Hi Girls

We found out on Good Friday that we're expecting our first child and we won't be telling our parents for a few weeks so for now I thought it was worth starting a thread so I've got a place to get excited about all things baby with people due at a similar time - without chewing DH's ear off about it constantly. Bless him he's excited too but I seem to want to talk about nothing else right now which is hard seeing as we're the only ones that know our little secret!

My EDD is 2nd December according to the NHS website which makes me 4+5, and I've got my first doctors appointment this Friday. I understand they won't really do or say a lot but think they'll refer me to the midwife? Or do I do that myself?? Anyway, I'm excited!!!

Hope everyone's feeling good and upbeat, looking forward to some due date buddies to chat to Smile

Hi Berkshire! Have you found transverse really uncomfortable? When baby stretches out it makes my eyes water!
Baby only moved into that position in the last couple of weeks, I've not been offered a scan yet but I'm pretty sure he/she is still in that position and seems comfy there! Have another midwife appointment next week so we'all see. Don't fancy having the doctors trying to turn baby - sounds scary.

I am also getting really scared as due date gets closer. I had a pretty nasty labour first time so that is making me very nervous Confused

Just thinking most of the December babies must be here by now! Hope everyone is well and enjoying life with a new baby. Frances May arrived on Dec 5th and is doing really well. She came the standard way in the end as she flipped out of breech at the very last minute. I still have issues with my BP but otherwise all is well and we are all so in love with her x

Congrats Youngoldmum! Lovely name. I completely forgot about this thread with everything going on. Chloe Grace was born on 24th November and is just perfect. We are so in love. She remained breech throughout and an ECV failed to turn her. They discovered during my elective c section that the cord was a little short so she probably couldn't turn because of it. Hope all you other ladies are doing well. X
