Good luck today greedy hope you've not got long to wait x

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 08:23

I gave birth to my youngest on my knees. I was the last one in the room to know the gender!

Amyyy27 · 15/06/2015 08:24

Good luck today greedy hope all goes well! X

Haha onefoot I love how I'm your example Grin I'm sooo pleased we found out, I love being able to say he and him etc, and thinking of our family with a little boy and not just a baby! On the other hand I still understand why people keep it a surprise :)

Tootle10 · 15/06/2015 10:05

Good luck today greedy, hope everything goes well.

Enjoy your holiday genni!

Had my scan at the EPU this morning - could see baby wriggling around and kicking it's legs! Measuring 10 weeks so caught up to where I thought I would be. My dating scan is on 6 July but the EPU offered to see me again, so I'm going back for another scan next Thursday (25 June). Feeling so relieved, starting to believe things might just be ok now.

Don't think we'll find out the sex, like the idea of finding out at the birth and like the idea of buying everything neutral in case we have DC2 at some point! Loving the stories of how you all found out last time.

Amyyy27 · 15/06/2015 10:07

Aww Tootle that's fantastic news! :)

chasingtherainbow · 15/06/2015 10:27

Congratulations tootle! Xxx

Barbiedoll79 · 15/06/2015 12:43

Great news tootle :-) x

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 15:57

Amyy My eldest is 10.5, my scan almost 11 years ago, they weren't great quality and the sonographer wouldn't even hazard a guess so I didn't have a choice. My second - we had 13/14 scans in total and although initially we decided not to ask, temptation was too much! My third - had scans at 20, 26 and 28 weeks and each time was in such an awkward position that they wouldn't even guess. 2/3 didn't know gender, wasn't my choice but I wasn't fussed enough to fork out hundreds for a private scan.

Barbiedoll79 · 15/06/2015 16:14

We wanted to know- we couldn't at 20 week as she had her legs crossed and a hand over the top so we bought a few neutral items and we had a 4d scan booked at 26 weeks when we found out she was a lg :-) then she never wore anything we had bought it was all about pink here :-) x

Amyyy27 · 15/06/2015 16:34

I think its still risky nowadays stocking tbh! We will still ask at every scan we have (20, 28 and 34) just to double check. I didn't mind either way, my OH wanted to know and I just wanted another chance to check the baby was ok (still a paranoid wreck!) We got to switch over to 4D and have a lovely picture of the baby just about to suck his thumb Grin

Barbie we still have bought neutral.. my MIL on the other hand has gone blue crazy already!!

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 16:39

DH only has a son, I have two girls.

I'd like for DH to have a daughter.

But... I am so fucking bored of pink. I want to look at different sections in shops.

onefootinthebed · 15/06/2015 18:17

Oh you know when you phone battery runs out and you want to check how everyone's scans went.......congrats tootle.

I only want to know because I'm lazy and can't be bothered with all this naming lark. So Amyy I need more examples lol.

Gr33dyeggs · 15/06/2015 19:03

Congrats tootle!

All is ok here too. We stayed team yellow and I'm surprised to find I have an anterior placenta given how much I have felt - it must be the wriggly nature of it!

greedy I've been waiting all day for that!

Names... Sigh. Boys names stump me. I sort of like Henry and Eric. DH hates them. I have a long list of girls names though!

Amyyy27 · 15/06/2015 19:25

Haha onefoot! We are struggling so bad with names! We had a few girls names. I loved Phoebe! Boys names on the other hand are causing me stress! I pretty much don't like any boys names. Any I do don't go with OH surname or OH has vetoed. Poor baby will be lucky to get a name at all as every time I try and think or look up names I get stressed and stop looking!

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 19:30

The girls name we had picked for DD just didn't seem to fit her! Took us a few hours. She ended up with one of the names from our top 5. We couldn't agree on boys names so dread to think how long it would have taken us!

DNeph was nameless for 10 days! He has the coolest name ever. Spencer. DSis was 17 when she had him and I said whatever name you choose, please just don't do a Yoonique spelling!

Tootle10 · 15/06/2015 19:43

Yay greedy, lovely scan pic too!

Names are tough! I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself but have already picked out Naomi and nathaniel

chasingtherainbow · 16/06/2015 06:43

Greedy that's gorgeous Grin

I've been so busy I've literally not even thought about our scan Thursday. Even though I've been so worried recently. Now seeing your pic I'm excited to see bean. I can feel them kicking so I know they're in there but I'm extremely worried about finding somthing is wrong. Am working too much right now, doing two nights this week.. working till 8.30 tonight (leaving now..) and I fucking hate the heat!

Romeolovesjuliet · 16/06/2015 07:25

Congrats tootle and greedy.
Can't wait until I can (hopefully) join in with the scan chat.
Names - we used the only 2 girl names I love for DD. DS went unnamed for a few days but now think his name (very traditional and unexciting) really suits him. We won't find out what we're having - I've loved not knowing with both of mine and don't really have any reason to know. But think we will struggle with names either way, boy maybe being slightly easier.

Barbiedoll79 · 16/06/2015 09:26

Greedy what a lovely clear scan photo :-)
I have an anterior placenta this time too but barely felt any movements :-( hopefully soon!
Can't wait for all the pics to come rolling in :-) x

onefootinthebed · 16/06/2015 09:27

Greedy how lovely, your picture is so clear.

Stocking I like the name Henry but dh says it's not a name for a baby but of course it is otherwise there wouldn't be men called Henry, we don't know anyone called Henry at all.

Amyyy27 · 16/06/2015 09:28

chasing not long to go now! Good thing that you are busy as it will help the time go faster. Looking forward to seeing your little one :)

onefootinthebed · 16/06/2015 09:39

I want to ask you all something, which I have written many times but not posted as I just don't want you all to think I'm being silly, which I probably am.

Oh here goes. We havnt had sex since February just because I'm scared it will cause something to go wrong I know it won't but each miscarriage always started after we had dtd. To be honest we had a very active sex life but I don't know how I have linked the two. I am abit of a prude so can't talk about this with the midwife. I am even unsure what I am asking.

onefootinthebed · 16/06/2015 09:40

I think I'm prob asking for reassurance that everything will be ok.

chasingtherainbow · 16/06/2015 09:44

Onefoot my midwife said it's definitely ok.

But I'm gonna be honest and say the last time we had sex was probably the night we conceived!
