Hi, I'm bored, sat on mumsnet or googling every symptom and trump. I'm 37+4 and it is my third and final. I know I should be enjoying every last kick and lightning bolt to the cervix, just feeling it is quite a big mountain to climb. Dd's were 40+3 and 40+ 6 and this is a boy. How is everyone else doing? WHAT are you doing? I am busy grumping at dh and pinteresting healthy post natal things whilst eating Easter eggs...

*stopped

LBOCS2 · 14/04/2016 16:23

I'm leaning over my birth ball groaning and getting into funny positions. Labour? Nope. Trapped sciatic nerve. Fucking OW 😡

Everyone keeps telling me I should be on my ball. At the moment my main concern is ever getting off it...

waxweasel · 14/04/2016 16:26

I've been sat on the sofa with my feet up and now everything has stopped 😒 Ugh. I just want this baby out now! I really tried EVERYTHING last night - sex, evening primrose oil, raspberry leaf tea, dates, nipple tweaking while on a birthing ball, AND rubbing my bump with clary sage. And still nothing!

Hope you get somewhere soon lozengeoflove!

InFrance2014 · 14/04/2016 19:28

More BH today, but less than yesterday. However now got an awful bruised area on inside of bump where something hard (foot?) keeps prodding ALL THE TIME. So uncomfortable. Probably she is too, hence doing it all the time!
No idea if engaged or not, but hiccups feel weirdly massive and low down, almost in my groin.
40w tomorrow, got a scan and final obstetrician appointment in 4 days to check placenta position (it was close to cervix but not within 'dodgy' distance).

Feeling excited today to meet this baby, and been refreshing on breastfeeding advice from the brilliant La Leche League book.

thinking of everyone!

Feel shattered. Contractions all day...some as close as 4/5 minutes apart but it's stopped now. Did lots of walking and ate spicy food to help things along not that it has helped. Instead I just want to vomit. Getting pain like I need to poop (sorry tmi) every time a contraction hits...this was exactly what happened when in labour with dd so I really thought this was it. I have absolutely no energy now. Today has taken it out of me...ooh contraction starting as I type

lozengeoflove · 14/04/2016 20:35

Have you called your hospital reebok?

I've just got stuck into a spicy curry. Cramping pains are back.

Sunnybitch · 14/04/2016 21:09

Try prunes girls....did the job for my dsis Grin

Goodluck!

Reebok · 14/04/2016 21:52

Lozenge, fx something happens for you tonight. Yes called them. They said I need to have 3 in 10 minutes so it's a waiting game. So fed up of feeling like this. I don't want to be pregnant anymore.

Thanks for the advice sunny! I've been eating dates like crazy! They help my constipation caused by my sickness drugs and help my nausea.

waxweasel · 14/04/2016 22:12

Oh Reebok that sounds utterly grim. Hope you manage to get some rest tonight and things ramp up soon. It must be bloody knackering, but hopefully once things get properly established it'll then all go really quickly - I have my fingers crossed for you.

Fingers crossed for you too lozenge that this is the start of something x

lozengeoflove · 14/04/2016 22:38

Thank you waxweasel and reebok. Pains getting stronger but not going to get my hopes up this time Sad

Toddler keeps crying uncontrollably, waking up every hour or so. What a fun night this is gearing up to be. Sending you all lots of labour vibes.

Dolly80 · 15/04/2016 16:06

My daughter has arrived!

Was induced at 7pm last night. Contractions began straight away, infrequent and mild. By this morning (apx 9am) was having 3 every 10mins. Taken to delivery suite at 11.20am, 6cm dilated and then gave birth at 11.50am.

Adrenalin beginning to wear off and after this feed I'm planning a well earned nap!

Sunnybitch · 15/04/2016 17:19

That's what my dsis had reebok so mum told her to eat prunes and she went into labour not long after Grin

Reebok · 15/04/2016 17:50

Thanks wax.

Lozenge hope you managed some rest.

Dolly congrats! That's fab news! Enjoy newborn cuddles.

Lol sunny! I tried the prunes...unfortunately I couldn't keep it down and threw it up.

Another day of irregular contractions. I'm so fed up of being pregnant. Want to be able to bend again, see my feet...stop feeling like crap. I've been vomiting since the end of August. This is just too much now.

Shirkingfromhome · 15/04/2016 17:55

Congratulations Dolly hope you get a little bit of rest!

Reebock Sad hooe you get some movement soon.

