Oh it's fine really trixy, though could do without the vomit. Sleep deprivation seems to calm me down. Just go into auto-pilot and am v lucky to have a bit of help in the afternoons at the moment while I recover from the CS, so took DS2 off to have a quiet feed and a snooze in the afternoon. It definitely seems easier the 2nd time around, tummy bugs and all-night feeding and all.

The invalid is in bed and the tiny tot is lying on the sofa listening to DP playing his guitar (well, someone has to )

lollipopz · 28/02/2007 12:41

Hi all thought I'd pop in and check progress!
How are all you pregnant ladies doing? Just a few months to go, can't believe how times flying!
Lo is 9 weeks already!!
BIG CONGRATS anjo so chuffed for you he's a little stunner! If its any consolation, Jack has eventually, in the past week or so got into a sleeping routine and only gets up for one feed now, down side is I have to wake him up in the morning for the school run and he's not a morning baby!! Lol take care xx

Anjo1 · 28/02/2007 14:34

Hey LOLLI!! good to hear from you and that things are settling down ( 9 weeks ? aaarg!!)can't imagine that happening at the moment seeing as we're up about oh , don't know , what feels like all night really !!
TRIXY -BFing is okay , I think , don't really know , I think I'm doing it right, early days yet I'll see how it goes .
Glad things are getting better for you
MIDNIGHT- hows things today ? hope your DS1 is feeling better,I was reading down the thread and LOL at you dictactorial strategy !!!
My DS's middle name is my surname (I'm Ndebele , from Zimbabwe )never been a fan of mums' names getting completely cast aside in the whole child naming process .
It's pronounced
BA-as in Ba-tter(soft B)
LO-as it is
YI-as is Yi-pee!

Vio · 28/02/2007 15:10

hi Anjo & midnight..glad that you two are doing alright. Anjo- lovely name by the way.. we will give our wee one a chinese name too.

midnightexpress · 28/02/2007 15:47

hi there all.

Thanks Anjo. DS1 not too bad, but still off nursery - he's not really eating and just when we think he's better he throws up again. But he's very cheerful patient, so no complaints.

Glad things are going well for you so far - long may it continue! Great mixture of cultures in Aidan's name, and quite agree with you about the abandoning of mum's names. We gave ds1 a family name from my side and gave J my dad's name as a middle name (he died last year when ds1 was v small and I spookily conceived, accidentally, about a week later, so some sort of strange karma at work...).

You won't believe how quickly 9 weeks will come round - I can't believe Jacob is nearly 6 weeks already and as for his big brother...he's just started saying loads of first words - sooooooo cute! Could bore for my country on the subject, but no doubt it isn't nearly so cute when you're not his mum, so will resist the temptation.

weeonion · 28/02/2007 16:37

good afternoon all. anjo - i am not sure if i have added my congrats to you on a little cutie! showed dp the pic last night and he was all agog. it made me laugh that he said he looked intense and wise - so there you go - little aidan is intense and wise at the age of 4 days!

nice to see more folks around - i think we may be getting a few more joining us in the near future - lindy - i know you are lurking!!!!!

not much to report here! 33 weeks today and getting a bit fed up with this game - impatient to get this lo out and underway. prefer not to think about the labour too much! anjo - yours sounded great - but i guess after your waiting you deserved it!

flumppootle · 28/02/2007 18:24
Hmm
Anjo1 · 28/02/2007 18:46

hey WO- yes you did , thank you .Intense and wise eh ? don't know about that , he is ours and you have met me
hows things ? 33 weeks and impatient already tut tut
I think one thing I learned during my (well documented !!)impatient wait is that EDDs are rubbish to be honest cause you focus on the date Sooo much and it makes the waiting somehow worse .Don't know if there's any real logic to that but that's what I felt.Hope you're not feeling too knackered .when do you start your ML so you can stop the crazy commute ?hope it's soon.
oh and try and not think AT ALL about the labour, after Sunday , I can honestly say there is absolutley no point .
Hey Vio - how are you getting on ?hope all is well .
Midnight -your wee patient sounds like a little trooper , I'm sure he'll be better in no time.

weeonion · 28/02/2007 19:15

flump - u ok???

weeonion · 28/02/2007 19:37

anjo - you know my dp has no real expereince with newborns - i think he isnt sure of how to react / what to say about them! god only knows what he will say when he sees ours! if he says she is proud and inspirational or similiar guff instead of cute and beaut - i must be patient.
he has indeed seen u - and he thought u were stunning!!!!

flumppootle · 28/02/2007 19:40

WO

Congratulations on your gorgeous baby Anjo

Loulee · 01/03/2007 09:44

Hey Wee-Onion, meant to say before, not going to arcade fire, hope you enjoy
But would love if Rufus wainwright came back to glasgow - he always seems tobe here when I'm pregnant - and the babe loved it last time!!

Midnight - there's a really horrible bug going round at the mo - both of mine had it (at the same time - pure hell!) and were off for a week. Looks like you're nearly at the otherside.

lazyemma · 01/03/2007 10:22

weeonion - I am GUTTED that I won't be able to go to that gig: unfortunately I missed out on tickets after dithering about the distance I'd have to travel and the amount of time I'd have to stand at 36 weeks preg. I've wanted to see Arcade Fire live for ages. I bet you'll have an awesome time.

Vio · 01/03/2007 12:20

Hi everyone! Anjo i am doing well. thanks.

Like Wo-i am getting a bit fed up waiting!!! will be 33 weeks this sunday and stimes i feel ike i just cant wait any longer!!

weeonion · 01/03/2007 14:24

lazyemma - i sw them last year as well - they were great!

this LO has been to quite a few gigs before it is born, - mogwai, new order, snow patrol, indian summer etc it even has its own cds played to my belly every night (how dp and i have debated the track listing!!) and its "uncles" are still compiling the beans back catalogue.

lazyemma · 01/03/2007 14:58

Mine was at Mogwai too! One of the best gigs I've ever been to. And we were both present and correct at Indian Summer.

TALLULAHBELLE · 01/03/2007 18:08

Hi, first time have checked in all week. So sorry to be at coo's tail but Congrats to ANJO. Love the pic .

Nice to meet you Loulee, see you Sat?
Begemoth, sorry we missed you, where were you and what do you look like? Will look out for you Sat. Will try to let you know what I will be wearing. I have been doing that yoga class for 7 weeks now and still can't remember anything to practise at home. Really need to get busy with the pelvic floor stuff tho or I'm sure I'll regret it later

weeonion · 01/03/2007 18:34

lordy lazyemma - our beans will have the same music taste.....

lollipopz · 02/03/2007 13:32

flumppootle · 04/03/2007 09:54

Can I join you all as a bump that wants to be north of the border?
I live in Wiltshire at the moment but we are moving back to scotland ASAP. We have bought a house just outside Edinburgh and are waiting to sell down here to move.
I am another one due in April with Weeonion and GMM.

midnightexpress · 04/03/2007 12:22

Hi flumppootle and welcome, even if you're not quite up here yet. Sounds as if you're originally from Scotland, from your post though? And congratulations on the imminent (though I guess at this stage it probably doesn't feel imminent) arrival. Is it your 1st?
