Anyone who is similar please come and join, I want to complain and not be told he'll come when he's ready Sad I know that that is the case but I can't have it repeated to me any more than what I've already heard it, mainly by the annoying fuckers who text me and ask if the baby is here yet!

I went to the midwife for a sweep at bang on 40 weeks but she couldn't do it because he wasn't engaged enough so I can't try again until Thursday which is pushing it too close to Christmas Day Angry And I had £50 worth of acupuncture yesterday and he's still as high as he was 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry for the moan but I'm so fucked off, I just don't want him to have a birthday any closer to Christmas than what he has to Sad

If anyone was barely engaged with not even a hint of a show but suddenly dropped and went in to labour, now is the time to share your stories!

Congrats control and glad to hear you made it back home for Christmas. Take it easy and let everyone run round after you now.

PeachBellini123 · 24/12/2016 20:47

Hope you and your baby have a lovely Christmas Control.

cnchapmanxx · 25/12/2016 03:55

Hi all!
So I was due yesterday and midwife couldn't do a sweep as baby was so far back and not even engaged. So I was upset and crying and then just watched Christmas films all nihhh with DH,
Wake up this morning about 8.30 stood up did a little fart sorry and it was so wet.
Went to the toilet, mucus plug came away, waters went half an hour later, fully dilated by 11 and had my beautiful baby girl by 13.38 weighing a whopping 9lb 12oz.
Evelyn Francesca Rosa Chapman xx

Had a forceps delivery at the end as baby was facing the side and got stuck. Epidural was the best no pain whatsoever. Merry Christmas to everyone and anyone overdue hopefully your little bundles of joy will be here soon xxx

MY PEOPLE!!!

Well, kinda, you're all actually having babies! I think mine's faulty. Currently. 39+6 and doing my nut.

I just don't want the acid reflux and the dislocating shoulder any more ffs!

QuilliamCakespeare · 25/12/2016 06:18

Congratulations! Baby Evelyn is absolutely beautiful Flowers

Dueindecember2016 · 25/12/2016 08:31

Merry Christmas ladies (and gents). 40+2 with another go at the sweep tomorrow.

For those of us waiting for our babies, let's just enjoy today and make the most of it being a time we can eat our dinner hassle free. This time next year they could be running around tearing the house up.

Keep smiling ladies x

PeachBellini123 · 25/12/2016 10:19

Cn. What a beauty, congratulations. Merry Christmas all. Wise words Due. Xmas Grin

Ooh first show in whole pregnancy just now! Just pale pink blood and mild period pains!! How exciting tries to go back to sleep!

QuilliamCakespeare · 26/12/2016 04:32

Oooh, fingers crossed bumble!

Did we get any Christmas Day babies?

Bumbleclat · 26/12/2016 05:00

Thank you!
I'm 40+5 today so hoping she makes an appearance but 'shows' aren't really much to go by by the sounds of things on here?

Elland · 26/12/2016 08:56

Good morning everyone!

Thank you for the congratulations, I finally got my baby back with me lasts night on the ward after he had to spend a couple of days in the special baby unit and he is perfect, hopefully we will be allowed home today.

Congratulations to the new babies that have been born and fingers crossed for those who are still waiting they will be here very soon.

Mistle and Tilly - I'm sorry you had to go through the same Sad it's really not nice is it! How are you holding up today mistle?

Bumble I only lost my plug in the morning that I went it to labour, just gunky and some of it pale blood, my pains started off as period pains too so fingers crossed for you this is it!

How is everyone else doing? For anyone just joining the thread, it was only a few days ago that I was moaning that there were no signs and now he's here and it's gone so fast so even though you're still waiting it will be here before you know it!

bumble with both my pregnancies I lost my mucus plug over a couple of days then went into labour that evening. So for me, they are definitely a sign that things are starting.

Bumbleclat · 26/12/2016 11:28

Ooh so exciting Xmas Grin
Just been for a lovely walk with DH still mild cramps and mucus loss happening. Also I randomly vomitted into a hedge so that's maybe a good sign too!
Hoping to avoid the stretch and sweep or as my DH calls it shake n vac booked for Wednesday!

Hannahcarp27 · 26/12/2016 11:51

Hi all!! 8 days overdue now and loosing the will!!! It's so boring being overdue feel like this baby will never show up!!

Kione · 26/12/2016 11:54

Hi all
40+4 here and woke up totally fed up and depressed. Currently lying in bed crying DD7 is a star and is downstairs with DP and I feel so guilty. I am having really negative thoughts about this baby which makes me feel guiltier. Sad

StubbleTurnips · 26/12/2016 12:39

I'm 10days over now Angry

Nothing doing at all!

Dueindecember2016 · 26/12/2016 13:35

I went for a sweep today but the midwife wouldn't do it as she wasn't sure on the position of the baby. I had to go for an emergency scan and it turns out that baby is breach!!

I'm all booked in for a section this week for a safer delivery.

Kione · 26/12/2016 13:49

Oh bless, good luck, at least no labour pains!

mistletoe1 · 26/12/2016 15:09

Hi Elland, much much better in every sense though still worried about bonding as I can't get him to latch to breastfeed. I'm sure it's something to do with the forceps/ shoulder dystocia. Feel very emotionally flat.

Physically I'm healing well. I was horrified by the swelling but that has gone down a lot, bathroom trips have been ok so far (taking lacutose). I am very low on iron as I lost nearly 2l of blood so I'm a bit wobbly and the adrenaline has worn off!

I am sure I'll be feeling even better in a few more days. I hope your recovery is going well?

For everyone stil waiting, I completely understand the awful frustration of it and I felt very down and hormonal. Please look after yourselves and rest up!!

QuilliamCakespeare · 26/12/2016 17:52

Mistletoe my DS1 wouldn't latch at first. He was very sleepy when generally not interested at all. Then he got jaundice and didn't gain weight. I was an emotional wreck, feeding, pumping and topping up with formula every 3 hours. It took a couple of weeks before I could really relax and enjoy my newborn but we honestly couldn't be closer now. He's a proper Mummy's boy. Your bond will come, don't worry x

mistletoe1 · 26/12/2016 22:03

Thanks Quilliam. That sounds familiar - he's a very sleepy baby and I'm expressing like crazy! My husband has really bonded with him as he's been doing a lot of the feeding while I pump so there is definitely a positive. I know we will get there!

PeachBellini123 · 26/12/2016 22:15

mistletoe - glad to hear your recovering. Lovely your DH has bonded so well with him, am sure you will before long as well.

Kione · 27/12/2016 06:34

I think I have lost some of the mucus plug and can't sleep!
I keep reading that it can be a sign of labour, but maybe not Hmm

tillytubby · 27/12/2016 06:35

Had a sweep yesterday at 40+11, midwife was a bit shocked I had not had one already. It wasn't as bad as I thought and I felt I could trust her to have a good rummage.

Went to bed with a lot of pressure in my bum and feeling like baby falling out. Woke up with cramping and contractions. They carried on and I slept in between.

This morning things have calmed down a bit but starting to build again! Please let me see my baby today!!

Elland · 27/12/2016 07:19

Glad to hear you're recovering well Mistle - I think you're doing a fab job trying to breastfeed, I couldn't even contemplate it after the stress, I hope it picks up for you asap! Did they offer you a transfusion for your loss? I think iron levels take quite a long time to build up with tablets- according to them anyway!

It was our first night home las night and he's a little dream although he was just smacking his lips together for food but has decided against it once I got up Grin

Do we have any new babies on the thread? I'm sure we're due at least one !

I think I might have torn a couple of stitches which isn't good, I hope we see the midwife today.
