Hi, I'm bored, sat on mumsnet or googling every symptom and trump. I'm 37+4 and it is my third and final. I know I should be enjoying every last kick and lightning bolt to the cervix, just feeling it is quite a big mountain to climb. Dd's were 40+3 and 40+ 6 and this is a boy. How is everyone else doing? WHAT are you doing? I am busy grumping at dh and pinteresting healthy post natal things whilst eating Easter eggs...

Definitely lost any care for what I am wearing! Currently wearing leggings with a hole in the knee and crotch from where I washed them in a wash which inadvertently included a toy truck which caused carnage. Not buying any new clothes now as is a waste. Got some dresses to wear but no tights as similarly not buying new ones of those and all the others are laddered. Haha.

Squaffle · 30/03/2016 09:56

Don't worry IndomitabIe, I wasn't on the March thread but was due on 24th... we can carry on here instead! Am also the last one from my antenatal class; one of the babies is 6 weeks old already!

Della, so glad I'm not the only one going out looking like a jumble sale's reject bin... weird combos mainly consisting of unmatching tracksuit bottoms and hoodies, socks over bottoms of trousers so that they don't cut in to my cankles (tried wearing DPs socks the other day but couldn't wedge the extra material into my Converse). I'm sure I'll bump into someone I know one of these days, but I don't really care!

IndomitabIe · 30/03/2016 10:08

I was due on the 23rd, Squaffle, glad to see you! One of ours was born at 25 weeks, he's about 4 months old already!

LittleTalks · 30/03/2016 10:21

Peppa my DH is going this "any sign" thing too - but it's more like every 5 minutes than every day. Even when I am sat next to him!! I got an email this morning within about half an hour of him arriving at work. I am going to lose my rag with him at some point, though I know he is just excited/anxious.

I am so with you on current sartorial choices. I have squeezed myself into my maternity jeans today in the hope of regaining a modicum of self respect, but I look like a bag lady most days. Its got to the point where some of my maternity leggings are now actually too tight! How can leggings be too tight?!

I am so insanely bored as well. I ticked everything off my to do list about a week ago. I ate out every day last week and went to the cinema twice. I have watched everything on my sky planner. Every corner of the house is spotless. The freezer is rammed with nutritious home cooked meals. And everyone keeps on saying "sleep whilst you can!" but there are only so many naps you can have. Angry (very, very grumpy face).

Chattymummyhere · 30/03/2016 10:24

Baby arrived at 8am I didn't get my Homebirth as the Homebirth team where busy and I was in no posisition for a fight over it. Got to the mat unit at 7am and got straight in the pool where she was delivered.

Fingers crossed for the rest of you.

Whatapavlova · 30/03/2016 10:25

I wasn't on the March thread either Indomitable but was due on Monday. No sign at all and thoroughly fed up. Fingers crossed for everyone!

IndomitabIe · 30/03/2016 10:27

Congratulations Chatty!

Hi What Grin

HappyInL0nd0n · 30/03/2016 10:55

Brilliant news, Chatty - congratulations.

Squaffle · 30/03/2016 11:08

Ah congrats Chatty, lovely news :)

Dellabob123 · 30/03/2016 11:11

Congrats chatty , lovely news.

confusedlilly · 30/03/2016 11:13

Congratulations Chatty not in the slightest bit jealous that babies are being born Blush

Dellabob123 · 30/03/2016 11:16

little you are so organised, I did that first time round and now I'm sitting on my arse thinking about batch cooking as my dh can't cook a tin of beans. But oh the effort, how did you manage.?

And yes to the leggings being tight. Now, my once loose mat leggings hardly reach the top of my bump. I think I've piled on the pounds way more this time....I do keep eating pudding and chocolate though.....

fedupofpeppa · 30/03/2016 11:21

Congratulations Chatty!

Shirkingfromhome · 30/03/2016 11:23

Can I join?

Was due last Wednesday. I went +12 (and was induced) with DS so I think I'm in for the long haul again.

