Huge congrats baby! Such wonderful news :) I can almost sense the oxytocin from here - adorable. Best of luck with your recovery and please share pix when you can xx

I just skim read the thread and read "CM test" as clear mucus test, rather than carbon monoxide. As I'm nearly 18 weeks pg, I think I'm going to claim this as a good old fashioned attack of baby brain! BlushGrin

broody whenever anyone on mn refers to "my cm" meaning childminder I get confused. Clearly i was ttc for too long!

Ah Tori, hope you found some comfort there.
I love Bath. It's where DH proposed after a rugby match. Gorgeous city.

CommanderShepard · 14/02/2015 17:32

Congrats baby!

Met up with NCT friends today (our babies are almost 3! WTF!) and told them the news. They were really lovely and supportive so other than feeling so so so sick I'm feeling quite cheerful. Achy and tired though - wishing away the first trimester like nobody's business...

Scanxiety is creeping in though. Got one on Wednesday for the research study I'm in and feeling wibbly about it as the brown spotting has still not buggered off.

Congratulations Baby!

Commander - the anxiety caught up with me today after a real drop off in symptoms since Tuesday. Convinced myself it was all over despite a great scan at 6+5 . Anyway, upshot of weeping all over my lovely DP was a hastily arranged private scan. Everything looked good! Heartbeat 175bpm and measuring 8+3. So relieved (again) . I had an nhs 9 week scan booked for Friday but just couldn't wait until then Blush

longestlurkerever · 14/02/2015 18:50

tori it would be my due date today too, and our edds are almost the same this time too. Actually feeling very calm about it today and appreciating my little family. Hugs to you.

Great news worried!

blankfornames · 14/02/2015 19:01

Congratulations baby so pleased for you that your lo is finally here! Especially after all the health problems you had and the long induction. Enjoy your cuddles and hope you have lots of help at home too! x Here is your stats update Grin

Blank good to see you back - you're top of the list now! Wink I've been reading the 'two weeks to go thread' so was nice to see you there and to know you've not long to go!

38 weeks on Monday for me and been having lots of BH tightening. It was my last day at work yesterday and my tummy was rock hard all afternoon and evening! Apart from being really uncomfortable, it panics me a bit when it lasts for so long, as I can't feel movements then either... Confused But I gather it's normal and I just need to sit it out?.. Hmm

Congratulations baby what lovely news. Hope you have a quick recovery.

Treaclepie19 · 14/02/2015 23:41

Im worrying tonight. Symptoms have eased a bit and I think because we're away for a valentines evening with dh's brother and SIL, they've been talking about baby quite a lot.
I just don't believe it's real and that everything will be ok.
Going to try and hold out until my scan is sorted but I really am wondering whether to book a private one.

8+6 - furthest ive got and keeping my fingers crossed :)

Thanks sunbathing, i know it's a pain having to keep reassuring me.

I'm really thinking of doing it. The silly thing is, i had my scan at 6+4 and all was fine - dated 6 weeks and a tiny heartbeat.

I do think a scan would help though.

OP posts:
Boozle80 · 15/02/2015 07:31

Treacle it is not a pain to reassure anyone - it's the whole point of this thread to help each other through. I am the queen of panic! I saw my best friend last night and she was asking if I had a gut of if this ones a boy or girl and I said I didn't know - she kept pushing me saying I must have a feeling. I explained that I can't think too much about it as I can't take another lost baby. I feel really bad keeping everything at arms length but even at 20 weeks I can't quite believe it's all going to be ok - I'm hoping after the scan I'm going to relax a bit!

worriedmum100 · 15/02/2015 07:51

Treacle - see my latest post. I was in exactly your position yesterday and decided to have another scan, despite having one at 6+5. I also had an NHS one booked for Friday but the anxiety wasn't going to let me hold out until then. I'll probably go for that one as well! In these early stages whatever works to calm your anxiety is fine I reckon! I slept so well last night and actually feel relaxed. Prob ably won't last long! x

broodylicious · 15/02/2015 08:06

Perfectly normal treacle. I'm 17+6 and I'm not at all relaxed. I bought a vest and a little matching trousers and top set yesterday - the first things I've bought for baby - in the hope it'd make things a bit more real. Instead it's just made me worry more. Now convinced myself baby has Downs and so worried about dealing with that (we are seeing consultant tomorrow morning) and because I'm not feeling movement and my sickness has eased (not completely gone), I'm totally panicked that I'm mc again. Crazy neurotic here, yes! If a scan will get you through the next four weeks, do it.

blankfornames · 15/02/2015 08:28

Thanks a million Silverine. Can't believe Im top of the list! Hope Bean doesn't take after me in the efficiency or time keeping areas! 39+3 today. I'm like you with lots of BH but apart from too much energy..no other symptoms of starting soon. I'm doing everything in my power to move things along but you'd wonder how many things are myths!!

Treacle, if you think a scan would assure you, well do it. The 1st trimester is the hardest out of them all. At least as time goes on you will have movements and a growing bump to keep you sane but once you get to the stage of symptoms wearing off as placenta is taking over..it's so normal to feel paranoid.

Happy, I felt little bubbles at 15 wks so highly possible that that is your Bean giving you a little poke. They weren't hugely frequent at the beginning so hold tight for more soon.

Tanny, that's quite scary about the leak. Id never worry about our gas fire but you never really know I suppose.

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/02/2015 08:30

Treacle I was just telling a friend yesterday that it doesn't feel real and I still can't seem to imagine having an actual baby at the end of this. I am hoping the 20 week scan convinces me.

Thinking of you for tomorrow Broody hope it goes ok and you can get some sort of reassurance. I know this doesn't help but with those odds, which we know are probably high due to being the quad test, the chances of ds is still way less than 2%.

Treaclepie19 · 15/02/2015 08:47

Thank you all, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't come here!
I'll talk to DH about the scan.
9 weeks today :)

Broody, i hope tomorrow goes well x

OP posts:
longestlurkerever · 15/02/2015 08:55

Hugs to those feeling panicky today. I had a scan every 1-2 weeks in this pregnancy due to being under the rmc and it still felt an age between them. Has been better since 20 weeks as movements are more reassuring and I can't deny my cumbersome bump, but I still panicif i have a quiet few hours.

Thanks for the stats update. Wevare due quite a few thread babies over the next couple of weeks! To those at the bottom of the list, it won't be long till you start to move up and it's very satisfying! There will be October edds soon.

Good luck for your consultant appointment broody.
