So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Oh yes they all know they are just really nasty thoughtless women for want of a better word.

Aww guy its nice she is very discreet for you! I am also wondering the same. Hopefully once tomorrow is over it might sink in

Gr33dyeggs · 07/03/2015 08:26

Lovely response from your mil guy. Enjoy your weekend.

As for it being real - I'll believe only at a 12 week scan. Wondering whether an early scan is worth it with 9 and 11 week losses?

Aw glad your mil was discrete guy she sounds lovely

14 dpo. And I still can't allow myself to believe this might be happening. AF due today officially, if I can get to Monday I might start to believe its a reality. I might have to confide in my sister and mum. We are REALLY close and I can't hide it, they'll know something is up as soon as they see me. Plus it will save poor DH from my worries.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday - the weather is lovely here today.

MsJupiter · 07/03/2015 09:36

Oh that's lovely from your DH and MIL Guy.

I got away with not drinking on my night out with my SILs, it was quite a good night in the end although I was convinced the loud music would somehow disturb the little bean - daft but I sort of want to curl up in a ball of cotton wool for 9 months and keep it safe.

I have laid off the pregnancy tests for the last couple of days which has been good for my sanity.

Gr33dyeggs · 07/03/2015 09:41

I'll be on becks blue shandies later and I'm driving after so hoping this is an adequate cover.

Morning ladies. Hope you are all well!

14dpo here on edge... temps have stayed high so thats good but other than that will shut my mouth as i dont want to jynx anything!

Greedy i think im gunna get one at 8. My last baby made it to 6 weeks and i didnt find out til 10 and that was bad enough. However you are right anything could happen after the test. My 6w scan showed a baby with a health hb, to then find out at 10w baby must have died later that day. So really if i am totally honest i dont think any scan is going to reassure me until i have a baby in my arms!

Amyyy27 · 07/03/2015 09:52

Scan not test!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 07/03/2015 19:03

I think I will have a scan at 8 weeks. Last one ended about 7 but my body didn't realise until 5 weeks later. But who knows if there was ever a heartbeat on that one.
I think I will be in a terrible state going into my 12 week scan if I don't get some reassurance first.
14 dpo here. Is anyone getting any symptoms? I seem to be analysing every physical feeling. Slightly nauseous, but nothing major. Think it started properly allot 6 weeks with dd. With mc pregnancy too, but it was definitely less.

Amyyy27 · 07/03/2015 19:25

guy same here i think if there was to be bad news i would want to know sooner than 12 weeks. I have been nauseous and crampy and very tired. I have been dashing to the loo all day with a wet feeling only to find cm (thankfully!) I think thats about it so far! How are you feeling?

Gr33dyeggs · 07/03/2015 20:39

Lots of cm here too. I've had a pulling/stretching feeling on my right side today otherwise nothing. I could go to bed now though as I'm really tired.

OP posts:
GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 07/03/2015 21:01

A bit of nausea when I haven't eaten in a while. I've had nausea since 3 dpo though so busy just be a progesterone thing. Sore boobs but again I get that every month. Tired, but dd woke me up at 4am and I couldn't get back to sleep.
So nothing out of the ordinary. Tomorrow is period due date so first milestone for me. Will do a digi on Monday I think and hope it says 2-3!

Amyyy27 · 07/03/2015 22:53

Is it strange im too scared to do digi? Ive used normal tests for like 5 days but i dont know... i think im either scared to see it in writing or im scared it will say otherwise probably both.

Ive had a pulling feeling too today. I had it when pg last time, in fact thats the reason i tested, although i was a bit further on than this.

OH and i went out for a nice lunch today and we had a very short baby talk. We are excited but feel like we dont want to say too much too soon! I think it feels a lot more real now that there is no sign of AF. In fact i am almost looking forward to contacting midwife on monday to get the ball rolling!

I hope you ladies are feeling a bit more positive. Im so happy we have each other for support :)

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 06:20

Hello everyone Smile

Have just confirmed with a digi and have a better line on frer so feel tentatively ready to creep in to the thread. Just read back and want to offer everyone a Brew for their worries.
MrsJ I also want to just curl up and wait for the 9 months to pass. We did a 3 mile walk yesterday and I kept thinking about the nhs website which said Jacuzzis are a no no because when you get hot blood rushes to the surface of your skin to cool you down and thus potentially deprives major organs. So I was walking up this hill like .. "don't sweat... don't sweat... don't sweat"!!

