Hi, I'm bored, sat on mumsnet or googling every symptom and trump. I'm 37+4 and it is my third and final. I know I should be enjoying every last kick and lightning bolt to the cervix, just feeling it is quite a big mountain to climb. Dd's were 40+3 and 40+ 6 and this is a boy. How is everyone else doing? WHAT are you doing? I am busy grumping at dh and pinteresting healthy post natal things whilst eating Easter eggs...

Had a very similar experience to you crumbly... Had contractions 9.30pm-4.30am but then nodded off for 2 hours and they have come back but much more erratic and far apart, not as intense... Not sure what to do now?!!

lozengeoflove · 09/04/2016 09:08

Congratulations zanny and fedup Flowers what big babies you've both got. Bet they are absolutely gorgeous.

I'm so sorry to hear so many of you are not feeling great. My toddler goes back to her CM for a day on Wedneday and I just hope I can have that day to myself to just sleep. I've not had any break since starting maternity two weeks ago as CM doesn't work during holidays. Honestly, have not stopped and DP at work today doesn't help at all. Just want to sob. This exhaustion is only going to get worse when baby finally arrives.

namaste30 · 09/04/2016 16:38

Woke up this morning feeling different, feel like my bump has got smaller! Having some pressure in my food making me feel like it could be soon... Maybe it is all in my mind!!

Due date today! Mildly suspicious that my waters could be on a slow leak - feels very damp there, but not enough to fill a pad in an hour so far. But maybe I'm just looking for symptoms. Could phone mat assessment I guess.

LBOCS2 · 09/04/2016 17:03

I feel like that too April - I'm just waiting to see what happens with it now. I've had a few twinges and baby has definitely dropped further into my pelvis (although she keeps doing that and coming back out Angry) but nothing concrete. Due date tomorrow...

lozengeoflove · 09/04/2016 18:23

Does anyone have really bad Fanjo aches? It feels like I might split in two each time I move Shock

Howtocatchastar · 09/04/2016 18:28

37+5 here with baby #3.

Baby has been flipping about all over the place today - pushing upwards/downwards. It's the first time I've really felt uncomfortable. Appetite has gone through the roof too and I haven't stopped eating today - I'm wondering whether it's a late growth surge perhaps?

My 1st was born at 40+6 (3 day labour), 2nd born at 39 weeks (induced, intense 6 hour labour). Have no idea at all what's happening with this one?!

Reebok · 09/04/2016 22:42

Congrats zanny and peppa.

Well contractions have continued. They were Awful between 12 and 8pm...even got closer together but ended up dying out. Felt like I needed to go loo the whole time whenever I had a contraction. It was the same during labour with dd so hopefully it's means labour is cloSe. 37+1 today and fed up as I've been experiencing damn contractions in and out of hospital with preterm labour scares since 33 weeks. I was meant be enjoying my maternity leave as I left early but so far I haven't! Spent the last few days chucking up or feeling nauseous too so looks like hyperemesis is Defo flaring up. I can't wait to stop being pregnant.

Howtocatchastar apparently some women experience an increase in appetite and some go the other way like me towards the end. Fx for you!

Howtocatchastar · 10/04/2016 00:47

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction Reebok, albeit slowly and boo to the return of the dreaded sickness :-( Hopefully you haven't got much longer.

Sleep pattern is officially f**ked! Last few nights I've hardly been able to keep my eyes open around 7/8pm - then boom, wide awake in the middle of the night. I remember this from last time though in the week's running up....body getting used to those sleepless nights 💤

crumblybiscuits · 10/04/2016 07:46

Contractions have simpered down to nothing so I assume the sweep was unsuccessful but I've still got loads of loss going on and tomorrow is induction day anyway so either way is not long to go now!

Cantstopsmiling37 · 10/04/2016 09:46

Can I join you ladies? 38+1 here but unlike most I reeeaaaaallllly want baby to stay put for just a wee a bit longer. Am a teacher and just had 2 weeks Easter hols with 2&4yr old at home and its been relentless and such hard work keeping them busy when I can barely walk the length of myself without getting out of breath.
Thankfully they're going back to nursery tomorrow and I start mat leave officially. Can't wait for some quiet and me time!
The other two were born at 39+4 and 40+1 so I thought I'd have ages, but have been losing plug all week so its probably going to be sooner.
Congrats to the ladies who have their snuggly cuddles and good luck to those who are so close..

emmac3616 · 10/04/2016 11:53

Sooo after quite an interesting few days...DD was born this morning at 4.45am! Started contractions 12 hours after my sweep on Friday, they totally stalled by 11pm last night and I was sent home, and woken up by my waters breaking at 3am with a desperate urge to push!!! Hot tail back to hospital, not even time to fill up birthing pool and DD born within the hour at 4.45am... Gas and air on all fours in the birthing suite, 8lbs same as DS was! EXHAUSTED! How is everyone else getting on? Looking forward to hearing of some other arrivals soon!

