So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Hello all. I'm hoping I can tentatively join?

As some of you will have seen I got my bfp yesterday on a frer at 12dpo. Did another test this morning and came up with a positive too but I'm. convinced the line seemed fainter. AF due tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get to Monday and then ill call my GP/EPU for advice.

I'm terrified though. I've woken up cramping, feeling sick and convinced AF is coming any moment. I wasn't going to join your little group as I didn't want to jinx things but I think I need some suppprt and I don't want to clog up the ttc threads. i think I'll be on knicker watch all weekend.

Hope everyone is ok on this sunny Friday. Sorry for the long first post.

gingerbreadmam · 06/03/2015 08:44

congratulations genni you can expect cramping i think from everything growing and i doubt ud get a feinter line so soon especially at this stage, tbh if af isnt due yet i would expect feint lines anyway.

i hope u r ok. i know saying dont worry doesnt make everything better but just keep telling yourself today i am pregnant because you r Grin congrats Thanks

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 09:03

genni if it makes you feel any better I thought some of my lines were fainter. So I have wrote on them what dpo they are and lined them up.. and looked at them on the evening and they do get darker. I don't know why they didn't look that way when I first took the test but hey ho I won't complain.

I also can't believe my MS this early (if it is?) I remember last time MS didn't start until about 6 weeks, so why would it be this early? I hope its a good sign.

oh and genni we are all knicker watchers here!! I think we are all holding our breath until next week too! It just doesn't feel real... either that or I am automatically trying not to get my hopes up 'just in case'. I really wish I had been able to hold off testing until after AF late as now I am half expecting the red witch to show her ugly face tomorrow!

Anyway sorry for the rant. I hope you are all well Flowers

gennibugs · 06/03/2015 09:12

Thank you for your replies gingerbread and amyy. It really helps to know others are in the same boat and understand my worries. I too wish I had waited until at least Sunday to test but I just feel/felt so sick I knew something was up. I too am wondering if it's too early to be feeling so sick - last time I had no sickness at all though.

I am going to try to stop stressing over the lines on the tests - a line is a line and yes - right now we are pregnant.

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 09:44

yeah try and relax genni if you can, I'm trying to calm down and enjoy this pregnancy, I remember how lovely it was when we first found out we were pg last time, there was so much happiness and excitement and I really want those feelings back! The chances of mc this time round are a lot less likely if I remember correctly. So fx for us all!!

Gr33dyeggs · 06/03/2015 09:47

genni welcome. Our mantra is 'today we are pregnant'.

I'm so pleased to see so many of us here and fx we all make it to the posivifrikinity thread in a month or so.

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 09:55

We shall be getting a new addition soon... chasing got her BFP Grin yay! How well are we all doing I'm amazed, and so thrilled we can all go through this together!

greedy I certainly hope we all do. I have had a couple of looks in... but definitely not ready to step foot on there yet!

gingerbreadmam · 06/03/2015 10:15

oh wow i remember so many of you ladies from other threads its so exciting.

glad you are all here for handholding!

im 8 weeks tomo which by looking at the mc risk calculator often posted on here is the magic number of weeks where the risk gets to the lowest point eeekk! wish could look inside and see all is well.

tmi probs but i still get nausea regularly, luckily not sick. horrible congestion. huge areolas are getting even huger, i will be a walking pair of nipples before long. oh and did i say exgaustion combined with 3 -4 pee stops a night? i must admit it feels different to last time thank goodness.

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 10:20

oh ginger that's fantastic! LOL at the walking nipples! And just think.. by the time we get to 8 weeks you will be having your scan! exciting!

northdownmummy · 06/03/2015 10:28

Embarrassing question here

I've raced to the loo several times this morning feeling damp and expecting to see blood.
Seems like either just a lot of very watery discharge or possibly a bit of a leaky bladder.

Is this an early pregnancy thing ? Never suffered before

happygojo · 06/03/2015 10:30

Just wanted to say, great to see you all, I wasn't on the 'Best shit place to be' for very long but I recognise some names. There must be something in the water for you all coming in at the same time ish! i am wishing you all sticky thoughts. I am now 17+4 and these first few weeks are horrific, I waited until my 12 week scan and basically collapsed into the ultrasound room sobbing with fear before I saw my wriggly bean! My tips are:

  • you WILL worry, everyone on here and on the positifrickny (however that is spelt!) thread will have thought the same and we are here for handholding. You are not alone

  • Pregnancy hurts sometimes. You cramp, you stretch you have indigestion your hips click. It just hurts. It doesn't always mean something is wrong

  • Your symptoms are individual to you and THIS particular pregancy, and also you will have good days and bad days symptom-wise. With this preg my nausea and hurty boobs started much later than my blighted ovum preg.

  • TODAY YOU ARE PREGNANT

Big hugs and take one day at a time. And the other mantra.... 'the odds are in your favour.

Big love to you all xxxx

gingerbreadmam · 06/03/2015 10:33

its an early pregnancy thing north its like excessive discharge i had it and still do on occasion.

awful as u go into knicker watch overdrive but that feeling when u see all is good is priceless.

gingerbreadmam · 06/03/2015 10:37

thanks amy i didnt realise actually this is a pre-posifrigitive thread as im on there too.

yes i should be getting scan letter in less than two weeks now so cant wait for that. still think be anxious for the scan though.

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 10:59

north same here I think it must be early pg symptom!

Aww happy you have made me well up!. Thanks for your support and sooo glad you are having a happy healthy pregnancy! I love hearing success stories it does make me more hopeful!

ginger yes its just cause we are so early and so scared to take the leap of faith just yet! Wishing you the best of luck for your scan... and make sure you let us see! (if you wish to!) I love scan pics!

gingerbreadmam · 06/03/2015 11:38

thanks amy and will do. hope everyone has moved over by then.

MsJupiter · 06/03/2015 11:44

I've been having the same northdown (and rushing to the loo) - I think it is a combination of pg symptom and us being hyper aware of what's going on in our knickers!

Thanks Tori :) xx

Amyyy27 · 06/03/2015 14:46

Grrr. I won't go into it but I have to work with some really insensitive people and listen to whingey pregnancy talk all freaking afternoon! I thought this would get easier with a bfp but its still really upsetting :( I hope once this pregnancy feels a bit more real it might help. I think it would be nice to feel that I'm not alone in this office with having a mini-me hidden away!

gennibugs · 06/03/2015 16:03

amyy people can be thoughtless. Do they know what happened with you? Fx you can let your secret out in a while. I'm the only female in my team so there's no fear of any preg related chat -just lots of boring sport.

I can feel a headache coming on - I always get a headache the day before AF, so hoping this is not a sign of bad news on its way.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 06/03/2015 17:48

Told mil. She was pulling out all the unpasteurised cheeses and pate and making a chocolate mousse with raw egg and pouring me a glass of wine. It just seemed easier to tell her. She smiled and just said she'd make sure there was nothing unsuitable served to me and she wouldn't tell anyone. Ah, she's lovely and discreet.

14dpo tomorrow. At what point can I accept that this is real?
