Good luck for tomorrow's scans!

Linsey - what a worrying time. Sounds like the docs are completely on top of things though and you've got the care you need. So pleased that baby is doing well and that's one less thing to worry about for now. Hope your lung scan is clear tomorrow. Flowers for you.

DirtyDancing · 06/10/2016 23:47

Thanks very much everyone. Decided to go to cinema and take my mind off things.. But ended up seeing Bridget Jones Baby so it's sort of did as it was very funny.. But of course it's all about having a baby and scans! Lol Grin

I am 12+1 today. I've suddenly got a bit of a popped tummy and trousers are suddenly a bit tight.. Not sure if it's just the lasagne and chips I had tonight! I have been feeling sick and off my food up until this week and now I am starving all the time!!

Way passed my bedtime so I am going to try and sleep now. Will report back tomorrow Star

DirtyDancing · 06/10/2016 23:48

badger good luck to you as well xx

doleritedinosaur · 07/10/2016 00:16

Good luck to those with scans tomorrow.

Oh no Lynsey that sounds awful! Really good they're on top of it & hope scan goes well tomorrow. It's good you didn't panic & now you know your pink buyings are good.

Sorry you're still bleeding purple, have you got a scan before 20 weeks? They told me, mine was posterior at 16 weeks but can move.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. Had a weird & long day so hope I haven't missed anyone. Just finished the girl on the train which I started at 9pm so now I'm wide awake!

Jpeg gorgeous scan! I bet you're beaming.

Naschkatze · 07/10/2016 06:37

Lynsey So sorry to hear what a tough time you're having but I'm glad baby is well and you sound so positive despite it all!

Good luck to all with scans today. Huge congratulations Jpeg! Beautiful picture.

20 weeks today! Feel like it's another milestone; can't quite believe I'm here. But I was woken at 5:30 with baby kicking me so I think he/she was reminding me it was a big day. Scan on Monday, very worried, despite the movements...

jpeg28 · 07/10/2016 07:41

Lynsey I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Hope everything goes well today.

Nasch that's amazing you're 20 weeks!! Does it feel like it's gone quite fast?? I can't wait until I can feel the baby kick Smile

dolerite isn't the girl on the train the best book?! I'm going to see the film tonight... hope I'll be able to stay awake!!

Whatsername17 · 07/10/2016 07:44

Stay strong Lynsey- you are in the best possible place. All of the women in my family have had clots due to pregnancy - I have four very positive stories about each of them. So glad you are getting good care and your girlie is keeping you company x

DoubleCarrick · 07/10/2016 08:20

Lots of love lynsey, sweetheart. Chin up and your baby will be here before you know it. They will look after you well and keep you and your little girl safe

LynseyH · 07/10/2016 08:54

Thank you ladies. Just got to hospital. Nerves are kicking in but it's obvious I need the intervention! I'll let you know how I get on.
Good luck to all with scans today!

Good luck with scans and good luck Lyndsey!

No scan booked until 20 weeks now but the consultant has unofficially scanned me at last couple appts, just to check there has been a heartbeat because of the brown spotting. He said he's not trained to take the measurements etc. He keeps telling me not to worry about the brown but I do wish he would send me for an official 16 week scan. I have a midwife appt on Monday and may ask them there. Not sure if they will be willing since I am under the consultant anyway.

I do have a free private scan to use , it's a growth scan and can be used between 14-24 weeks. I was thinking of using it at 18 weeks. It's free because no one turned up to the private 11 week scan and we waited outside the clinic for ages before eventually giving up. We couldn't get in touch with them either so they offered this free scan.

Good luck dirty and badger. Hope the scans give you the reassurance you need.

Lynsey sounds like you've been through the mill. Hope it goes well today.

Hope everyone else is doing well and got nice plans for the weekend

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 14:41

God Lynsey have they said why you have developed these clots?
Keep strong my lovely, I know you are being challenged further but I know you will get through this, you are made of tough stuff.
What's the plan, with regards to treatment?
Why does the world like to kick you in the arse sometimes, I thinking of you xx

Badgerbird · 07/10/2016 14:44

Just checking in to say .... There really is a little baby in there!!! 7 weeks with a strong heartbeat SmileSmileSmile Absolutely overjoyed. I've never had a positive scan before and completely lost it bawling and nearly hyperventilated on the scanning table! I'm such a dick. But all good for now, nice to have some good news.

Lynsey I hope you are being well looked after.

dirty I hope you are doing well too Hun.

purple I hope your midwife agrees to a scan on mon otherwise you may have to use the freebie for peace of mind x

Badgerbird · 07/10/2016 14:46

And Thankyou for all your well wishes you lovely lot!

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 14:46

Purple I'm sure if you rang the EPU and told them that your still worrying and feeling this bulk of anxiety and that you'd like to have an 16 or 18 week scan, I'm sure they will do it for you, you are still the EPU's responsibility until you reach 20 weeks xx

INeedNewShoes · 07/10/2016 14:47

Badger - that's brilliant news Smile

I'm sure sonographers are well used to dealing with emotional women!

XxBecxX · 07/10/2016 14:47

Arrrr badger that's amaze balls!!!
Well done you xxxx

LynseyH · 07/10/2016 15:08

Yay badger congratulations!

Good news from me too, hospital has given me the all clear. CT scan came back perfectly healthy so they aren't worried. Clots in both legs are breaking down nicely and as there are no clots elsewhere, they don't see that I even need to carry on with the jabs!
Can't believe after all that worry I've been told I'm in the clear and no further treatment is needed. But phew and thank god!!
Still no idea what caused the clots in the first place but I'm not going to dwell on it either.
Thank you all so much for your kind words over the last 2 days!!
I celebrated with cake hehe x

Lynsey I've come hunting to check on you after your message last night. I am SO relieved your CT scan has shown your lungs etc are clear and that the clots in your legs are going. Seems a bit abrupt to suddenly halt the jabs doesn't it! Are they checking on you again in a few days to make sure things stay ok? Fabulous news though, and a massive hurrah that you don't have to keep on self injecting. Just keep swimming Flowers

Netcurtainrummager · 07/10/2016 15:18

Thank God for that Lyndsey! Finally got to check in after dealing with the house of lurgy for a few days and can't believe the dramas you've been having! I do recall someone saying to me that clotting is bit more likely in pregnancy so I think it's just something that can happen to some ladies. So glad you're OK and can escape the dreaded Clexane bruises!

Beautiful blob there Badger, big congrats!

DoubleCarrick · 07/10/2016 15:28

Such a relief lynsey. I've been worried about you xx

theAntsareMyFriends · 07/10/2016 15:38

badger that's fantastic news and a lovely picture of little blob.

lynsey you must be so relieved. Hope you are able to relax a bit after that drama
