Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

What a fabulous feeling, eh? :)

PeachBellini123 · 30/12/2016 12:34

Ah can't wait until that's me Kione Smile

Well I got excited earlier as had a bloody show but nothing else has happened yet Confused

Going for a long walk, hopefully little man will be here before my next sweep on Wednesday.

Princesspinkgirl · 30/12/2016 18:51

WELL HELLO to those still waiting 5 days overdue now !!

SerialReJoiner · 30/12/2016 19:01

Hello hello. Had a second - hideous - sweep today. Naff all. I feel sore from it, though. I'm booked for induction at 41+3, so at least I know for sure that this time next week I'll have him out! Grin

Kione · 31/12/2016 10:28

It was Serial and Peach, went out for lunch with DD but had to see the shocked faces of people we know! Am 40+9 now!
Not so energetic today that DP is around so he is not impressed Blush
Do you have an induction date *Peach? I am going -again- tomorrow!

Kione · 31/12/2016 10:29

Good luck Serial!!

SerialReJoiner · 31/12/2016 10:31

Thanks, Kione. Maybe there is some movement happening; last night was peppered with contractions strong enough to wake me up but they weren't regular or increasing intensity. Planning to go out today with the family so I'm almost glad it didn't kick off during the night. Almost...

Kione · 31/12/2016 11:24

Ooooh could he/she arrive today?

Kione · 31/12/2016 11:25

he, sorry

SerialReJoiner · 31/12/2016 14:49

Who knows!! On our way home now and my bed is calling me. It would be fun to have a new year's baby.

PeachBellini123 · 31/12/2016 21:07

No induction date as of yet Kione. Midwife will do another sweep on Weds when I'm 41 weeks and book induction.

Been having slight cramps and bump has definitely dropped. Come on baby!

Kione · 01/01/2017 23:00

Hi Peach and Serial how are you getting on?
I am in hospital, pessary on DP has just left (they'll call him if anything happens) but this is just a waiting game now...
I think I feel the cramps from midwife inserting it, but thats it.

Princesspinkgirl · 02/01/2017 00:21

Is this a ignore ppl thread

PeachBellini123 · 02/01/2017 05:33

Oh good luck Kione! How's it going?

Nothing happening here...don't think my baby knows that he needs to leave at some point...Grin

PeachBellini123 · 02/01/2017 05:33

How are you getting on PinkPrincess?

Kione · 02/01/2017 05:39

Sorry Princess I only asked them as I thought they were closer to labour

Kione · 02/01/2017 05:42

I am having different contractions when being monitored, but they ease when I lie down. Quite strange. I managed to sleep too, will try to have a last kip before breakfast!

PeachBellini123 · 02/01/2017 10:59

Hope you managed to sleep Kione. How are you feeling now?

Kione · 02/01/2017 12:21

About 4 hours, they woke me up to monitor and then I couldn't go back to sleep.
Pessary came out so they put another one and had contractions for a while but they stopped again. Its very frustrating :(

StubbleTurnips · 02/01/2017 13:31

Kione that's very similar to my first labour, hope it progresses for you!

Kione · 02/01/2017 13:49

Second pessary came out too, they've put another one; doesn't look like it will happen today...

PeachBellini123 · 02/01/2017 17:44

Will they try gel next? I've heard pessaries don't work for lots of women Sad

Am thinking of you Kione! 40+5 today. Had slight back ache but stopped with a hot water bottle.

Kione · 02/01/2017 19:45

No, if I dilate enough they'll break my waters and if that doesn't work then on the drip, which really scares me. But in any case it won't be tonight as they have less staff at night Sad
Here is hoping for natural labors for everyone here!!

Kione · 02/01/2017 22:51

I am having "mild" contractions but the MW was SO rough on the last check up that I don't want to say anything Confused

SerialReJoiner · 03/01/2017 05:17

Oh, Kione, I know the feeling. Those "checks" are horribly invasive. :( I hope you've had the baby by now!
