Tentatively joining if I may?
Got a bfp last weekend so not even 5 weeks yet. Last pregnancy ended in early MC at about 5 weeks, and I have one DC 2 years old.
My logical brain keeps annoying me and trying to devalue the emotional response I have to loosing that pregnancy. I feel slightly guilty because one early MC is so common, and not so bad compare to what some of you have been through, but I find myself so anxious, esp tonight as I'm feeling slightly crampy. I'm just taking each day at a time, first goal six weeks. I think I might book myself a private reassurance scan for around 8 weeks. But ultimately what will be will be..... Just keeping my fingers crossed. So good to hear some positive stories on this thread.

Whatsername17 · 13/10/2016 22:33

I've just started with the watery leakage too. 26 weeks tomorrow. Can't remember if I had it with dd. Worried that it might be my waters or I'm becoming incontinent!

Whatsername17 · 13/10/2016 22:40

Wibble- welcome to the thread! Please don't feel guilty. Why should a loss at 5 weeks before any less traumatic than a loss a few weeks later? I miscarried at 13 weeks. I can't even bring myself to imagine how awful it must be to lose a baby at 20 weeks or at term. But, whether your loss is at 5, 20 or 40 weeks, it is still a loss. There is no judgement here on this thread. Whether you have 10 healthy children already or trying for your first born. Whether your loss is early or late. None of that matters. What matters is we support each other because we all know own what baby loss feels like. Good luck with your pregnancy Flowers

Naschkatze · 14/10/2016 06:32

Thank you Whatser and Newshoes. I can still feel baby moving around so trying not to worry about it but it's a bit disconcerting!

Congratulations Purplefairy, glad it went well.

Welcome Wibble, you're in a good place.

jpeg28 · 14/10/2016 06:47

That's great purplefairy that scan went well! I had a private scan at 7 weeks for piece of mind!!

Welcome wibble and congrats. I felt the exact same way as you. One MC at 7 weeks which I know is so common but I was still anxious I would have another one. I bled from week 5-8 as well with this pregnancy so I was convinced I was having another MC but all is fine now at 13+3! I paid £100 for a private scan and I'm so glad I did! You should not feel guilty at all, any loss is a loss. I thought that, as so many women lose babies further along or have recurrent MC and I thought I should just shut up about mine at get on with it! But it's still the loss of a baby and still hard. Wish you a happy healthy 9 months!

Bump has popped! Look very fat today and can't do my work trousers up!!

LynseyH · 14/10/2016 07:16

Morning all. How about a round up?! It's been awhile.

23 weeks exactly today!

OP posts:
Naschkatze · 14/10/2016 09:20

Yes to round up.

21 weeks exactly today!

Netcurtainrummager · 14/10/2016 10:03

11+5 today. Scan on Tuesday... Confused

Alb1 · 14/10/2016 10:04

Welcome wibble sorry about your miscarriage but congratulations on your new pregnancy. I was on here a few years ago after my first miscarriage too, it's a great place to get some much needed reassurance Smile

Has anyone downloaded the ovia pregnancy app? I got it yesterday and it's so cute, shows you the actual size of your babies hand on a scale and you can switch the size of fruit analogy to toys, bakery or animals, I was surprisingly pleased with it!

4+4 today

Alb1 · 14/10/2016 10:08

Oh also, cramps always ramped up early second trimester for me!

And leaking feeling also normal, I had absolutely loads of watery discharge that didn't really smell of anything in both full term pregnancies, it's all normal I think

purpleviolet1 · 14/10/2016 10:27

16 weeks today Smile had a scan couple days ago and all seems ok. Not sure whether to use free private scan at 18 weeks or at 22-24 weeks. I'll have the 20 week scan as usual. Any advice?

purpleviolet1 · 14/10/2016 11:29

All being well ofcourse... also had some watery discharge yesterday which got me bit worried it was leaking ..

