Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

Congratulations serial!

PeachBellini123 · 10/01/2017 02:11

After a short but traumatic induction my little boy was born at 11.00pm last night. He is beautiful and worth the pain.

Luckily no other intervention needed but I was left screaming in pain being ignored by midwives (DH had popped out to get food as we thought I'd be in for a while). After much crying and begging they eventually exaimed me and realised I wasn't just being difficult: I was 7cm dilated! Fortunately midwives who looked after me in labour were amazing.

Tired but buzzing now. Good luck to those still waiting.

Hi everyone! How are you all getting on with your babies?

Great! She's nearly 3 weeks old now. She's turned into a milk monster and gets hungrier by the day.
How are things going with you?

PeachBellini123 · 15/01/2017 21:01

DS is a dream. Sadly we are FF due to latching on difficulties but has been nice for DH to be able to feed him and they have such an a good bond already.

How is everyone recovering from labour?

Elland · 16/01/2017 17:48

Glad you're both doing well! I have a milk monster over here too. DS has gotten so big already, he's only just over 3 weeks but I want to go back to the day we brought him home and do it all over again!

Physically I'm healing quite well after birth (tear and episiotomy) but emotionally I'm struggling a little, DS was taken from me as soon as he was born as he was struggling and then went into the special baby unit for a couple of days and I just feel like I missed out on that moment when they're placed on you after birth, it's silly really because he's here and safe, that's all that really matters but I could cry just thinking about it.

Elland - not silly at all. I'm very emotional about the lack of support I got regarding breast feeding from the midwives. Was quite tramatic.

Is your health visitor supportive?

elland · 20/12/2017 15:02

High all! Well it's been a while year since this thread and I feel a bit nostalgic when I see similar threads of people waiting for babies this Christmas. How are you all getting on?

elland · 21/12/2017 19:29

@QuilliamCakespeare I don't quite know where the year has gone either! Is it your little ones birthday today or tomorrow? I'm just starting to wrap too
