Hello ladies, wondering if I can join you?

Got my third BFP on Saturday. Have been TTC#1 for 2 years. Had my first MMC July 2015 and second January of this year.

So knicker checking has begun in ernest. I keep swinging between telling myself it is a new pregnancy and there's no reason why it shouldn't go ok this time and being convinced it has gone wrong already.

I've got a partial bicornate uterus with a septum which puts me at increased risk of second trimester miscarriage and premature labour. Not sure how I'm ever going to relax! It feels like time is going so slowly!

Think I can self refer for an early scan so will plan to go at around 8 weeks. If not will pay for a private one.

I've already found reading through the old posts on here very helpful.

HighHopes16 · 10/11/2016 06:32

Yes I'm still lurking moonlight.
I'm just really struggling with the nausea at the moment, my life currently involves sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day, trying to deal with spreadsheets that make me dizzy, power walking to the toilet a few times a day (cause running might give the game away!) Then as soon as I get home I lie on the sofa, wait for DH to rustle something up for dinner (whilst holding my nose cause all smells make me gag!) then an early night! Weekends are a right off too! Hope it gets better soon.

HighHopes16 · 10/11/2016 06:38

I'm just counting down the days till my early scan (12 to go) as dying to see that everything's ok in there!

purpleviolet1 · 10/11/2016 07:56

Flourishing just wanted to say massive congratulations! Smile makes it all worthwhile zzz

XxBecxX · 10/11/2016 08:40

Arr flourishing that's the best news!! Pics when you can my lovely xxxx

Sah1987 · 10/11/2016 10:08

Emily86, you're more than welcome. Everyone is at different stages, but it helps to talk, everyone here has been through it, but all our experiences are different, so you get a lot of different opinions!

Congratulations! Flowers

jpeg28 · 10/11/2016 18:35

Appointment was a waste of time really luckyinoctober... she didn't listen to heartbeat or check my bump! Feel in limbo until the 20 week scan. Two weeks on Monday so not too bad!!

Flourishing so so happy to hear your news!! Congrats!!!

Welcome emily! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! I still knicker check every time and I'm 17+2 now!

Had some funny stares from students today... think my tummy is starting to be a bit obvious! I really want to hold on until after the 20 week scan but I'm not sure I'll make it!!

Alb1 · 10/11/2016 20:00

flourishing that's lovely news congratulations

jpeg they don't routinely listen to the heartbeat around here at any stage as there not allowed to, suppose to encourage us to focus on movements apparently, but they happily listen in if you request them to so it may be the same in your area.

INeedNewShoes · 10/11/2016 20:06

Hoping that my midwife will listen for the heartbeat at my 16-week appointment is the only thing stopping me booking a reassurance scan. I do hope I can persuade her to!

I got my combined test results back today and they were all low risk so that's one thing less to worry about for me.

I have suddenly ballooned! It's flab more than bump though Blush. I could only just do my jeans up this morning!

Hope everyone's ok this evening Smile

LynseyH · 10/11/2016 22:18

Hi all. Great to see everyone is doing well. Congratulations on your new arrival flourishing!
I'm over the sickness bug thank goodness and kids passed the 48hr mark so are all back to school too. I still feel sickly but it is exactly like when I had morning sickness/nausea. I'm so hoping I'm not gonna feel sick until I give birth :-/ apparently there is a hormone surge around 26 weeks so could be that? I'm 27 weeks tomorrow (wow!!)
Has anyone noticed a numbness to fingers or thumbs??
My thumb (left hand) seems to be twitching but is numb too, it almost has a little life of its own right now.
I'll ask the midwife tomorrow as due to see her to discuss the home birth. Bit scared but excited too!
Did a bit more shopping today, sleepsuits, vests, bibs etc. Mostly essentials. I bought our first little pack of nappies too! Keep having these strange little moments where I think "I'm having a little baby girl!" And it all feels surreal. Very tired after a really busy day (that has left me feeling like I've excercised on every piece of gym equipment available) so I'm off to bed. Hopefully the warmth will loosen me up again!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all okay! Good luck with your scan Purple! I have my next one in 12 days to see how my placenta is lying. I'm 30 weeks today! I can't actually believe it. It feels like such a milestone but as I get further and closer I just feel more and more anxious about what could go wrong. I'm trying to be proactive though. I've packed mine and the baby's hospital bags. I've packed dd an overnight bag. I ended up buying dd a couple of pairs of Pyjamas and two cheap outfits so that I don't have to take any of her normal clothes out of action. I bought a couple of pairs of Pyjama bottoms in the sale and a couple of black vest tops to go with them for myself to take to hospital. I had a voucher for matalan so it ended up not being too expensive to buy everything we all needed. I got the baby a couple of neutral gros too. I love white on a newborn anyway, but on the off chance that two scans have it wrong I decided to make sure there is something I could put the baby in incase she turns out to be a boy. Dh and his dad are fitting our new floor downstairs this weekend. We have an open plan living room, dining room and conservatory so it's quite a big space. Dd and I are going to camp out at my mums! After that, I need to face my anxiety and do the baby's room. It literally is the last job on the list! Anyway? I'm rambling! Glad you are feeling better Lynsey and thinking of every one else!