Good luck everyone!

crumblybiscuits · 10/04/2016 12:01

Congratulations emma! I was hoping the lack of posting meant things were happening for you.
I've had loads of little signs but I'm just focusing on induction tomorrow and getting the house ready. They said they could have broken my waters on Friday and I've been contracting and losing show/plug since so hopefully I've dilated even more and I can skip the pessary full stop. A little bit saddened by the fact that I won't ever go into labour naturally as this is our last baby but trying to stay positive and tell myself I've got the bonus of being able to be super organised.

ComeLuckyApril · 10/04/2016 12:26

Congratulations emma and good luck for tomorrow crumbly!

Nothing happening here except very uncomfortable. 40+1, looking ahead to sweep on Tuesday. DH and me keeping busy painting nursery and batch cooking.

InFrance2014 · 10/04/2016 15:30

Yay, babies all round, wonderful news!!
Emma that's lucky you were able to make it in to hospital in time! Hope you can enjoy some quality newborn time now.
Reebok really hope this means things are getting moving for you, were you early last time too?
Don't feel bad about not starting labour by yourself crumbly, wishing you a great birthing experience however it begins Smile

39+2 today, thankfully parents arriving tomorrow as otherwise childcare options very sketchy.
Am not feeling any twinges, signs etc, just generally more uncomfortable each day, baby still super active, tummy button area still so sore, bad hips etc. I can't remember when I lost plug last time round, think it was a few days/week before waters went, but no sign of either yet! OTOH am epically behind with work, so trying to make the most of the time left!

mlyfok you have problems if you have to troll people wanting/expecting a baby

And to actually sign upto a website to do it is just sad...

namaste30 · 10/04/2016 19:19

cantstopsmiling I absolutely hear you- I have a 5 and 4 year old pair of gorgeous, noisy squabbling girls who are so ready to go back to school- not to mention my dh who is a teacher. I am so excited about 9-12 tomorrow where I get to just.be.quiet!!! I am dreading the school run, and all this is juxtaposed with feeling bored of being heavy, slow and exhausted... Oh wait- another year of that plus much worse I think! How long are your dp's taking off? Mine admitted last night that he hasn't let HR know ( to be fair he was in the middle of promotion interviews) and so he isn't going to get any leave... I said he better be calling in with mental health days for at least the first few because I will surely surely give him some!

My DH is taking two weeks paternity leave, but he has said that he's likely to have to do a bit of checking in at work. His employers have been fully aware of the situation the whole time - it formed part of his negotiations when he was offered a promotion before Christmas - but apparently it caught them on the hop a bit when he said on Friday that I was due this weekend. Oh well!

lozengeoflove · 10/04/2016 21:01

Big congratulations emma Flowers

cantstop - I'm in a very similar position. Also a teacher starting Mat leave tomorrow (officially). Have spent the "holiday" looking my two year old. She goes to CM one day a week and grandparents normally look after her two days per week but they've been away. She goes back to CM on Wednesday Grin

I've just returned from MLU with hideous back pains, tightenings and strong feelings of Fanjo about to fall out. I'm not dilated, cervix is favourable, baby is in LOP position and the examinations were so painful. Second one made me bleed and I'm pretty sure something tore Sad No sign of baby at all. 39 weeks today.

Cantstopsmiling37 · 10/04/2016 21:06

Bugger! Pretty sure waters on slow leak now, they are a bit pink, do i need to ring Matenity Assessment to tell them this or can I bury my head in sand until midwife app tomorrow at noon?
Oh well, exciting!!

lozengeoflove · 10/04/2016 21:20

Yes cantstop get on that phone.

fedupofpeppa · 11/04/2016 06:28

Congratulations Emma. Good luck the rest of you.

crumblybiscuits · 11/04/2016 09:16

Thanks all for well wishes. Heading in at 11 and I'm really bricking it. Trying to focus on a squidgy, lovely baby but it's not happening, all I can think of is my poor fanjo.

lozengeoflove · 11/04/2016 09:39

Good luck crumbly Flowers May the labouring force be with you.
