Hi, I'm bored, sat on mumsnet or googling every symptom and trump. I'm 37+4 and it is my third and final. I know I should be enjoying every last kick and lightning bolt to the cervix, just feeling it is quite a big mountain to climb. Dd's were 40+3 and 40+ 6 and this is a boy. How is everyone else doing? WHAT are you doing? I am busy grumping at dh and pinteresting healthy post natal things whilst eating Easter eggs...

Congrats!

38+2 today and sudden onset of morning sickness this morning following breakfast - felt ok since, a little queasy on and off. Trying not to think it's the slow start of anything, but secretly hoping it is!

LBOCS2 · 13/04/2016 13:58

I've been queasier throughout this pregnancy than last but it has been worse recently - and I can't even blame the baby's position as she's dropped so far that the MW commented on how much space I had under my ribs on Monday!

RE: sweeps, I had one at 38+2 last time around in the hope of getting my cervix 'ready' before induction. Don't know if it helped but my induction was quick. This time around she had a furkle about when I was 40+1, apparently my cervix was soft and starting to efface a bit but not enough for her to get to the membranes so we left it at that - I have another appointment booked for Monday coming.

Have been gardening today but I'm tired now so I'm laying on my sofa. I've put the throw that usually covers it into the wash and I was just thinking that it would be Sod's law for my waters to break while there was nothing to protect it...

blueandgreendots · 13/04/2016 15:35

I'm 38+5 and really fed up. Was up for over an hour in the night with raging heartburn. Can't really relax at home as we have a painter in finishing off downstairs renovations (we had an extension built). So I'm torn as to wanting baby out and wanting a bit more time to get the house straight. DD arrived on 41+5 so I'm expecting to go late again.

So I am. What do u mean wrong thread

waxweasel · 13/04/2016 23:02

Well, I think if you were on the right thread you wouldn't need a test to tell you you were pregnant - at 37+ weeks it would be pretty obvious 😄

Alicia17 · 13/04/2016 23:08

I'm not 37 plus tho

dontcryforme · 13/04/2016 23:08

36+ here so marking thread...!

dontcryforme · 13/04/2016 23:12

36 weeks + here so marking place..,!

Cantstopsmiling37 · 14/04/2016 02:15

Reebok - having 2 under 3 is FAR easier than being pregnant with 2yr old to look after! So you'll be fine - don't worry.

lozengeoflove · 14/04/2016 05:34

I think I'm having a contraction. Or it could just be something like a bad period pain. I don't know. I was induced last time and went from no pain to earth shattering contractions. So, not sure if this is one but it hurts.

Alice congratulations on your pregnancy. Are you new to MN? This is a thread for those of us who are nearly at the end. You might want to go over to your due month thread on the Ante-Natal board.

ComeLuckyApril · 14/04/2016 07:06

40+5, today will be all about trying to bring on labour with the breast pump and doing my best to relax. Hoping to hear from midwife today as she didn't have a 41 week appointment slot available for me and I want another sweep before planned induction at 40+12. No sign of Tuesday's sweep having done a thing.

namaste30 · 14/04/2016 07:12

Think it might be starting for me finally! Had a few pains about 3 and the. Back to sleep, woken with very niggly period pains, going to manage to school run, try to walk the dog and then crack on with it hopefully!! Keep you posted ...

Sounds hopeful namaste. I had a lot of back pain in the night, few irregular contractions and general 'twinge' feelings. Was wondering if it might be happening for me too.

Am due to call hospital re: induction at 10am so suppose it makes no difference, although would be lovely to go into labour spontaneously, even if it is at the last minute!

Dellabob123 · 14/04/2016 08:35

Hi, have been a bit quiet. 40+ 10 and still no signs. Started induction with the pessaries on Monday and after 24 hours and a cervix rummage, nothing.

Decided to delay until Friday as just don't feel ready. Felt very empowered this time around ad felt completely railroaded with dd. I want active where possible and no to the drip if I'm ok. Asked loads of questions and felt great being able to make choices! Last time was so rubbish.

Anyway, went for a long walk yesterday and got my head straight to start it all again on Friday and it will be a positive experience.

Good luck to the other ladies with niggles

Shirkingfromhome · 14/04/2016 09:14

Good for you Della and good luck for Friday (if you make it to then).

Reebok · 14/04/2016 09:51

Contractions have increased since around 4am. 8-10 minutes apart. ParAcetonol not touching pain or hot water bottle. Making me cry sort of pain. Oh is off today so watching dd luckily but he's pissing me off as he's currently sat making popcorn!!

Probably amount to nothing as I've had contractions (not Braxton hicks) since 33 weeks...37+6 today.

InFrance2014 · 14/04/2016 11:36

Cheering you on Reebok!! Crossing fingers this IS it...

InFrance2014 · 14/04/2016 11:40

crossing all digits in fact for Della, Dolly, April, Namaste and anyone else twinging/contracting!
Time for the Baby Tsunami on this thread!

blueandgreendots · 14/04/2016 13:10

Good luck to all starting with contractions, especially those overdue. I had a few Braxton Hicks last night which were a bit painful but I knew they wouldn't turn into anything. Baby is not allowed to arrive until my house is ready and clean!

ComeLuckyApril · 14/04/2016 14:21

Good luck everyone who's contracting :) I've been going at it with the breast pump and I feel mildly achy so I guess maybe it's helping a bit. And just got another sweep booked in for tomorrow morning!

waxweasel · 14/04/2016 15:08

Good luck everyone! Sounds like it's getting promising for a few 😊 And Reebok, I wouldn't worry about having 2 small ones - everyone I've spoken to seems to unanimously say that having a toddler and a newborn is much easier than being heavily pregnant with a toddler. And there are quite a few threads on MN saying the same thing, which I found reassuring! In any case, at least you won't be being sick anymore - that has to be a good thing 😄

I just went for a wander into town, ran some errands, and OMG the fanny daggers. I had to keep sitting down, it just felt like I was going to burst. Got home and there is loads of discharge which could or could not be the plug - I was expecting something more solid and one jelly-like blob, rather than just loads of gunk. So I'm not sure. Hope it's a sign though - parents are arriving tomorrow so it would be fabulous timing on the childcare front!

lozengeoflove · 14/04/2016 16:21

Oooh well done waxweasel impressed with your energy. how handy that your parents are coming over too. Just in time. My mum is arriving at the end of the month and I'm convinced she'll arrive before the baby.

Had loads of pains which have now all stop. Aaaaaagh! This baby is far too cosy. Have even resorted to having sex and nothing! Bah!

Good luck to everyone with niggles and pains. Hope you're getting further than I am.
