Happy holidays genni! We're off next weekend - can't wait to catch some extra sleep while DD and DS are in the kids club Blush. Feel like such a bad mother, I was falling asleep doing a puzzle with DD yesterday. I remember this when I was pg with DS but DD still napped then so it was much easier!
The high of the scan has worn off so feel the anxiety creeping in again but trying to stay rational. 3 weeks to private scan and a holiday in between. My hospital now say you will see a midwife before 12wks 6 days and will get a letter around 10 wks so who knows when nuchal scan will be!!

StockingFullOfCoal · 10/06/2015 13:38

MW booking appointment sorted for 2nd July, she'll be coming out to my home! I'm dreading it a little, talking about my first birth and subsequent MH issues and why I don't want to go to the nearest hospital, DH will also have to discuss what happened to his DS... I really don't want to have SIDS info rammed down our throats Sad

I'm past the point where I MCd last time and we have an early scan booked.

When does this get fun?!

Amyyy27 · 10/06/2015 13:58

Oh how jealous I am of all these holidays!! Might have to book a weekend away soon :)

Stocking sorry you are worrying about the booking in. Where I am we are told to fill in as much of the book and questions as possible before they arrive. It meant they didn't have to ask me much and only touched lightly on some of the issues noted, but I appreciate they may have to go into a bit more detail for you. I hope its not as bad as you are expecting though x

Oh and sorry but I am still waiting for the fun... its all worry worry illness worry at the min!

chasingtherainbow · 10/06/2015 15:16

Coming up 18 wks now and I'd say it's only a teency but fun now. But I may be on a high from the fact I just went for my first swim and that felt so nice to just be me again.. and i swam loads when pregnant with dd so it felt like a normal pregnancy bring iyswim probably not cos I make no sense I know

chasingtherainbow · 10/06/2015 15:17

Thing not bring Confused

Amyyy27 · 10/06/2015 15:20

Totally makes sense chasing! I went last week for the first time in months and was on a right buzz afterwards :) I'm looking forward to going again this weekend!

onefootinthebed · 10/06/2015 21:01

Evening ladies, I'm off swimming tomorrow so looking forward to it.

I have opted to have a community midwife rather than go to the doctors and make an appointment. With the community midwife they have a drop in day tomorrow and I think I might go and have my 16 week appointment even though I'm only15+5. It will be ok won't it?

I'm off on holiday down to Cornwall 2 weeks on sat. So looking forward to it x

Gr33dyeggs · 10/06/2015 21:22

stocking I'm slightly more excited now I can feel movements. May increase provided scan is ok on Monday!

And you can all naff off with your healthy swimming Wink. I may start aquanatal in a month. I hate water based activities - I tend to get cold quickly in water.

Also jealous of hols. We're stuck with school holidays now :-( I really want to book a holiday abroad now for next year! It's a caravan in the lakes this year.

Hi all

Popping on tentatively after Stocking recommended this thread. Definitely see a few names I recognise.

I'm pregnant for the 4th time after 3 losses.

1 mc @ 5 weeks May 14
2nd mc @ 9 weeks August 14
3rd mc @ 9 weeks January 15

Had all the testing and completely clear. Went to Coventry for endometrial scratch and nk cell testing plus had hysteroscopy through my consultant.

Now pregnant again, currently 5+5 and on progesterone and got 6 week scan on Friday where I'm being prescribed daily clexane injections.

And I'm scared to death quite frankly!!!

Anyway saying hello and really pleased to see ladies I've seen previously have been successful

Gr33dyeggs · 10/06/2015 21:34

Welcome over here too brummie Smile

Brummie it's so good to see you here. Holding your hand and crossing my fingers. X

onefootinthebed · 10/06/2015 22:09

Wellcome brummie, I also lost 3 in quick succession it's hard isn't it? . I'm on my fourth now and 15+5. Wishing you all the luck in the world. Everyone is lovely here and very supportive.

Greedy I havn't been abroad since sept 2011 when I conceived my ds, I don't miss it at all (well I tell myself this to make myself feel better). I love the lakes we went there in March infact since 2012 we been every year.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 11/06/2015 06:25

Hey brummie so glad to see you here! I know you must be pretty anxious so feel free to let it all out here- we all do!

