Anyone due February 2005?

Blimey. I've been lurking around mumsnet for a few months while ttc, but have only posted a couple of times. Didn't expect to be the one starting this thread!

Got a BFP yesterday (in the loo at work - classy!) and another one this morning.

According to fertility friend the due date is 9th feb.

It'll be our first, and we're both a bit shell-shocked. But happy, I think!

Is anyone else due in feb? I could really do with someone to compare notes with. I'm dying to tell my friends and family, but feel that we should leave it a few weeks, really..

Anyway ? hello everybody!

Blimey from me too. Did a test yesterday and have due date of Feb 13. Like you, am not saying anything to people for a while yet. Mixture of excitement and what the hell have I done.

footstep · 08/06/2004 13:27

Hello keepingquiet (I hope you don't mind the abbreviation)

Congratulations!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms? How does your dh/dp feel about it?

I know what you mean about the mix of emotions. It seemed like quite a nice idea in abstract, but I'm absolutely petrified now. Poor dh is torn between being delighted and total panic.

Many congratulations to you both!

(Just popped in from the January thread.)

beansprout · 08/06/2004 13:33

Oh fab! I love a new "due" thread! Congratulations to you both!!
Hope you are both feeling ok.

smellymelly · 08/06/2004 13:41

Fantastic - about time we got a Feb 05 thread..

Congratulations to you both, and to the rest that will hopefully join soon..

(I'm also from the Jan thread)

Tinker · 08/06/2004 13:53

Oh bugger it, I'll have to come clean, can't keep with changing names! I'm keeping quite.

Thanks for good wishes everyone.

footstep - think we're both happy but in a bit of a state of shock. This has happened on 2nd month of ttc and since I'm an old bird of 39 thought it might take a bit longer. He called me a freak .

Symptoms so far seem to be extreme weepiness and nostalgia. Thought I felt sick before but since I didn't yesterday when I didn't know, reckon it's psychosomatic.

Still think I'm making this up a bit. How are you feeling? Symtoms?

I might not post on here too much for a bit - feels a bit too early, still think anything might happen - hope that doesn't sound morbid. But I will be reading it.

Tinker · 08/06/2004 13:53

keepingquiet even!

Janh · 08/06/2004 13:55

I just had to count on my fingers when I saw Feb in the heading! Congratulations to all of you - Tinker, what an adventure! XXX

Congrats Tinker & Footstep - knew someone would start this thread sooner or later. Best of luck x

Azure · 08/06/2004 16:34

Many congratulations!

footstep · 08/06/2004 17:20

Thanks for the congrats everyone

I know what you mean Tinker. It is very early days - I'm trying to keep the risks in perspective etc (grimly trawling the web for miscarriage stats this morning). But I feel that if i'm going to hold off telling my friends and family then I'm going to have to vent somewhere..

This doesn't seem real at all. I did the extra test this morning because I wasn't convinced I hadn't done something wrong yesterday. Two blue lines though.. I'm really scared, to be honest. I have so many 'what if..?'s running through my head. In some ways its not good timing, and I'm worried about the effect it'll have on dh and our relationship. I like my life how it is! argh!

On the other hand - the symptoms seem real enough! When people say 'breast tenderness' this is not what i imagined. It feels like my boobs have been filled with hot gravel. I had an ice pack on them last night - is this normal at 4weeks? It surely can't get worse?

Have just had an email from dh about tax credit entitlement - awwww - he's being all bread-winner-y - how sweet!

Knew I'd come back to this. Thanks again everyone.

pamina - yes, think that's why I'm weepy with nostalgia

Tinker · 08/06/2004 17:23

footstep - yes, know what you mean, had to keep re-reading the instructions - and this isn't my first.

Tinker · 09/06/2004 12:07

How are you feeling today footstep?

footstep · 09/06/2004 13:49

feeling ok this morning, thanks Tinker. Had big cry/panic with dh last night which has left us both feeling much better.

I can't stop bursting into tears though - was watching 'No going back' last night and blubbed away because the family had to give a lost puppy back ot its owners. boo-hoo!

How are you?

Wow! A Feb 05 thread already! Congrats to everyone! I'm 11 weeks pregnant now, think I'm just coming out of the morning sickness/tiredness bit.......hope it goes quickly for everyone!!

Tinker · 09/06/2004 15:09

Hi footstep - yes much crying and panicking too on my part. Felt my life was just getting easier - money problems easing, daughter is 7 now so good at occupying herself, can afford holidays etc and now that's going to all go on hold for a few years. But I knew that already! Just fear of the unknown I guess - or the known

WideWebWitch · 09/06/2004 16:20

Tinks my love, just popped in here to say congratulations. I know those feelings - with an older one life is just getting easier etc but it is still fab having a baby again, ime it's 10 times easier the second time around. And you won't be on your own this time and your daughter will love having a sibling, so just wanted to say don't panic, it'll be OK if my experience is anything to go by How lovely! Ah, Feb 13th was my Dad's birthday. Maybe you'll have a valentines day baby?

Tinker · 09/06/2004 16:41

Cheers www

suedonim · 09/06/2004 19:52

Tinker, you rascal, keeping your news hidden away in here!! Congratulations. IKWYM about life getting easier after 7yrs but don't worry - I've done it with 8 and 9yr gaps and it works just fine. Take care.

Tinker · 09/06/2004 19:58

Thanks sue. That's reassuring about the age gap, not that I could have done much about reducing it. Hoping it'll mean less siblng rivalry. Still feels unreal though.

cuppy · 09/06/2004 20:29

Hi everyone - just popped in to say CONGRATULATIONS to you all! I had a Feb 04 baby and I'm sooooooooooo jealous!

Wishing you all healthy, happy pregnancies

Love Cuppy xx

Twink · 09/06/2004 21:04

Congrats Tinker ! Scarey too though I guess.

Looks like it'll be Mumsnet's 10 year reunion bash by the time we manage another lunch

bunny2 · 09/06/2004 21:07

Hooray, I've been waiting for this one to start!

Congratulations to all here