Hope everyone else is ok!

blueandgreendots · 15/04/2016 22:04

Can I just share a message I just had "Hi blue Anything happening....twinges or.....whatever.....😉"

I'm 39 weeks today and this has irritated the fuck out of me. Do people really think that you will give then updates on potential labour?! I'll tell you when the baby arrives and until then DON'T FUCKING ASK ME ABOUT IT argh!!!

InFrance2014 · 16/04/2016 12:23

Dolly, congratulations!! Yes, feed, sleep, eat, feed, sleep, eat that's all you need to think about. And cuddles!

Blue you should either go into total TMI detail about discharge/mucus plug consistency or something, or just not respond to anyone and keep them on tenterhooks Wink

Reebok feeling very sorry for this. Nobody gives medals for going without pain relief in labour, so goes the MN saying, but some people should get them for the terrible pregnancy they put up with Sad

waxweasel · 16/04/2016 15:01

Congratulations Dolly!!! Does your lovely girl have a name yet??

Reebok, I'm so sorry it's still dragging on - you must be exhausted. I really hope you get somewhere soon Flowers

Blue - I totally feel your pain! It's so bloody annoying isn't it? Yours is a particularly annoying text, but I am getting fucked off even with the innocuous 'how are you doing?' ones which are clearly just 'any news?' rephrased. Just delete and don't reply - that's what I'm doing 😊

blueandgreendots · 16/04/2016 15:29

Congratulations Dolly on finally checking out of the waiting room! Hope there has been some progress Reebok.

Thanks France and wax for agreeing about the irritation level of that text. The ferocity of my anger is probably totally disproportionate and irrational, but I remember feeling exactly the same way with DD who was born 12 days late. Sigh. Please, please not as long this time.

BigBroIsWatching · 16/04/2016 15:39

Hi there! Currently 39+1 and feeling ok. What's going on?! Is it the calm before the storm?

Earlier on in the pregnancy, I had SPD, not as severe as with my daughter but pain nonetheless. It's vanished?!?

Expecting my third, and expecting to go over as my other 2 were 8 days late. No twinges here, nothing. How is everyone today?

Dellabob123 · 16/04/2016 16:23

So just as I suspected, on the second round of propess today at 40+12. Nothing at all last night.

Got really upset at the hosp as they wanted to keep me in after I'd discussed going home with propess. Hadn't brought bag or dh and burst out in tears as just felt like a complete failure that my body won't go into natural labour. Eventually they agreed. Home now and had permanent tightening since insertion. Feel uncomfortable and a bit loose in the ol bowel area.

Anyone else had the 2 propess insertions before? How did you feel? Did it work for you? I am resigned to this not working and will be staying in tomorrow for prostin and arm. Quite sad. Didn't realise how affected I was by all of this again.

Sorry for glum post, just feel like I've been hit with a brick today by the enormity of it all.

LBOCS2 · 16/04/2016 17:36

I was induced with DD at 38+3, and just had one round of prostin for it. I had an extremely unfavourable cervix the day before, they popped it in at midday, and I had SROM at 10pm that night which put me into established labour naturally. It could be that you just need a little bit of help to get it all kickstarted, you might not need everything done. Good luck :)

lozengeoflove · 19/04/2016 19:14

Big congratulations to dolly. Have any more babies made an appearance?

I was hoping to get a sweep today at 40+2, but no such luck! Baby has popped right out and his head is no longer in my pelvis. Wanted to cry. So many cramps and niggles, and so uncomfortable. Aaaaaaargh!!

LBOCS2 · 19/04/2016 19:30

Another baby! I had DD2 on Sunday at exactly 41wks.

Perfect, textbook delivery, 2hrs start to finish, no painkillers at all, in the water... Then had a massive haemorrhage, lost 1.5l of blood, was transferred as an emergency to theatre and had to have a manual membrane removal under general anaesthetic. We've just got home from hospital and I'm considering going back to bed...

Dolly80 · 19/04/2016 21:49

Blimey LBOC I'm not surprised you're considering going back to bed. Hope you're recovering well, try to take it slowly (easier said than done I know).

I'm in the midst of the newborn bubble. Breastfeeding is a struggle, so we might go down the combi route. Have had some great advice from the infant feeding thread on here, which made me feel less crap about it though.

Good luck to all of you still waiting for your arrivals to come along.

lozengeoflove · 19/04/2016 22:21

Congratulations LBOC and I'm so sorry to hear about the blood loss. Hope you are recovering well.
