Congrats to all the new babies! I posted earlier on the thread. I was due for an induction on Boxing Day but earlier in the morning my contractions started. spent Boxing Day on the induction ward and was able to move to the birthing suite by 1am. Took a while and had a few interventions resulting in a successful kiwi cup delivery and baby arrived at 5pm weighing 8lb6.

I was 41wks6 days over and whilst that waiting period was the worst thing ever you really do forget it all once baby arrives. Positive thoughts to all those overdue babies out there!

SerialReJoiner · 04/01/2017 11:27

I am 41+1 today. Induction booked for Friday, 41+3, but I have a bit of bloody show today so you never know. Either way, I'll have a baby in a few days!!

Kione · 04/01/2017 11:41

Well the thought that I wouldn't be pregnant forever is what kept me going.

PeachBellini123 · 04/01/2017 12:18

Congratulations Sunshine Flowers enjoy your new baby.

How are feeling Kione?

Serial - I have my fingers crossed we both go in to labour before inductions.

SerialReJoiner · 04/01/2017 18:32

I'm feeling really calm/zen about it now. I can't do much either way, so there's no point in me worrying. I feel quite lucky in that I know & like my midwife and OB who will be attending the birth, either induced or starting on its own, so that's a nice feeling. I feel I'm in good hands whatever happens. I'm booked with the One to One midwives for a home birth up until induction on Friday morning, then I'll pass over into the care of my OB at the local hospital. It's all going to be fine!

Peach let's get this show on the road! :)

sj257 · 04/01/2017 18:49

Congratulations Kione xx

I'm 38 weeks, obviously not overdue but do know the feeling as my children were 15 days late and 11 days late. If I have to go another 4 weeks I will cry 😞 they were both over 10lbs and this one is measuring bigger than my son did on growth scans. Was told by various registrars that I wouldn't go overdue but the last one I saw said she couldn't see why I couldn't go 12 days overdue 😞 feeling very uncomfortable and fed up x

PeachBellini123 · 05/01/2017 07:37

Feeling similar Serial. Booked in for Sunday and have got a 'what will be will be' attitude. Knowing that this time next week I won't be pregnant is a relief!

sj - positive vibes your 3rd baby will make a timely appearance! Does seem unfair you are getting mixed message though.

SerialReJoiner · 05/01/2017 09:17

My Zen totally disappeared last night when I kept getting woken up by so-called practice contractions. Boo, no baby still. I'm off for a bit of retail therapy.

Sj- here's to getting a clear answer from your hcp's. Seems like it shouldn't be too much to ask!!

Kione · 05/01/2017 13:52

Hi, am ok going home now. Struggling a bit with feeding as he is such a big boy! But feeling better today after a long night.
Can't wait to be with DD at home

Kione · 05/01/2017 13:55

sj Flowers I find everyone gives a different opinion too, very frustrating

Tinyhumanjan17 · 05/01/2017 18:40

Urgh im 2 days to dd and struggling so much!! I'm getting pretty much constant period pains and Backache but it's not doing anything! I had my 2nd sweep on Tuesday and there had been no change in the week since my first... Only the outer part of my cervix has started to open so couldn't get in to do a full sweep so to speak. I'm struggling to walk, the fanny daggers and pains down below and in my bum are unbearable sometimes, but apparently baby is still only 3/5 engaged so they could get even worse yet!! Iv got another sweep tomorrow but I'm honestly not holding out much hope for it to do anything. My consultant appt is on Tuesday and she will hopefully book my induction then. I think the plan is that if they have to induce me it'll be at some point next week

I don't know how any of u have coped iv had at least 1 panic attack every day this week at the thought of having to potentially go another week to 2 weeks dh hasn't seen me cry so much since my initial depression diagnosis 3 years ago. One minute I'm feeling OK about it and the next I just can't cope!

SerialReJoiner · 05/01/2017 23:36

Baby Serial has arrived! Very fast, instense home birth. He weighs 9lbs 11oz and is gorgeous. :)

9 days post dates. So glad he is OUT!!

PeachBellini123 · 06/01/2017 12:53

Welcome to the world baby Serial Flowers You've given me hope as also 9 days overdue now Grin

Tinyhuman. I'm 41+2. It's miserable but keep talking, we all know how you feel. I do remember at 38 weeks thinking there's no way I could put up with another month of this but here I am!

SerialReJoiner · 06/01/2017 13:01

Good luck, Peach. You just never know what the day may bring. I wasn't sure I was in labour until a little over an hour before he was born! Crazy.

Tinyhumanjan17 · 06/01/2017 20:29

3rd sweep today and STILL no change!!! This baby is putting up every fight possible!!!! Due date tomorrow and the comments and questions have started!

4 more days to go till consultant!

Congratulations serial!!

SerialReJoiner · 06/01/2017 21:40

Thanks, tiny. I hope baby makes an appearance sooner rather than later!