Romeolovesjuliet · 11/06/2015 07:21

Welcome Brummie, great to see you here Smile

Amyyy27 · 11/06/2015 07:21

brummie lovely to see you here, congrats!! :) x

Gr33dyeggs · 11/06/2015 07:26

onefoot I love some sun and heat! Quite happy in this country if it provides but it rarely does Hmm. Still we will make the most of the lakes. Hoping to head more West coast because we've not done that b4.
I appreciate I am tempting fate but I've been sick free for 5 days. Still a bit nauseous but heaps better Smile
in work on my day off to complete a 'performing under pressure' course. I'll be applying it sooner than expected as my manager has gone off sick! Still, tbh I'm rather calm about it all for now

Greedy the thing miss is when you step of the plane the heat hits you and the smell I think the air smells different everywhere you go ( but really I suppose that might be different types of fuel the area plane uses seeing as I am at the airport).

I went the beach yesterday and got sunburnt I didn't notice till about 10pm last night.

Bosses aye,I think I may need a course similar to yours to cope in the first couple of weeks of having this baby.

Barbiedoll79 · 11/06/2015 08:14

Welcome and congratulation Brummie :-) x

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 08:27

Haven't been abroad since I was pregnant with dd not fun I like the idea but flying not so much and also I'm a grumpy shit when I'm too hot.. and since the days of lounging unhassled under a big umbrella reading a book is long gone I've zero desire for an abroad hols atm.

So we're back down to Cornwall. One foot I think our holidays cross over. Am leaving Monday after next. I love Cornwall, couldn't be happier there.

I am shuffling off to bed, my babe's were poorly last night and I was projectile vomited on several times.. haaanging. Except I've got a meeting at dds preschool first

I'm going to decorate our bedroom and buy a bigger bed I think.

Tootle10 · 11/06/2015 08:38

Welcome brummie! And congratulations Smile

I was hoping you would all say the bloating gets better! Might start swimming once I start to get a bit bigger. I'm trying to keep going to the gym at least twice a week but just taking it easy. I'm so hungry all the time and any nausea seems to go when I eat - can feel the weight starting to creep on.

Hope the course goes well greedy - think I could do with that one! I love the Lake District - we're only a couple of hours drive away and there's nothing better than a long walk or sitting in a beer garden on a sunny day.

onefootinthebed · 11/06/2015 08:57

Chasing I get there on the 27th, I have never been before and really looking forward to it.

I am swimming today seeing the midwife and then my dad is coming for lunch and my fil is coming for dinner and I've just looked around and my house is messy, ohh I need to get a move on but have zero get up and go.

Oops I just also realised someone is coming to give me a quote on the trees aswell must get dressed. Have a lovely day ladies.

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 12:28

One foot, you'll love it. Cornwall is spectacular. Whereabouts are you going?

Enjoy your day! I'm just up.. off to the dentist with dd. Woo Hmm

Amyyy27 · 11/06/2015 13:17

Oh I would love to go to Cornwall but its just too far for us :( (I'm not a good traveller!) We love to go to the lakes though, and after reading all these holidays we are gunna have to book somewhere soon!

Just had my eyebrows threaded (they were gross!) and my eyes are even more sensitive than pre-pregnancy!! The woman kept going on about me crying haha I swear I wasn't!! Sat in the middle of Debenhams oh the shame..

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 13:24

Hahaha in the middle of Debenhams Grin

It does take us upwards of 3.5hrs car travelling. Doesn't sound like loads but feels forever lol

onefootinthebed · 11/06/2015 15:02

Amyy are you one of those people that like pain? I have had it done once in my life, my sister told me it didn't hurt. She lied. I will stick to waxing.

Chasing St.ives I am so so SO looking forward to it. It will take us up to 8 hours to get there but I dont mind I am still looking forward to it.

I heard the heartbeat of my baby today. I didn't realise I was so worried that something would be wrong. When I was having my scans I was worried, upset and you could tell I was really nervous. I didn't even tell my dh I was having an appointment today I just went , it was only after the I heard the heartbeat that I realised I was so relieved . I think I am going to tell the world today. I think it's time for me to relax abit and try to start enjoying my pregnancy. At last.
