Your one heck of a girl new shoes, taking the jabs in your stride, well done, and I totally support you getting your scan sat, I think it's the right move xxx

jpeg28 · 06/10/2016 14:23

Thanks so much for the lovely thoughts! Baby was wriggling away nicely and I've attached a little pic!

Lynsey hope all went well today .

JPEG that's amazing your so lucky ❤️❤️ Looks like a boy! lol
Window to the womb are doing a deal for £55 for a gender scan with a 4d sneak peek xx

theAntsareMyFriends · 06/10/2016 14:47

jpeg congratulations on the scan and what a lovely picture. I hope you can relax a bit and enjoy knowing you've got a little wriggler growing away happily inside.

As an aside - I think the 12 week scan picture is definitely the best one because you can see the whole baby and it looks so sweet. My 20week scan picture with DS just shows 2 legs and a willy so defiantly not as cute.

jpeg28 · 06/10/2016 14:51

Do you really think boy bec?! My OH would be so happy!! Don't think we are going to find out... I sort of want the surprise for the first one!

XxBecxX · 06/10/2016 15:01

Omg Jpegs I can't believe your not gunna find out not knowing would KILL ME!!
Lol
My sister had her fourth and didn't find out as she did with the first 3 and she found it very hard for getting prepared, she didn't have a pram or crib ready or anything as she wanted pink or blue lol
That to me would be too hard lol

XxBecxX · 06/10/2016 15:04

I think there are so many surprises when you have a baby, what colour eyes, what colour hair, who does he look like, how much he will weigh!
Arrrr it's all just too exciting 😍

jpeg28 · 06/10/2016 15:20

That's true. . It's all a surprise! I don't think I'll find it hard with buying stuff as I quite like gender neutral stuff anyway... who knows we may change our mind!

Just told the head teacher and deputy, it's all starting to feel so real now!!

purpleviolet1 · 06/10/2016 15:40

Just wanted to say congratulations JPEG!!!

Sorry Lindsay, hope you get some answers soon.

Nothing much to report here, still getting the brown discharge/ spotting on and off. Seems to be present for a few days and then maybe a day or two with nothing and then back to brown. 15 weeks tomorrow, all being well. Got one of those angel dopplers and it's definitely helping my anxiety so far.

Someone mentioned it could be a low lying placenta but it would be a bit early to diagnose just yet, does anyone know when they would be able to diagnose it?

Also having that terrible pelvic girdle pain Sad

Whatsername17 · 06/10/2016 16:02

Mine was found to be low lying at 16 weeks at my private scan and confirmed at my 20 week scan. Got another scan at 32 weeks to see if it's moved. Congratulations jpeg! We didn't find out baby's sex with our first dd. Only did this time because dd wanted to know. It's like lovely both ways to be honest! Helps if you aren't bothered about buying things in pink or blue.

XxBecxX · 06/10/2016 17:01

Hey purple I've been thinking about you!
I heard something about some women having the brown discharge because of their hormones, the added amount from carrying a boy I think it was, google it see it you can find it.
I must be a real stinger having got past the 'danger zone' so to speak and still have those nervy worries everyday still, I do think about you xx
Low lying placentas are causers of lots of minor issues and they usually rectify themselves I think by 24 weeks as I believe the womb should have grown sufficiently for it to be in a different location then the start.

Pelvic pain and I are old foes, tho it seems that it's now more widely recognised as my MW told me lots of good tips as she saw in my notes that I suffered quite badly with it previously.
Nice strong leggings help, they gave me a little bit or support and then the belt and also good knickers!

purpleviolet1 · 06/10/2016 17:08

Bless you both, thank you
For sharing. I had an appt with physio as the midwife mentioned getting a support belt, especially as my core muscles aren't what they should be with having the major abdominal surgery some time ago. The physio said that it probably wouldn't be a good idea since I am having the spotting just now but something we could look at later. She was going to book me in for another appt to go over some exercises and stretches etc to help in the meantime.

DirtyDancing · 06/10/2016 17:49

Oh jpeg I have been thinking about you. Beautiful picture!!

Wow!

My scan is tomorrow.. 1.30pm. I am not sure I will sleep tonight

jpeg28 · 06/10/2016 18:02

Thanks Dirty! Good luck for yours tomorrow!

purple been thinking of you... I hope the spotting stops, even though I'm sure is completely ok... just for your own peace of mind.

XxBecxX · 06/10/2016 18:34

Eeek dirty, I wouldn't be able to sleep either if it was mine tomoz, nerves and excitedness, dunno what I'm saying coz I can't seem to sleep at all anyway lol
I've gone a bit mad in my sleep deprived state lol
Was up at 12.30 last nite and I just couldn't seem to get into a deep sleep, I just kept abruptly waking up, pants isn't the word 😒

MoonlightMojitos · 06/10/2016 18:57

Hey ladies, just trying to catch up! I'm 5 weeks today (yay!). Still not feeling anything yet except ravenously hungry today! Not sure if that's just because I'm finally getting over my cold at last and my hunger is returning.

lynsey hope everything went well today for you?

Congrats on the scan jpeg!!! How lovely. And glad you shared the news with a few people.

theants 😂 this made me lol!

I can't wait to have a scan and see the bean for the first time. Feels like forever waiting.

Good luck for tomorrow dirtydancing

That's so great the MW did that for you blossom! Won't be long and you'll see the heartbeat on your scan!

MoonlightMojitos · 06/10/2016 21:05

blossom mc last time was at 7 weeks so I'm going to wait it out until then and then book one asap!

LynseyH · 06/10/2016 21:48

Evening all, congratulations on a great scan jpeg and good luck for tomorrow dancing.

Sorry I'm not catching up properly but today has been a tough one. Ultrasounds showed blood clots in both legs, chest x ray was clear and back again tomorrow morning for a CT scan which needs me to be injected with dye for my lungs to be checked. The clexane is a must and thank god I have them as the doctor very kindly (but bluntly) told me my life is on the line... I didn't cry or panic believe it or not! Feeling very out of my depth with this and like I'm a ticking time bomb but very grateful i got checked out.

Baby is fine and has been giving me lots of reassuring wriggles and kicks today, scanner man had a sneaky peak at her and without me asking, confirmed she is a girly!
It gave me something to smile at in all of this hideous news.
I hope all you ladies are having an easier time of it!!

Oh God lynsey I'm sorry you're having such an awful time but thankfully you've got answers and they can sort you out. Can't imagine how you managed to stay so calm, well done. So glad baby is ok and hope everything goes ok tomorrow for you xx

LynseyH · 06/10/2016 21:55

Thank you! I think I was just aware if I cried, I had no one with me! Partner has to care for the boys and family are an hour away. Dad is almost sitting on his car keys though so I know if I need support I'll have it. One step at a time right now.