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 06:24

Photo evidence. Inc dodgy hotel lighting again ...

I also can't seem to make it to a decent morning hr before desperately needing to pee. . I purposely peed at 11 pm and it hurt to hold it in till 5.30am!

Amyyy27 · 08/03/2015 06:30

Aww chasing thats fab!! :)

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 06:39

Relieved to see the line getting darker.

I shouldn't buy any more frer should I..???
I have 1 last digi that I'll use for in a week or so to see the weeks going up and give me a nice sense of false security.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 08/03/2015 06:52

Jacuzzis and hot tubs are bad because they are really got and you might start in there a while which could raise your body temperature. A brisk walk is fine- any exercise where you can still carry on a bit if a conversation is ok. I'm going to keep cycling to work although I am going to go at a more relaxed pace.
Chasing I'm really happy you're here. I think I've said before, I'm still really close with my antenatal mn group from pregnancy with dd (we're all in a fb group nor) so it's nice to be starting this journey with a lovely group too. Is anyone going to join a 'due in Nov' group? I think I'll hold back until after a scan.

Me and dh are still starting every baby related sentence with "IF this one works out..." Not sure when we'll stop that.

MsJupiter · 08/03/2015 06:53

Whew - just tested after a couple of days 'off' and very happy to see the line is much darker and came up straight away. Still feel like this isn't all real and won't last but - today I am pregnant Smile

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 07:00

Oh yes Guy, I realise I was being irrational! Sometimes I just want to cross my legs and hide under the duvet in an attempt to keep baby in and healthy. I love swimming so will keep that up. My hips already hurt, I'm a size 16 now (was a 10 with dd) and so I'm conscious of keeping an eye on my weight. Thankfully I'd lost a stone before this bfp. And im craving greens so good start lol! was white bread and butter with dd hence being several sizes bigger now

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 08/03/2015 07:21

I know, I'm trying desperately and failing to keep myself rational. It's really hard.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 08/03/2015 07:26

Well done on losing a stone! I gained a stone after my mc so going to try really hard not to overeat. But I lost two stone since my last pregnancy so still not a bad starting point. I have a tendency to comfort eat and just be really greedy but I want to be really really sensible this pregnancy. I felt really miserable about how I looked last time. I know the most important thing is healthy baby though.

I really think I feel more pregnant than I did with mc but I could be imagining it.

I have officially missed my period now! Guess I'm pregnant!

Yey MrsJ! We've had such a good week for bfps!

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 07:31

Yay for officially missing period! Mines due tomo so I'm excited for that day to pass.

That's an amazing loss, well done!! I'm going to stick with sw during the pregnancy as best as I can.

I definitely feel pregnant. I didn't with mc. And my lines never got darker.. only lighter (stressful!)

MsJupiter · 08/03/2015 08:03

Hurray for missing period Guy.

I am also going to try and stick to SW. I think the hardest thing is that inevitably you go up or plateau a little bit but you can't explain that to the group.

I lost a stone and a half before my last pregnancy (Sept) but put 11lbs back on during the pregnancy, mc and Christmas aftermath. Lost 8.5lbs again since Jan so that's not too bad although I really wanted to be back to where I was. Just going to focus on being healthy and staying active and use the SW guidelines to help me minimise weight gain or even lose a bit more.

chasingtherainbow · 08/03/2015 08:11

MsJ. . For various reasons I decided to stop using group a few weeks back and I've been weighing at boots. I find using instagram really helpful as there's a strong sw community and I've been lurking on a pregnancy sw group on fb.. If you search for it it should show. It's quite a big one and those who go to group relay all the up to date pregnancy plan advice x

Gr33dyeggs · 08/03/2015 08:15

We aren't even acknowledging the pregnancy here. Other than OH checking I'm taking folic acid and eating something b4 I rushed out there is nothing.

Well done on the weight loss.

No, I'm not even watching the November thread. At drs tomorrow so will see what she advises re early scan. Does anyone know at what stage transabdominal can be done?