jpeg28 · 11/11/2016 09:28

Glad you're feeling better Lynsey.

Whatser 30 weeks is so close!! How exciting!!

Good luck today purple, thinking of you.

I'm off on a conference today for the whole weekend Angry it will be really good, but means I have no weekend and don't get back until late Monday night. The straight back to work for a mock-ofsted inspection and year 11 parents eve!! Think next week will kill me!
17+3 today... belly seems bigger but still no movement.

Hope everyone's ok

XxBecxX · 11/11/2016 13:03

Hey Jpeg my Doppler has been my absolute strength since my 12week scan, I listen in about once a week, hear his little heartbeat then I'm ok.
I don't know how else I would have been able to cope, I'm still not feeling any movements that I can say are definite, I'm nearly 17 and I think I was definetly feeling more with the last baby, the scanner did say the baby was tucked up using the placenta as a blanket so maybe that's why.
Fab news on being 30weeks watser, that's an amazing milestone.
My midwife did listen to the heart beat at my 16 week appointment, I can't understand why they wouldn't do it routinely xxx

theAntsareMyFriends · 11/11/2016 13:05

Glad you are feeling better Lynsey and just think you've got it out of the way and hopefully won't get another bug.

whatser 30 weeks does sound like such a milestone. Only 10 weeks left. Hope the flooring goes well. I'm impressed with white on a newborn. We are a bit of a messy family and I never separate colours when washing so everything white usually ends up grey and stained.

I've got my 16 weeks appointment next week and was really hoping they would listen to the heartbeat. I can't really see the point otherwise. I've got a doppler which is amazing and keeps me going but it would still be nice to get a professional to listen to it too.

Due date today. I actually feel ok. Hope everyone is well too.

theAntsareMyFriends · 11/11/2016 13:53

bec x-post regarding the doppler. They are amazing. I got mine on ebay as didn't really know if I'd use one but if it broke I'd go out and buy a new one I love it so much.

I've started getting pops which I think are little movements but its so hard to tell and they are very intermittent. Can't wait for the full stomach moving rolls that you get in later pregnancy.

XxBecxX · 11/11/2016 14:49

Arrr ants me too I can't wait for those xxx😍😍

emily86 · 11/11/2016 16:13

Thanks for the welcome ladies. Glad to hear you are all progressing well.

I'm desperate for some pregnancy symptoms, although I know I will probably regret saying that and that they don't necessary mean anything. So far have had vaguely sore boobs and that's it. Keep wondering if I imagined the positive test but I did get DH to double check it.

theAntsareMyFriends · 11/11/2016 16:28

hi emily. It takes me a good few weeks to have any real symptom and with my first pg I didn't have many all the way through. I kept thinking I'd made it up. This time I kept sneaking off and POAS like it was some guilty secret. It made me feel better for about 5minutes! The first bit seems so agonisingly slow but I think taking each day at a time and reminding yourself that today you are pregnant helped me. It really is torture waiting though and I hope you can get through it in the best way for you. We've all been there so know how you feel.

XxBecxX · 11/11/2016 17:53

Laughing about sneaking off to poas, it must be something we all did 🙈 Lol
Welcome Emily, your in good company xx

purpleviolet1 · 11/11/2016 17:59

Thanks ladies all went well thankfully ! Smile

jpeg28 · 11/11/2016 19:02

So pleased it went well for you purple!

I'm in the middle of the most stressful journey ever! Just had to tackle London Victoria (see pic!) with a suitcase... lugging it down the stairs while pregnant was probably not ideal! I got myself so stressed because I thought I would miss my connection but I made it, stuffed a chicken burrito into my face and now I can relax! Unfortunately im desperate for the loo and the train is so packed I'll never get there!! All this just to go to a maths conference Confused
