Hello ladies. I tried to post last night but it was playing up and wouldn't let me type anything!

Wanted to just say hope all is well with you jpeg and that the bleed was just a one off.

Hello newbies. Your in the right place for support, sorry this is the thread you need though.

Glad many of you are doing well :-)

I'm (hopefully) on the mend. Not had to take any painkillers today so fingers crossed I'm through the worst. Pleurisy really does suck!
Still want my bed a lot and properly resigned to the idea that I'm going to spend this pregnancy tired, it's a small price to pay for my little wriggler though.
Can imagine all the teachers are very much looking forward to half term, I'm just a parent and I can't wait!

lynsey glad you're doing better. Hope you're able to rest lots! And yes... j can't wait for half term!! We still have one more week... I cannot wait!

XxBecxX · 12/10/2016 19:14

lol jpeg, I had a very peculiar dream last nite that I gave birth on my bed and I picked the baby up from in between my legs and he was a he and he was the image of my little boy, then today watching the baby boxing on the screen just makes me think even more that's it's a boy lol
Every time I've had a baby I have gotten what I would of liked to have the most, so far it's been BGBGB so I did want a girl to even things out but there's no way that the pattern would run that well 6 times in a row lol
I'll know soon enough as my belly gets hairy when I carry boys 😂😂😂

Welcome newbies, and I'm made up your feeling better Lyns xx

MoonlightMojitos · 12/10/2016 19:24

Evening ladies, back from my mini-break and just trying to catch up.

Sorry about your scare jpeg I hope you're OK today.

lynsey glad you're on the mend. What a rough time you've been through! Hope dp is taking care of you. You definately deserve your bed!

bec amazing! Glad everything went ok. Do you think you can relax a bit more now? I'm wondering when the worry will go. I know it won't completely but is there a point you start to relax a bit? Ooh it'll be interesting to see if it's a boy!

MoonlightMojitos · 12/10/2016 19:26

Oh, and welcome alb, shine and lithica! Sorry you're all here but it's been really good for me already so you're in the right place for some support from lovely ladies!

Whatsername17 · 12/10/2016 19:32

Congratulations Bec! Your details are on the scan pictures though - you might want to ask me to remove? Fab pic! Thinking of you jpeg and all of the others going through the horrendous early pregnancy wait. Glad to hear you are on the mend Lynsey! I'm almost 26 weeks and I really feel like over bonded with my bump now. DH recorded her heartbeat tonight which was lovely. Then we watched old videos of dd. I can't believe I get to do it all again!Smile

Whatsername17 · 12/10/2016 19:35

Mn not me!

shinebright14 · 12/10/2016 20:19

Becx picture looks great I'm so happy everything is going well.

Moonlight hope you enjoyed you break and everything is going smoothly for you.

Ladies I would really like your opinions .
Like I said on my last comment after seeing the sac one of the doctors at EPU gave me a leaflet and asked me if I would like to take part in a research, they're are looking for women early in their pregnancy who hair mcs previously. After reading the leaflet and doctor answering few questions I decided to take part.

She explained that I will be given capsules to insert in the vagina two capsules twice daily till 16weeks.
She also explained that a computer randomly selects who gets a placebo capsules and who gets the progesterone capsules so i or the doctor have no idea if the capsules I got today are the fake ones or the really thing.

My question is would you guys take part in something like that?i was sure when I was at the EPU but now inserting capsules in my vagina doesn't sound so good anymore.

Netcurtainrummager · 12/10/2016 20:29

Shine, don't know if they are the same but I use cyclogest progesterone pessaries as prescribed by my consultant. Not all that pleasant, but certainly safe - they are also used in ivf treatment to establish pregnancy.

LynseyH · 12/10/2016 20:35

Thank you ladies :-)
shine I was offered the same thing you have been in my last pregnancy. I turned it down as I didn't want to mess with nature in that way. I'm not at all sure about all the facts and it was simply a 'on the spot decision'.
You have to do what feels right for you. If your unsure then take that into account when weighing it up.

