So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Thanks for the thread greedy!

I know what you mean im another kicker watcher! Any bout of cramp and im running to the toilet! I think when i was told it was normal to cramp last time round and then mmc i am struggling to believe anything anyone tells me.

This is going to be a tough 8 months but so pleased i have you ladies to go through it with and i reeeally hope we have some more BFPs over the next couple of weeks too!

gingerbreadmam · 04/03/2015 19:35

hi greedy didnt like seeing you all on your lonesome here and we have crossed paths on lots of other threads.

i am 7+2 officially today (think im further on than that tbh) and just had my booking in apt. i am trying to give myself little milestones. even have in my outlook diary at work pop ups reminding me of them.

im like u tho in that i arent taking anything for granted just yet. next milestone, scan letter. once i have that should only be another two weeks till scan and i hope ill feel a lot more confident after that.

Amyyy27 · 04/03/2015 19:35

Kicker watcher? I assure you i do not agree with violence Grin knicker

Amyyy27 · 04/03/2015 19:37

ginger thats a great idea i think i will try to adopt. One small step at a time!

northdownmummy · 04/03/2015 19:43

Hi ladies, another knicker watcher here.

6 weeks tomorrow and still feeling pretty numb. Felt a bit nauseous this afternoon which was very comforting and I've been very tired with achey boobs fir about a week.

I've an early scan booked for next Tuesday and to be totally honest I'm just focusing on that as a milestone. Lots of talk of "if the scan is ok"

Scary times but so glad to be sharing it with all you ( in a nice way)

MsJupiter · 04/03/2015 19:48

Marking place Smile

Still can't really believe it and expecting it to be taken away from me at any moment. It took over a year to conceive DS so I just can't believe I could get pregnant so easily. The mc pregnancy took 3 months and I thought that was quick.

Yy to knickerchecking...

Phryn · 04/03/2015 19:51

So lovely to see you over here Gr33dy - huge congrats to you and sending sticky wishes your way.

Congrats to the other ladies also who I don't recognise!

There's a bunch of previous "best shit place to be" or earlier versions of the same thread over in the *posifricitive after mc" thread or words to that effect. You'd be very welcome over there also. It's very friendly and has a mix of folks in different trimesters which is nice as you get to see that this whole pregnancy thing after a loss can work out, and get support and understanding from people at different stages. Am not saying you should choose that thread instead as multiple threads can defo be helpful but just that it's another good thread to join if you fancy.

Flowers and big congrats to all. I remember well how scary the early days were. It doesn't go away entirely but does get a bit easier.

Phryn · 04/03/2015 19:53

Typing error - meant to say that there are a bunch of ladies from the "ttc after mc" threads over on "posifricitive after mc" thread!

MsJupiter · 04/03/2015 19:58

Hi Phryn and thanks - I hope we will join you in those threads once we are all feeling more sure of our BFPs but just wanted to have a quiet corner to fret in! It is definitely brilliant to know about others who are now further down the line; thinking about people I know IRL who have had successful pregnancies after mc is one of the things that's kept me going during the dark times.

Amyyy27 · 04/03/2015 20:04

Hi phryn thanks for that, i am sure we will get there one day, but i know i for one am still in shock and no quite ready to allow myself to believe just yet!

Isnt it sad that mc sucks the happiness out of something so precious :(

Gr33dyeggs · 04/03/2015 20:31

Hi Phryn. I've been watching that thread but am not quite ready to join. I'm not adding stats to anything until I feel more confident or have some reassurance. It is sad Amy, I completely agree! I will be joining the positifrickinity thread hopefully in the not too distant future.

BFP yesterday at 10dpo, another one today- good strong line.
Odd thing is I've been feeling really nauseous since about 3dpo but it's not possible to have pregnancy symptoms that early is it?
Trying to keep calm. Haven't even missed period. But I already feel more pregnant than I did last time. Eek. Can't let myself believe this is going to work out.

Amyyy27 · 04/03/2015 20:50

Guy i have been nauseous for a while too. And i had a sicky migraine day after ov which i had at exactly the same time last pg and never any other time. How strange! We are at exactly the same stage i love that! Im gunna keep testing up until monday then call the midwife then if all is still well :)

gingerbreadmam · 04/03/2015 21:05

omgoodness guybrush im werent we on the same mc thread? sorry ive been on so many! congrats what fabulous news! that is an early bfp wow!

Gr33dyeggs · 04/03/2015 21:14

Hi gingerbread! 1 milestone at a time sounds very sensible. Every night and every morning I say 'today, I am pregnant'.

I've got a GP appointment Monday. It was originally to discuss the day 3 and 21 bloods but guess it will be getting swabs arranged and expressing my fears. I've booking in Friday 13th (only because I'm off that day by chance and its Fridays MW is there - let's face it there are better dates to have!)

I have no symptoms I can pin point.

MsJupiter · 04/03/2015 21:28

I'm also going to wait until Monday before letting a doctor know and getting that ball in motion. After the mc they said they'd arrange an early scan when I became pregnant again.

Would it be a terrible idea to give a slightly amended date for LMP when I do see the doctor? I remember last time they based my EDD on my period even though I knew my cycles were long. I just don't want to be 2 weeks behind - so if they offered me an early scan at 7 weeks I know I'd only be 5. Even though my ov dates are not precise, I know there's an early cut-off point when it could be. Or should I just give them the correct date and explain and hope they adjust?

Phryn · 04/03/2015 21:50

Totally understand ladies... We're all rooting for you and will hopefully see you a little ways along the line...

MC does defo suck the innocence out of pregnancy, but the joy does creep back in eventually even if it goes hand in hand with wobbly periods, lots of "just keep swimming" and taking it day by day. Smile

Amyyy27 · 04/03/2015 21:52

MsJ i would probably tell them the truth but tell them you want to put your correct ov date down, they can always change it at dating scan anyway!

I dont know if im entitled to an early scan i just have this feeling i was told i would only get a reassurance scan after more than one mc. So if they wont give me one we have decided to pay for a private one. I dont think i can go 8 weeks without knowing!

MsJupiter · 04/03/2015 22:33

I think you're right Amyy. I might write it all out like I did in the other thread.

Also considering getting a CBD to see how pregnant it thinks I am!

Amyyy27 · 05/03/2015 06:47

Yeah thats a good idea MsJ ! :)

ReverseTheTrend · 05/03/2015 06:59

Its so good to see you all here!

I think I am around 6 weeks, but midwife dating me as 11 as no date other than MC to go on, which is a pain!

Amyyy27 · 05/03/2015 07:07

Well another positive today but its really not sinking in yet! Im getting wrong off my OH for testing everyday as apparently 'one positive test is enough' but i cant help thinking something is going to go wrong!

Amyyy27 · 05/03/2015 07:09

Aww reverse thats annoying! When will you get a dating scan?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 05/03/2015 07:11

*MrsJ when I was pregnant with dd, I had 45 day cycles. I insisted and insisted that my due date was the 26th and they kept on just assuming I it was the 11th. Eventually when my scan data came through two weeks early, I called the scanning department and explained that I knew exactly when I had ovulated and they changed it. They confirmed date as 26th. And dd was born on 26th.
However last time with mc, doctor asked for both lmp and cycle length and took both into account.

Sorry, that's not very helpful is it?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 05/03/2015 07:12

Hi Reverse! That's not such a bad thing because thriller want to give you a dating scan when they think you're 12 weeks and then if it's too early, they'll do another one when you're really 12 weeks.
