Thanks bec. I just don't know what to do as really don't want to go to A&E but with holiday tomorrow I'd have to wait a week until I'm back and can go to epu. I've read about the shoulder pain and that means it's ruptured so is an emergency and you should go straight to A&E. I don't have that thankfully. I do have diahorrea which can be a sign but we all know about the bowel issues I've had over the last 2 weeks lol so hoping it's not related and I'm just being overly nervous.

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 09:59

I would just go A&E moonlight, get checked see what they say.
If you don't you're not going to enjoy your holiday one bit, it's probably going to be busy with louts from there drinking adventures last nite but they are usually pretty quick with gynae I've found xxxx

Adventuregame · 08/10/2016 10:28

I can't decide if I'm worried or not as I know there's nothing I can do whatever is happening. Put it this way I prefer it when boobs are painful and I'm retching ! Ha ! I just can't stop thinking 'oh well it's bound to be an MC again - why would it go right this time'. I can honestly say this is the worst feeling in the world and I'm not enjoying this bit at all. It's like continually waiting for your period to arrive.....but for 5 weeks. Urgghhhhh

LynseyH · 08/10/2016 10:39

I'm on way back to hospital :-/ the unit wasn't answering but spoke to a doctor via 111 and they want me in.
Hope all is ok adventure. Keep positive and keep talking x

Bless you adventure we feel the same, I even have felt the same after having scans, I had the 7,8&10 one but the day after the 10wk one I was like ok I've past the last milestone but only by a day, maybe things went wrong today. It's endless torture, well I think if my scan Wednesday is positive I will feel a lot more optimistic but I've thought that before each of the other scans.
I wish I had some good advice for you, it's very hard going, I had my bfp from 9dpo and I've become more attached everyday and the thought of that being taken away from me is traumatising.
I can only say I've got everything crossed for us xxxxx

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 11:07

Lyns it's best to be cautious xxx

Adventuregame · 08/10/2016 11:30

Thanks all. I know everyone here is going through the same worries - it's no fun is it !

LynseyH · 08/10/2016 11:50

Finally got an answer! They've diagnosed Pleurisy. Only thing I find strange is from what I can gather, Pleurisy usually follows a cold, virus or pneumonia, I've not had any!
I've felt tired and run down but I've always thought that was pregnancy related, certainly not illness. Now been stocked up on painkillers as I'm not allowed the anti imflammortary drugs, like ibuprofen etc.
Least I know what I'm dealing with now!

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 13:04

Well that's good news lyns, strange but good xxx

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 13:23

Oh God lynsey you're really having a hard time of lately! At least you have some answers now.

I rang 111 too and now I've got an appointment at 2.30 at local hospital (epu isn't open weekends). I'm shitting my pants now. I was quite calm until I rang them but them saying I need to see them has made me worse. I'm not sure if they're doing a scan or what really? They wouldn't be able to see anything at 5+2 anyway would they? I guess hopefully a sac in the right place and if not then it's ectopic?

INeedNewShoes · 08/10/2016 14:10

Lynsey poor you! Pleurisy is no fun. Presumably you've been signed off work? A friend of mine had it and was off for 2-3 weeks I think.

I had my scan this morning. All is well and foetus measuring at 9 weeks which tallies. I can't describe the relief but I know you all understand.

LynseyH · 08/10/2016 14:20

moonlight hope you get on ok. Glad they are gonna check you.
newshoes the pain in my ribs is unreal, I feel like I've been hit with a sledgehammer. Thankfully I don't work at the moment, so just the kids to cope with. One of them is really throwing his weight about today too :-/ congratulations on your healthy scan!! The relief is immense!

Shoes that's amazing news welcome xx

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 16:44

Hope u get on ok moonlight xx

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 16:49

Congrats on the scan newshoes

So basically the place I had my appointment was an out of hours gp, he prodded my stomach a bit and then did a blood test (and blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels etc). Bloods have been sent off to be tested (don't know what for? Presumably hcg levels?) And then the hospital will be in touch. So just waiting now. I did tell him I'm going on holiday tomorrow afternoon and he said he will tell them that so hoping they ring me by tomorrow morning.

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 18:01

Apparently moon if you have a swelling inside your body anywhere, like a tumour ( or possibly an ectopic pregnancy?) there is something in the blood which is raised, perhaps that's what they are looking for? Obviously I have no clue if that would be the case with an ectopic but it's a possibility isn't it.
When I had bloods taken before pregnancy I was convinced I had a brain tumour and the doctors told me that these tests will show raised inflammatory markers, as there would be a swelling inside the body.
It's probably as simple as the beta hcg but odd doing that and not telling u to hot foot it back on Monday.
All that and your no further a field, bloody marvellous.

I've been feeling extremely anxious and I've now ordered a doppler which is supposed to arrive tomorrow, I'm hoping that it will come and I'll be able to find a heartbeat, I'm an absolute maniac, god knows what will happen if I can't find it for watever reason 😬😬
I just thought that if I can locate a heartbeat that I will feel such tremendous relief, I really hope there's one to find 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 19:35

Just had a call back from the hospital, got a scan at 11am tomorrow :(

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 20:06

That's a good sign moon, it means your hcg is very definetly in the thousands!
The least beta hcg they will scan from is 2000 xxx

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 20:18

Oh thanks bec :) you are very knowledgable! I was thinking they maybe picked something bad up. Just have to see how it goes then!

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 20:51

I'm crossing my fingers for you!
Obviously, 5+3 you should see a sac, may possibly see a yolk also, but there's only a slight chance you will see a heartbeat, not impossible but from my experience I'd say not likely.
But it's fantastic to get a good starting point as although another 7-10 days will be long for you, you should hopefully have an idea of what's going on, I'll add my pic of my 6+5 scan for you to see xxx

Badgerbird · 08/10/2016 21:01

Blimey you lot are going through it these last couple of days!

lynsey sorry it's been such a rough ride for you. So hoping you are on the road to recovery now Flowers

mojitos I'm pleased you are having a scan tomorrow, hopefully put your mind at ease before you go on holiday. Are you still in pain?

newshoes yay to your great scan!!! It is such a ridiculous relief isn't it Smile

bec its shit that you're feeling so anxious Sad it's such a nerve wracking time Hun and hormones don't help do they. We get so attached to our little blobs don't we :) Hoping your kiddies are keeping your mind as occupied as poss and your Doppler brings some peace of mind x

XxBecxX · 08/10/2016 21:20

Thanks badge xxx

Can't sleep, been thinking bout your pleurisy Lyns and it dawned on me, about a link to the flu jab and so I googled it and there seems to be a lot of people saying that they have had this after a flu jab!!
That's a snippet of one page

Staying posifrickentive- Thread 12 for ladies pg after mc
LynseyH · 09/10/2016 08:10

Thank you xxbec for thinking of me but I've not had the flu or whooping jabs yet! I don't understand where it's come from at all. These last few days have been a mystery. Blood clots on my legs seemed wierd too as I'm always on the move, not overweight and no family history.... but the doc yesterday said pregnant ladies have 60% chance of it so could just be that.
The pain from Pleurisy is honestly awful. Gonna have to try the stronger painkillers today as paracetamol doesn't touch it at all. Sleep doesn't happen much when you can't get comfortable but my little girly has been wriggling away to keep me happy.