IndomitabIe · 30/03/2016 11:41

Hey shirking, we're due date buddies.

DS was 40+3 so I'm breaking new ground here. Had a bit of bloody show earlier (last time, it was show > contractions in about 5 mins, apparently not this time), but had loads of it for the last week anyway and nothing.

SevenOhTwo · 30/03/2016 12:14

Congrats chatty! Hope it didn't throw you too much having to go to hospital - never heard of hb team being too busy for a hb before! Hope all going well with both of you and back home soon (or already even).

Little - v jealous of your organisation. Nowhere near that here. I always find the people telling you to enjoy your sleep before baby mega annoying - it's not like you can bank sleep for later, or that you can enjoy it more in anticipation of future sleep deprivation.

My bump has definitely lowered today - I have all this space between bump and boobs that wasn't there before. Feels so much better! Never had this with other two that I recall.

emmac3616 · 30/03/2016 12:40

Just been for a sweep at 39wks and doesn't sound too promising (as you'd probably expect a week before due date!) she thinks I'll need another next week... But did say it would help things along... We shall see! I am willing to try anything! Getting leg cramps now?!! Odd!

Good luck to everyone else!

LittleTalks · 30/03/2016 13:09

chatty huge congrats, here's to the first of many thread babies! (Arriving sooner rather than later, you hear me bump?)

Dolly80 · 30/03/2016 14:02

Congratulations chatty. Hopefully you've got the ball rolling and we'll all start giving birth now!

namaste30 · 30/03/2016 14:19

Yay! Chatty! What did you have? Weight? Was all ok? Give us some details!! Hope you are enjoying some lovely cuddles now X

Dellabob123 · 30/03/2016 16:05

Well, I just went for a sweep, which couldn't be done, but she did say that my cervix was central and soft and working towards what it should be doing! After 3 failed sweeps with my first, that was music to my ears. Sounds like Im In the same boat as you emamac

So, heres to more manic bouncing.

InFrance2014 · 30/03/2016 16:11

Another prospective club member here...
37+5, 2nd baby, but she's still sitting very high up as I have a low placenta (which also brings a few worries for PPH risk), awful heartbirn and reflux at night.
Am in France (as per name!), where due dates are actually given at 41 weeks. So no sweeps or anything else until then for me! It's kind of nice to have a bit less mental pressure in a way. Went 41+1 last time, waters broke, and baby arrived less than 6 hours later, so this time could be fast too- hopefully!
Still at work, really wanting some time to relax, last day is Friday thankfully.
Will be watching the thread and hoping for lots of new baby excitement to share!

Shirkingfromhome · 30/03/2016 18:28

hopefully you won't be kept waiting too long

KnitsBakesAndReads · 30/03/2016 18:32

Congratulations chatty, what lovely news. Hope you and your new arrival are both doing well.

Sorry to hear you're suffering with carpal tunnel too della. I hadn't realised how common it is in pregnancy. Mine is also worse at night so I've been waking up with cramp type feelings in my hand. Very frustrating.

I'm definitely at the stage of not caring too much about what my clothes look like. I now consider wearing jeans instead of leggings to be dressing up! When I was buying maternity clothes back at 20ish weeks I had no idea I'd grow out of them before the baby arrived...

You sound so organised little! I went on a bit of a cleaning spree this morning but still could not describe my home as spotless!

Welcome shirking and France.

Quick question from me. I had a MW appointment where she said I'm measuring bigger than expected at this stage. They're sending me for a growth scan but they have no appointments for ages so I just have to call everyday and wait for a cancellation. Should I be worried, or is this pretty common? It's our first baby so I've not got any experience of what's normal at this time in pregnancy.

confusedlilly · 30/03/2016 18:32

Ended up in hospital this afternoon to have movements monitored as I was having a paranoid moment. Everything ok thank god.

They did me a sweep, I'm fully effaced, central cervix and 2cm dilated!! So fingers crossed.

Had it done about 2/3 hours ago and since I have had some pretty strong contractions but irregular so I'm hoping its all heading in the right direction! X
