Yay lynsey what a relief!! Guessing they will still keep an eye on you? So pleased you dodged the self injecting and your little bump is safe and sound. Have a great weekend! X

Whatsername17 · 07/10/2016 16:11

Great news Lynsey! Are you on aspirin now? I have to say that tiny pill has worked wonders for me - my bp is still completely normal! Badger I sobbed on the scan table at 7 weeks too! It's all just such a relief! Purple I agree with pp, if you can't get a scan use your freebie. Will you find out the sex?

LynseyH · 07/10/2016 16:22

It does feel abrupt and admittedly a little nervous that they've stopped them as the clots were there, what's to stop them coming back...but I'm having good to trust the professionals! Doctor double checked with the consultant and they all agreed I didn't need further treatment or checks. No aspirin either which I kind of expected them to prescribe?
The only question I asked after all the information they'd thrown at me was, so I'm not a ticking time bomb now?!
They assured me I'm not!
Thank you again ladies, you are a lovely lot :-)

Great news lynsey Grin

Naschkatze · 07/10/2016 16:50

lynsey so pleased to hear that! Hope you have a lovely weekend planned and are celebrating this evening.

Yay Badger amazing news. We've all been there, I sobbed so much at the 8 week scan the sonographer had to stop until I could compose myself!

Butterfly I was thinking of you as I read today's posts, I'm so glad you're still reading. Hope all is well.

Whatsername17 · 07/10/2016 16:52

I'd double check on the aspirin, Lynsey. I take 75mg a day. My consultant said it would stop a clot passing the placenta.

MoonlightMojitos · 07/10/2016 17:16

Just wanted to quickly check in and say I'm so glad everything is OK now lynsey. Must be such a relief. I'm off on a work social now so will catch up properly in the morn! Wish me luck not rousing suspicion not drinking!

LynseyH · 07/10/2016 17:16

Who would I call do you think? Maybe the unit I've been at? As much as I didn't want to carry on with the injections, I was a bit confused as to why I'd have nothing to keep things on an even keel either.
I was just so happy to be told all was ok, I didn't really question them. It's since the adrenaline has calmed down that questions are popping in my head :-/

Whatsername17 · 07/10/2016 17:39

I'd call the unit and then midwife. Id start the aspirin too. It is safe and won't hurt to take it. I've been on it for nearly 10 weeks.

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 18:03

Badger it never ceases to amaze me how special those first pics are I'm so thrilled for you cxxx

Lyns that's amazing news, see I told you how strong and amazing u are,u kicked those clots arse!
Xxx

doleritedinosaur · 07/10/2016 18:04

Great scan pic badger, so pleased for you.

That's good you're in the all clear Lynsey, definitely chase them up if you want to know why they're not following it up further. But that is really good news.

Enjoy your social Moonlight.

purpleviolet1 · 07/10/2016 18:11

Really pleased for you Lyndsey!

Xxbec, the EPU here only looks after you until 11+6...I'll see what the midwife says on Monday. Thanks.

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 18:16

Wow purple that's crappy, I'm convinced your absolutely fine but I'd feel better for you to have another scan to put your mind at ease a little more, like I mentioned earlier window to the womb offer a scan at 16 weeks for £55, it's gender plus 4d sneak peek, it's priced affordably don't you think, have you got one anywhere near you? Xxx

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 18:16

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 19:03

I'm counting down the days stil and trying to not worry constantly but is really hard, if my 12 week scan is a positive one them il book the gender scan in, I'm not telling anybody until at least 16 weeks if I'm lucky enough to be in that position obviously. My mother made her feelings about me having another baby quite clear and so I'm making sure that I don't burden anybody with my choices, (except my darlings on here!)
Makes you laff as nothing was said to my sister about having a fourth when she's the least maternal and least loving mother you'd find lol

purpleviolet1 · 07/10/2016 19:25

Xxbec, I do have a free private scan I can use so I'll defo use that! Thanks for the info though , so kind.

Shame about your mum.. Sad

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 19:51

It's funny because it's so true about people taking your kindness as a weakness and also as an open door into giving you their opinion about your life whether you've asked for it or not!
That's how I see my mine and my mothers relationship unfortunately.
My sisters very cold and very aggressive, if your in any disagreement with her and she wouldn't stand for the disapproving comments so that's probably why I get them all lol
Anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? Xxx

DirtyDancing · 07/10/2016 20:44

Awww Badger congratulations!!!! I'm so pleased for you xxx

We had our scan today and everything was wonderful! We saw our little one, who was really active and kept stretching out his/her legs Grin We saw some hands and feet too. Due date is one day later now, so 20th April. All really real and exciting, can't quite believe it so relieved and happy. Having some chocolate brownie to celebrate Cake

Thanks for thoughts and best wishes this week everyone xxx

Badgerbird · 07/10/2016 21:39

Fantastic news dirty! How lovely to see so much movement. Very exciting Smile

Oh bec sorry to hear that, you sound like such a wonderfully dedicated mummy and it isn't really anyone else's business how many kids you have surely. Hey ho, family! You can't choose them. You upto anything nice this wknd to keep your mind busy? It's DIY central here!!

LynseyH · 07/10/2016 21:49

Congratulations dancing great news!

Definitely going to call the unit back in morning as my ribs are starting to hurt again Sad seems strange it got better after a few injections but hurting again once stopped... Can't shake the worry even though they've given me a thorough check over. Does anyone know how soon the injections work and how soon the effects wear off? Deep breaths make it worse, feels like the beginning of it again.
So frustrating.

I think heparin is effective for 12 hours.

If you have real doubts please don't hesitate to get medical advice.

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 08:22

Congrats on the scans badger and dirtydancing!

lynsey hope you're OK this morning. Definitely give them a quick ring and double check if you're worried.

I got myself in a bit of a flap last night as was having quite intense pain on the left side (different to the cramps before, more an intense dull pain) so I convinced myself this one is ectopic. I did get my BFP early (9dpo on a cheapy) so now im panicking what if it implanted in my tube instead of getting all the way down. Pain is gone again this morning but dp still wants me to ring drs and see if they'll do a scan to confirm. Don't know what to do. Hopefully I'm just over reacting because I just feel so nervous about every symptom and twinge. This is all so nerve-racking.

Adventuregame · 08/10/2016 08:37

I've woken up and symptoms have all disappeared. Boobs aren't sore at all and no sickness (8+3)
moonlight call dr if you're worried it try and book a scan in for Monday ?

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 09:26

Are you worried adventure? Have they been very strong the whole time so far or on and off? My drs and the epu are closed weekends so cant ring today and we go on holiday tomorrow... not abroad but still means I'll have to wait til we get back to ring

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 09:28

Congrats dirty that's amazing!!

Moonlight I don't really think implantation timing is related to location as my last pregnancy I got a positive at 3dpo, that's was in the right place and this pregnancy I bfp was at 9dpo the same as you.
I think the symptoms are pains in your shoulder blades, abdominal pain and breathlessness and I also think a fever but I'm not 100%.
I would say get checked as it's all just to stressful without any extra worry xxxx

It's so hard with the symptom checking isn't in adventure, I'm like that everyday, today my boobs just feel slightly delicate, my sense of smell is still strong but I feel quite well, got up at 6.30, cleaned up, mopped the floors and started the laundry, now I'm all panicky too!

God help us xxx