It's a tough one but as far as I'm aware, it doesn't pose a risk so I don't think you'd be any worse off if you do go ahead. Your body, your choice x

shinebright14 · 12/10/2016 21:06

Netcurtain,I think they might be the same. How do you find them? Do they melt and leak?and how does it feel? Sorry about all the questions Smile

Badgerbird · 12/10/2016 22:20

Yay bec! Great to see. I hope you sleep well tonight :)

shine I'm on 2 x 400mg cyclogest per day and have been finding them fine. I looked online for tips on using and settled on (maybe tmi!) putting them in front at night (not much seepage as laying down) and back (coconut oil for lube) for daytime as no mess. I also remember to not put in front if going to dtd! Shock Sorry if that was too much for some people but I know I found the info useful as wasn't sure what to do & no one to ask. Also keep panty liners and feminine wipes in bag to stay extra fresh if needed. I'm not sure if I have any bad side effects as I believe they are like pregnancy symptoms anyway?! Anyway hope that helps a little and you just have to do what's best for you :)

LynseyH · 13/10/2016 07:18

So sorry I didn't catch up properly yesterday...
Congratulations xxbec on a happy scan! I think your having a boy too!

Thanks girlies xxx
Funny because are youngest daughter is an absolute little witch and she decided to be a drama queen today and as my husband was on his way out the door he looked at me and said blue blue blue lol I don't think he could handle another daughter 😂😂😂

shinebright14 · 13/10/2016 09:14

Badger thank you so much that helps a lot Flowers

Netcurtainrummager · 13/10/2016 09:22

My experience is the same as Badgers, I do find they can slightly irritate so I alternate from and back and use liners to keep clean and comfy. Difficult to distinguish symptoms from pregnancy ones - I've had obs flare ups and bloating, but that could have happened anyway. My thinking was as long as it's a low risk, low side effect intervention I'm happy to try it. I felt differently about steroids and have decided not to take my chances ves without those this time as the side effects were horrible for me, and they have higher risks. Hope you come to a decision which works for you.

shinebright14 · 13/10/2016 11:43

Hi ladies thank you, I decided I go ahead with them I guess I have nothing to lose. I put them in the frontBlush so I will see how it goes.

shinebright14 · 13/10/2016 11:45

Netcurtain & badger do you capsules look like these.

Staying posifrickentive- Thread 12 for ladies pg after mc
Netcurtainrummager · 13/10/2016 17:43

No, mine are white bullet shaped things about an inch long.

jpeg28 · 13/10/2016 17:59

Can I ask all of you 2nd and 3rd trimester ladies... do you remember when you were 13/14 weeks... did you experience crampy sort of feelings? I keep getting twinges, off cramps or dull aches. Nothing uncomfortable or painful at all, but noticeable.

Naschkatze · 13/10/2016 19:26

Jpeg Yes, I felt lots of twinges etc. Nothing major and I just put it down to moving and stretching.

Can I add and ask about my own current worry (probably irrational)? How would I know if my waters were slowly leaking? TMI but I use panty liners and there seems to be a lot of fluid/discharge in the last few weeks. Blush
They would have said if there wasn't enough fluid on the scan wouldn't they?!
Anyone with DC already, does it sound normal at this stage?
I'd like to add this has probably come from watching an episode of 'Ambulance' earlier in the week where a baby was lost at 21 weeks.

Whatsername17 · 13/10/2016 20:42

Lots of cramps at 12/13 weeks. It's stretching x

INeedNewShoes · 13/10/2016 20:56

Naschkatze - I've been leaky too. Keep finding a watery liquid in my knickers. GP said that's totally normal! (I'm 10 weeks).

Purplefairy21 · 13/10/2016 21:39

Scan went well for been so early. Mini jelly bean with a heartbeat. As I'd estimated that nhs scan would be 7/8 weeks I am now wondering if Im been unreasonable to pay for 2 private scans at 8 and 10 weeks just to get through this horrible first trimester.
