Sooo, I'm thinking it's largely salty things helping my nausea dont tell the OH and as I've just had practically half a litre of chicken gravy, could I be setting myself up for problems??!!

Nothing like amyyy, but I'm sick most mornings b4 breakfast and have nausea associated with hunger through til lunch (thus many mid morning bacon butties or crumpets with salted butter or crisps)

Just popping on quickly to tell you all something embarrassing, my neighbour was here just now telling me her problems and I began to cry for her..... What is with this new teary thing, I cried at my ds singing let it go and some girl singing on but last night, please tell me this isn't here for another 31 weeks and beyond.

Yes, off for BH. But in tomorrow and already half the staff are off! OH has took ds out for a bit now and im back in bed. It's our anniversary today too.

Morning all! Sorry I've been quiet, it's been a rather busy weekend. Knackered now, and with a stinking cold to boot! We've told a few people this weekend now that the scan is out of the way, and unbelievably, nobody had guessed despite me looking like I'm 6 months gone already! I must've done a better job at hiding it than I thought! It's still not quite sinking in that it's really happening though, I hope it does soon, and the fear wears off and I can start enjoying it all!

For the newbies, my stats are: 30, DD born 11/4/03, DS born 17/6/06, MC in June 2010 at around 6 weeks-ish. Currently 13+2.

Amyy is this your 12 week scan? Have you had any reassurance scans or anything up to this point?

yokyil yeah I will be 12+5 on wednesday.. or should be. I had a private scan at 8 weeks and baby was perfectly fine but with having an mmc last year I know there can be no sign that anythings wrong and it's eating away at me!

Ah amy think we all get scanxiety. We spend ages wishing them to come round then when they do, we get scared. Mines on Friday and I'm nervous already. Wed will be round soon. Sorry you still feeling poorly too.

My stats are gennibugs, no cd as yet. We ttc for 16months, were due to start ivf in Feb 2015. Got my natural BFP early Jan 2015 but sadly MC late Feb 2015, then another natural BFP March 2015. According to my private scan I am 12+4 today and have my scan this Friday when I'll be 13+1.

After months of frustration and tears at other peoples pregnancy announcements, I found myself on the other side of the situation this weekend. I hope I handled it as sensitively as we could but still feeling a bit crappy about it.

We were staying with some friends at the weekend and since a bit part of our socialising involves drinking I knew there'd be questions. I'd also been wondering if there were trying for a baby based on previous chats we'd had.

Rather than spring it on them when we arrived, my husband called and told them or news a few days earlier. He explained a bit of our history and said that we didn't want to make a fuss about it cause we're still very nervous but wanted to let them know.

Turns out my intuition was right and that they've been having difficulties getting pregnant. We spoke about briefly when we were there at the weekend. And while they were happy for us I just feel really bad for them. I remember how heartbreaking I found every announcement. In fact that's been my main reason for keeping off Facebook, you never know who'll be hurt.
