Hahaha onefoot no certainly not but my eyebrows were so desperate and nowhere else could do it on my lunch hour! Oh my was she telling porkies?? It hurts so bad!! Ohhh lovely you heard the heartbeat so pleased :) its such a relief!

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 16:22

Yay for telling the world!!! And the hb is sooo lovely. I almost found it more reassuring that scans. It was over so quick though :-(

St. Ives is gorgeous.. you won't be disappointed! Be prepared to bus/walk it lots tho cos parking is a shitter. It's like the most touristy place ever :-D

On the beach harbour, there's a cafe with a black sign (i forget it's name) they have a window where they sell crepes .. mmm! Also don't buy icecream anywhere else, it's sodding expensive. There's a fudge shop the first row of shops back from the front, it's opposite yumi iir. In there they do 99p'ers (proper cornish icecream) you won't find it for less than 2.50 anywhere else. If you can get to Carbis bay and porthminster beach it's fab. Porthminster is my fave. You can climb the rock stairs up over when the tides out and there's a nice pub right there. If it's just you and dh st.ives harbour hotels resteraunt has incredible views and is sat above porthminster beach (you can walk from porthminster to st.ives centre in 10 mins)

Have a fabby time x

Tootle10 · 11/06/2015 16:26

That made me laugh amyy! You definitely deserve a nice break after feeling so ill.

I've never been to Cornwall either - DH keeps saying our days of holidays abroad are gone for a while once we have DC so sure I'll be visiting soon though!

onefootinthebed · 11/06/2015 16:46

Ooh fudge,so looking forward to going .

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 11/06/2015 17:08

We're off to Cornwall in 4 weeks too. Can't wait!

Gr33dyeggs · 11/06/2015 18:42

Scanxiety is beginning. Why do I read some threads? !? I really feel for the parents (to be) going through difficult scans but am now dreading Monday Sad and then feel selfish Blush

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 19:44

Not felt baby move today. Am now FREAKING OUT.

  • yes I know it's really early still.
gennibugs · 11/06/2015 20:35

Oh you've given me a hankering for Cornwall. Luckily we are going later this year. Carbis bay, porthminster beach, porthmeor, st Ives - I love it all. We go to carbis bay and a sleepy little village called mousehole most years. I even love the drive down there weirdo I know

greedy I have scanxiety and still have 2 weeks to go. I too read things and they terrify me. DH says I need to stay away from the internet for my own sanity sometimes.

chasing It's still so early, don't panic. I haven't felt any movement mind you at all yet which is worrying me so I'm one to talk!

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 21:06

Genni we're not long back from Mousehole. Also a fave of ours. We got hitched not far from there either.

Falmouth is my fave though.. !

gennibugs · 11/06/2015 21:31

Oh I'd love to have gotten married round there! I've never been to Falmouth. My sister goes there with her family though. Maybe one to add to the list when we are a three Grin

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 21:57

No no. . Go now, stay at Bossaneth b&b /hotel with David & Clive. It's so lovely. . But adult only lol.

We do love Falmouth even with dd now. We take her crabbing and she loves the beach and museum. ?

chasingtherainbow · 11/06/2015 21:57

We really need to get the fb group busier. I am rediculously identifiable these days lol Grin

wispywoo1 · 12/06/2015 07:34

Hey ladies, hope you're all we'll. Sorry I've been away for a while. The school term turns me into hibernation mode! I'll be 18 weeks on monday and I've been feeling little kicks I think. They feel like little spasms but have been going on for days so must be kicks Smile

20 week scan is 2 weeks on Tues. Can't wait. We won't be finding out but we do have 2 names. We love Leila and Lewis although I'm not 100% sure on lewis at the min. I still prefer Joel. Fingers crossed everything is OK!

chasingtherainbow · 12/06/2015 07:37

Ohh I love Joel. (And lewis!)

18 wks tomo here. I've definitely got bigger this week.. though haven't really gained any weight still. Our scan is on Thursday.. eeep.

onefootinthebed · 12/06/2015 08:45

I love the names Joel and Lewis, I have a nephew Joel and a close friend has a boy called Lewis we can't settle on any names at all.

chasingtherainbow · 12/06/2015 09:05

I've just had the worst pain ripple through me.. I'm now led on the bed trying not to cry and keeping really still! What to do!?

Gr33dyeggs · 12/06/2015 10:03

Have you maybe pulled a muscle chasing? I had awful backache and tummy cramps yesterday evening which scared me too. Lying down definitely helped.

Barbiedoll79 · 12/06/2015 10:28

My hubby says to stay off google too but think it's natural- just want answers and reassurance don't we?

Don't panic I have only felt a movement once or twice but had scan last sat and turns out I have an anterior placenta this time which explains it and may be the reason for you guys too :-)
Chasing have you overdone it? Or could it be growing pains? I was literally doubled up on and off all day wednesday but remembered the midwife told me before if no bleeding it's no concern- doesn't help much at the time but today they are normal again x x x

chasingtherainbow · 12/06/2015 17:33

I really don't know. I'm getting lots of snotty discharge and the pain /soreness low down is constant and making walking uncomfortable /tough. It's all in my arse and hips too. I'm starting to wonder if I'm getting spd /pelvic girdle pain. I've had neither before so unsure, but when I saw my chiro last week she said it wasn't misaligned (my pelvic bone thing.. she was v low!) But that we'd keep a close eye to nip anything in the bud if it arised.

God this pregnancy is so much harder than I ever expected. Sob.

Gr33dyeggs · 12/06/2015 21:36

My pelvic area was sore last week after, er dtd Blush. Think we need different positions! I've been trying to keep my knees in line with hips since and Its a lot better.

wispywoo1 · 12/06/2015 23:37

Chasing could it be wind or constipation?? Or does it feel like period pains? I'm sure everything is fine. I got an awful stabbing pain when I sneezed while driving earlier. I convinced myself I'd dislodged it or something! But I've had pains like that since day one so have to keep thinking that.
I keep getting really emotional lately. I either cry or almost cry every day. Can be over the silliest things. Pregnancy hormones are crazy.

gennibugs · 13/06/2015 09:59

Morning all.

chasing hope you're feeling a bit better. I've woken up really bloated and sore in my tummy, hoping it's just wind!

is anyone else finding they are rather thirsty. I get such bad headaches unless I'm guzzling water all day and night.

Romeolovesjuliet · 13/06/2015 11:02

Chasing, hope you are feeling better today.
Yep to being very thirsty all the time. I also find I crave very sweet drinks to quench my thirst when normally I'm happy with water.
Got my booking and scan dates this morning. Booking is while we're away so will have to change. Scan is a Friday which is great as I don't work then. But the thought of going has made me feel really sick and emotional as it was the 12 wk scan when we got the bad news last time. I will have had a private scan at 9+5 before it though so either I won't be going or will go with a pretty good chance that everything is still ok.

onefootinthebed · 13/06/2015 15:58

Oh Romeo it's horrid isn't it. Fingers crossed everything is fine on Friday I'm sure it will be.

I'm the same with drinking I can't seem to stop I love pomegranate juice with lemonade at the minute, only because I had pomegranate appletise and I can't find that so trying to make my own.

I'm so tired today I've been awake since 4.45pm.

Amyyy27 · 13/06/2015 16:25

chasing hope you're feeling better today !

Hope everyone else is well?

We had our private scan today!! We had a very awkward but healthy baby, who was too busy chilling with their legs crossed to show us in between, so had to go back after a cold drink and lots of walking, jumping and stairs! And lo and behold a little boy!! We are over the moon :)