Alb1 · 14/10/2016 11:34

Got a blood tests done in the end and just got the result and it was 191, that was roughly 4+3 or 16dpo, not sure if that sounds a bit low Confused

Naschkatze · 14/10/2016 11:47

Glad it's not just me worrying! Thanks all.

theAntsareMyFriends · 14/10/2016 12:37

11+5 today too. Scan on Wednesday. Not dealing all that well with the waiting game at the moment.

INeedNewShoes · 14/10/2016 12:37

10+2 today.

Hospital scanned me yesterday ('high-risk' pregnancy due to three different blood weirdnesses so under consultant care) and baby still ok and measuring exactly the right number of days to tally with when I conceived.

Next scan is my 12 week & nuchal on the 27th so not too long to wait for the next dose of reassurance (I hope!).

MoonlightMojitos · 14/10/2016 12:53

Congrats on the scan purplefairy! If you have the money for 2 private scans then maybe go for it if you think it would help but you might end up getting the dating scan through early? I'd definitely book the 8 week one then see how it goes for now maybe?

Welcome wibble :). Like others have said do not feel bad for worrying or what you've been through, a loss is a loss and it's heartbreaking no matter what stage you're at. You're in the right place here, lots of lovely knowledgable ladies.

Congrats newshoes that's very reassuring :)

alb I live the ovia app, my bean is currently a blueberry lol.

I'm 6+1 today. Mc last time at 6+4 so got an anxious week ahead. I thought I was 7 weeks but just recalculated by when I actually ovd. I'm feeling reassured by the scan I had Sunday though and I'm feeling a lot more sick this time so taking that as a good sign. Trying to be positive!

MoonlightMojitos · 14/10/2016 12:55

(Thought I was 7 when I mc last time but was 6+4) I know I'm 6+1 today as they dated me 5+3 on Sunday.

jpeg28 · 14/10/2016 13:15

13+3 today. Grin

alb I love the ovia app! Thanks for the advice about cramps. Makes me feel better... cramps have stopped today but had a ton of CM!!
Also my doctor said to me early on that your hcg was only a measure to see how much it rises not what the actual value is, are they doing it again in a few days?

Alb1 · 14/10/2016 14:59

jpeg no there not so I only have the 1 test to go on Sad I've read the cb conception indicator tests need over 200 to show 2-3 weeks so I'm going to wait until Sunday and then do my other one of those, if hcg was 191 yesterday lunch time it should deff show 2-3 weeks by Sunday! I had just bulk ordered 30 ICs and several digital tests the day before I got my bfp so I'm probably not going to stop the testing for a while either as I have no self control and I'm swimming in pregnancy tests Blush

Whatsername17 · 14/10/2016 16:31

Hope everyone is OK. 26 weeks exactly today. I feel like a whale too. I hate myself for feeling down about my blimp like shape because I'm so grateful to be pregnant. I think I'm hormonal.

Wibblewobble100 · 14/10/2016 17:52

Thanks for the lovely welcome ladies... It's so nice to know I'm not completely barmy, and obviously there is lots of hop as many of you have shown!
4+5 today. Last MC at 5 weeks exactly. I too have aCB digital burning a whole in the bathroom drawer. I'm trying to decide whether to use it tomorrow and hopefully get a 2-3 or wait til min or tues for a 3+. I'm not buying anymore after this one, honest!

MoonlightMojitos · 14/10/2016 17:58

Wibble just an FYI I wouldn't worry about the digitals too much. I did one last Thursday (5 weeks exactly) hoping for a 3+ and still got a 2-3 but had an early scan 3 days later on Sunday and there was a baby with a heartbeat already! So don't trust them!

INeedNewShoes · 14/10/2016 18:04

And a word on the internet cheapies (one-step) - even a week after I got a BFP on an FRER the cheapies were still showing what I would consider to be a faint line. They take ages to go dark!

Wibblewobble100 · 14/10/2016 18:14

Thanks moonlight. I know they're not spot on. I think as long as I don't get a 1-2 I'd be happy. My biggest fear is probably a MMC hence the urge for an early reassurance scan as well.
